F3A World Championship Officials Jury Michael Ramel, Germany Michael is an active F3A pilot in national and international competitions. Michael has been a member of the subcommittee for F3 RC Aerobatics since 2002 and the chairman since 2009. He has been a jury member five times. Jim Eichenberg, Canada Jim, 68, has been modeling for approximately 25 years. He has been involved with Precision Aerobatics for the past 20 years. During this time, Jim served as Contest Director on many local and national Precision Aerobatics contests. Jim s only international experience was in 2002, when he was the Contest Director for the F4B and F4C Scale Aircraft World Championship at Tillsonberg, Ontario. Robert Skinner, South Africa Bob started modeling at age 5. Bob was appointed a national judge in 1978 and judged his first international competition in 1982. Bob is currently CIAM president. On-site reserve Jurist, Derek Koopowitz, USA Henry Hutchinson, Australia Henry has been contest director for various Australian Nationals since 1983. He started in aeromodeling in 1970. In 2002 Henry was team manager for the Combined Asia Oceanic Continental Championship in Beijing China among many others. Henry is currently the Australian Parks Association Contest Director. Jean-Yves Castermans, Belgium Jean-Yves has been judging since around 1995 in F3A, F3M, and F3P in both local and international contests. He was invited to judge at the World Championship in 2005, 2007, 2009, and European Championship in 2010 as a reserve judge. Jean-Ives has also been a team manager for the Belgium team. Harry Ells, Canada Harry Ells has been involved in F3A competition for 29 years. He was the Canadian team manager for the World Champs in 2005, 2007, and 2009. Harry served as Canadian F3A committee chairman for 11 years and judged at many Canadian and USA nationals. Harry is also responsible for the Canadian team selection. Judges Jorge Olivella, Argentina Jorge has been modeling for 40 years. Several times he has been team manager for the Argentina team. Jorge was a judge in Poland in 1997, France in 2005, Argentina in 2007, and Portugal in 2009. 8 Praphon Techavipark, Thailand, Praphon Techavipark has 35 years aeromodeling experience, especially in F3A scale and helicopter. His first time to participate as a pilot in F3A World Champs was in 1981 in Acapulco, Mexico. Praphon was team manager and pilot for F3A in 2005 and 2007.

Judges Cont. Peter Uhlig, Germany Peter has experience in judging F3A in more than 35 events. He has been F3A chairman in Germany since 1998. Peter was an active F3A pilot from 1969 to 2001. He served as a German team member in 1992-1994. Peter ranked sixth in the European Championship in 1992. Harunobu (Ken) Hirose, Japan Harunobu starting competing in F3A in the mid-1970s. He has been a judge since 2004. Harunobu was the 2010 jury president for the Asia Oceanic Championship, organized the 2004 Japan Championship, is a delegate for Japan, and member of the F3A subcommittee at CIAM. He also is vice chairman of F3A in the Japan Model Aeronautic Federation. Noel Barrett, Ireland Noel has been a F3A Irish Team member from 1983 to 2006 including the three World Champs hosted in the US. He was one of three main organizers for the F3A World Champs in Ireland in 2001. Noel has judged for many events including the 2008 and 2010 European Champs, 2010 World Cup in San Marino, and the Home Internationals in Ireland in 2010. Gian Luigi Giannono, Italy Gian got involved in aeromodeling at an early age. He was seven when he built his first model. In 1983 Gian, with six other guys, founded a model club named Gruppo Aeromodellisti Valceresio and established a school with Federal instructors. He began to attend competitions for F3A Sport, F4C-1 Scale, and F3F Slope Soaring. Today he only flies sport models or racer slope soaring. Sigmund Beck, Lichtenstein Sigmund has F3A judging experience from 2000-2010. He has judged for events in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, San Marino, and many more. Bob Romijn, Netherlands Bob started aeromodeling in 1992 and quite early with model aerobatics. He has participated multiple times in national competitions. Bob was the team manager for the Dutch in the France World Champs. He was a judge at European competitions in 2006, 2008, and 2010, and the World Champs in 2009. Tom Eric Sorensen, Norway Eric has judged multiple World and European Championships throughout 2003-2010. He also has been a judge for the Nordic and National Champs since 1998, and the World Cup and International events in 2008-2011. Emanuel Fernandes, Portugal Emanuel, 60, has been an active RC modeler since 1975. He became involved in F3A in the early 1980s and has been judging since 1990. Emanuel represents Portugal on the F3A RC Aerobatics subcommittee since the 1990s and has been working since with the Portuguese Aeromodeling Federation giving judging courses and updating seminars. Dmitry Chaplygin, Russia Dmitry is a design engineer of planes by profession. He has been flying since 1976 and judging since 2005. 9

Judges Cont. Christo Rust, South Africa Christo has been an aeromodeler for 40 years. He has judged Aerobatics for 18 years in South African national and international competitions as well as in Argentina, Germany, Israel, USA, and Zimbabwe. Christo has been a vice chairman and chief judge for the Model Aerobatic Association of South Africa. Richard Cheong, Singapore Richard Cheong, began his modeling activities in the 1960s. He judged the Singapore Nationals from 1996 to 2009. Richard also has served as a judge for CAOCC multiple times as well as the Hong Kong team trials. Robert Ailles, United Kingdom Robert started modeling in 1963. He left the hobby in 1975 because of family commitments, returning again in 1985. Robert started judging in 1995, and became the GBR/ CAA Chief Judge in November 2000. He has judged three European Championships since 2004 and three World Championships since 2005. Dale Arnold, United States, Judge Dale has been involved with RC airplanes since 1978 and began pattern flying in 1996. He began judging and competing in local and national pattern events in 1997. Dale was co-chairman of the F3A National Finals Unknowns Committee from 2005-2010, NSRCA judging chairman for AMA and F3A from 2008-2009, and AMA RC Aerobatics contest board member from 2010 to the present. Paris Christodoulides, Cyprus Paris has been in RC for the last 25 years. From 1994 until 2006, he was a member of the Cyprus National F3A Team. Paris has judged the 2009 and 2010 San Marino F3A Open and the 2010 F3A European Champs in Kepfenberg-Austria. Esa Eirola, Finland Esa has 37 years experience in RC. He competed in F3A from 1974-1999. He has judged F3A from 2005 to now. The Teams Argentina Australia Team Manager-Aaron Gerardo Man Aaron is the team manager for Argentina. Team Manager-Jason Sparks Jason, 42, is team manager for the Australia team. He is an airline pilot by profession. Jason has been involved in aeromodeling for five years. Pilot F3A-Daniel Alejandro Nieto Daniel is the Argentina F3A Champion from 2004, 2010, and 2011. Pilot F3A-Glenn Orchard Glen, 44, has been a modeler for 20 years. He is self-employed in retail. Glen placed second in the Australian Masters this year. He was also seventh in the 2010 FAI Asian Oceanic Championship and in 2008 placed ninth. Pilot F3A-Facundo Coppede Facundo has participated in three national competitions. Twice, he placed fourth in the national competitions. Helper-Graciela Pavon Pilot F3A-Marcelo Colombo Marcelo is a designer for CA Model. He is the 10-time Argentina Champion and three-time South America Champion. Marcelo is also a 12-time team member for F3A in international competitions. 12 Pilot F3A-Steve Coram Steve, 52, is a professional bricklayer. A modeler for 32 years, he is a 12-time Worlds team member and a 10-time Continental team member. In 1998 Steve won the Asian Continental and he is also a four-time Australian Masters winner. Pilot F3A-Paul Dart Paul, 35, took first place in the 2008 Australian Pattern Association Championship. He has been a modeler for 29 years and was an Australian team member at the 2009 World Championship in Portugal. Paul also placed third in the 2011 Australian Masters.

Helper-David Nugent Supporter-Brian Dart Junior Pilot-James Nugent James, 13, has been involved in aeromodeling for six years. He is a full-size glider pilot student and Gold Wings RC pilot. James placed second in the 2010 Australian Pattern Association Championship and fifth place in the 2011 Australian Masters. Austria was the 2008 and 2010 Austrian Champion and the 2008/2009 F3A World Cup winner. Pilot F3A-Markus Zeiner Markus, 38, is a production manager. He has been in aeromodeling for 30 years and is a two-time Austrian Champion. He placed second with his team in the European Championship in 2000 and 2010. Markus was also fifteenth at the World Championship in 2009 and tenth at the European Championship in 2010. Team Manager-Norbert Polatschek Norbert, 44, is a technical director by profession. He has been modeling for 32 years. Norbert has served as an F3A judge since 1995, judging 15 international and seven national competitions and was a pilot in Austria s national aerobatic class RC3. Pilot F3A-Helmut Danksagmueller Helmut, 52, is a mechanical engineer with 35 years in aeromodeling. He is the threetime Austrian Champion, placed fourteenth at the World Championship in 2009, and placed eighth at the European Championship in 2010. Pilot F3A-Gerhard Mayr Gerhard, 25, is an Innovation and Product Manager. He has been modeling for 20 years and is a 14-time winner of international F3A competitions. Gerhard 13 Helper-Martin Rodemund Helper-Water Mayr Helper-Franz Zeiner Supporter-Sigrid Schwaiger Supporter-Alexander Schwaiger Belgium Helper-Neils Supply Pilot-F3A Bert Delaere Bert, 32, works in an RC shop and has been a modeler for 20 years. He participated in the 2009 F3A World Championship in Portugal. Bert also was three-time Belgian Champion in F3M.

Team Manager/Pilot F3A- Carlos Hueb Carlos, 52, is an engineer with 30 years aeromodeling experience. He is a three-time Brazilian Champion. Carlos also participated in the World Championship five times. Brazil Pilot F3A-Marcos Angelo Malloy Resende Marcos, 65, is retired with 57 years of aeromodeling experience. He has participated in national championships since 1983 and seven South American championships since 1986. Marcos is also a F3A World Champ from 1989, 1995, 1999, 2003, 2007, and 2009. Helper-Diva Resende Canada Pilot F3A-Chad Northeast Chad, 34, has been modeling for 21 years and is an engineer by profession. He is a four-time World Championship semi-finalist, three-time US Nationals finalist, and six-time Canadian finalist. Chad has also been a national champion and national team member. Pilot F3A-Mark Byrne Mark, 50, is an aircraft composite manufacturer. He has been modeling for 25 years and was the 2006 Team Canada alternate/ mechanic. Mark also participated in the 2007 and 2008 US National Championships in F3A and this year is his first year as a pilot for the World Championship. Pilot F3A-Dezso Vaghy Dezso, 46, is an IT professional. He has been modeling for 23 years and is a seven-time Canadian team member. He also is a recent national champion and placed twenty-seventh overall at the 1999 Worlds in Pensacola, Florida. Dezso is the first Canadian to enter an electric airplane in Canadian F3A competition. Helper-Hartley Hughson Team Manager-Dave Reaville Dave, 53, is a professional pilot with 16 years in aeromodeling. He was a member of the 2007 Canadian F3A team to Argentina. He has been modeling for 30 years and was an FAI F3A National Champion in 1992, 1998-2003, and 2011. Federico was a team pilot in 2007 and took seventh in the South American FAI F3A Open in 2008. Pilot F3A-Zhendi Huang Helper-Yebin Tan Helper-Yujia Dou Supporter- Rong Zhang Chinese Taipei Pilot F3A-Marcelo Velez Marcelo, 30, is a mechanical engineer with 25 years of experience in aeromodeling. He has been a Precision Aerobatics competitor since 1988. Supporter-Rafael Cifuentes Pilot F3A-Armando Lega Armando, 29, is a commercial pilot. A modeler for 16 years, he was a team member at Pensacola in 1999 and is also involved in IMAC freestyle. Pilot F3A/Team Manager-Chen Chen Feng 15

Cyprus Pilot F3A-Nicolas Georgiades Nicolas, 25, has been aeromodeling for 19 years. He has participated in F3A for 11 years and was National Champion for 10 consecutive years. Nicolas also placed third in Juniors at the 2003 World Champs in Poland. Pilot F3A-Sergey Sheygas Sergey, 48, is an engineer by profession. He has been modeling for 30 years. Sergey has participated in the European and World championships. Ecuador France Pilot F3A-Lassi Nurila Lassi, 23, is a carpenter. He has been modeling for 11 years. Christophe was also the seventime European Champion and five-time World Champion. Pilot F3A-Benoit Paysant-Le Roux Benoit, 38, has been aeromodeling for 26 years. He is an artistic director by profession. Benoit was the 2009 F3A Vice World Champion and participated in the F3A World Championship in 1995, 2005, 2007, and 2009. He also participated in the European Champs in 1994, 1996, and 2006 and has been a Vice National Champion since 1994. Pilot F3A-Loic Burbaud Loic, 19, has been modeling for 8 years. Robin also competed in the 2010 European Championship in Austria. Team Manager-Christian Rannetshauser Christian, 40, has been modeling for five years. A sales director by profession, he has been a team manager since 2010 and has flow F3A for three years. Germany Junior Pilot F3A-Philip Rannetshauser Philip, 16, has been modeling for five years. He was the F3A Eurocup winner in 2008 and 2010. Philip has been in the F3A national league for four years. Hong Kong Pilot F3A-Bernd Beschorner Bernd, 37, is an aircraft engineer. He has been active in aeromodeling for 26 years. Bernd is a nine-time German National Champion, German Akro Masters Champion and Vice Champion, and three-time finalist in the F3A World Championship. He is the winner of approximately 50 national and international competitions. Pilot F3A-Gunther Ulsamer Gunther, 56, has been modeling for 40 years. He has devoted 29 years to F3A. Gunther has been a federal league competitor since 1986 and was a World Championship competitor in 1995, 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2009. Pilot F3A-Robin Trumpp Robin, 17, has been involved in aeromodeling for Pilot F3A/Team Manager- Alex Lau Alex, 53, is a modeler by profession. He has spent 30 years in aeromodeling. Alex is a multi-hong Kong F3A Champion and multiparticipate of the F3A World Championship. Pilot F3A-Andy Lau Andy, 30, is an airline pilot who s been involved in aeromodeling for 18 years. He has competed at three world championships, two CAOCCs, and two World Jet Masters. Andy is the youngest local F3A champion (at age 17) and a multiple Hong Kong F3A champion. 17

Pilot F3A-Louis Peng Lois, 40, has spent five years in aeromodeling. He was the first runner up in the F3A Hong Kong Team Trials in 2011. years. He is the current Irish F3A National Champion. Helper-Roald Dogge Ireland Israel Team Manager-Paul Houlihan Paul, 56, is a driving instructor by profession. He has been involved in aeromodeling for 21 years. Paul traveled as part of the Irish team to six World and European championships since 1995. Pilot F3A-Angus Balfour Angus, 31, has been involved in aeromodeling for 23 years. He a 10-time Scottish Champion, eight-time Triple Crown individual winner, and seventime member of a winning team. Angus was also a semi finalist at the World and European championships. Pilot F3A-Isaac Najary Isaac, 57, is a CPA. He has spent 47 years with aeromodeling. Isaac was the 2005 Israeli Champion and participated in the World Championship in 2001 and 2005. Pilot F3A/Team Manager-Ohad Zarko Ohad, 39, is a pilot with 29 years in aeromodeling. He was the Israel Champion from 2006-2009 and European Champion in 2008 and 2010. Ohad is also the 2009 World Champion. Pilot F3A-Shane Robinson Shane, 38, is a five-time Irish National Champion. He also made semi finals demo pilot for the last two world championships. This will be his fifth F3A World Championship. He took third place in the 2010 Italian Championship and fifth place in a F3A World Cup. Hannes is also a European Team Champion. Pilot F3A-Christian Ghizzi Christian, 35, has been aeromodeling for 8 years. He has participated in many Italian F3A competitions. Junior Pilot F3A-Marco Mazzucchelli Marco, 16, is a student with nine years in modeling. He took second place in the National F3A Team Manager-Giichi Naruke Giichi, 61, has been aeromodeling for 46 years. He is the 1995 and 1997 F3A World Champion and he took second place in 1999. Giichi is a 15-time Japan National Champion. Japan Pilot F3A-Tetsuo Onda Tetsuo, 24, has been aeromodeling for 18 years. From 2003-2010 he was the F3A Japan Champion. He took second place at the 2005 F3A World Championship, and third in 2007 and 2009. Tetsuo was also an F3P Champion in 2008-2009 at the Pre Japan Championship. Pilot F3A-Koji Suzuki Koji, 47, is in radio control sales. He has been modeling for 40 years. Koji has participated in several 19

She was the World Championship team manager in 1989, 1991, 1993, and 1997. Noeline was also a F3A jury member for the Australian Masters. Helper-Brian Dooely Helper-Bill Bellian Pilot F3A-Stefan Kaiser Stefan, 19, has been in aeromodeling for 6 years. He took third place in the 2010 World Cup and fourth at the 2010 European Championships. Stefan is a two-time Lichtenstein Champion. New Zealand Pilot F3A-Ross Craighead Ross, 58, has been involved in aeromodeling for 45 years. He is a nine-time and current National F3A Champion. Ross was a world champs team member in 1989, 1991, 1993, and 1999. 20

Helper-Bert Van de Vecht Helper-Dick Van de Vecht Pilot F3A/Team Manager-Ola Fremming Ola, 47, is an engineer with 32 years of modeling experience. He is a 10-time National Champion, seven-time Nordic Champion, and 10-time European Champion. Netherlands Norway Pilot F3A-Alexander Heindel Alexander, 46, is a mechanic with 35 years involvement in aeromodeling. He took second at the 2010 Norwegian Nationals Cup and third in the 2010 Norwegian Championship. Alexander also participated in the World Cup in 2008-2010. Team Manager-Sebastiano Silvestri Sebastiano, 37, has been modeling for 28 years. He is a 13-time Italian Champion, and the F3A 2008 Vice European Champion. Sebastiano is the winner of more than 20 international F3A competitions. San Marino Pilot F3A-Massimo Selva Massimo, 40, is a government employee with 28 years in aeromodeling. He has competed in all F3A World and European championships since 1998. Massimo was a semifinalist in the last World and European champs. 21

He is a South Africa National Champion and was a threetime South Africa team member for F3A. John is also the South Africa delegate to CIAM. Pilot F3A-Pierre Marais Pierre, 54, is a financial advisor with 25 years in aeromodeling. His is a threetime National Champion. Pierre has participated in five World Championships. Pilot F3A-André Stockwell André, 53, is an engineer with 38 years in aeromodeling. He is the current South African Champion and has worked the National Championship 11 times. This will be André s eighth World Championship. Pilot F3A-Marc Wolffe Marc, 45, has been involved in modeling for 34 years. He was a South Africa team member for the 2007 and 2009 World Championships. Pilot F3A-Park Ji Ho Park, 40, has been an aeromodeler for 10 years. This will be his first time competing in the F3A World Championship. Helper-Lee Kyu Ho Supporter-Lee Moon Sun Supporter-Kim Dae Sik Pilot F3A/Team Manager- Bernhard Schaden Bernhard, 43, is an entrepreneur with 25 years in modeling. He is a several time Swiss Champion. Bernhard placed seventh in the 2006 European Championship and 26 th in the 2009 World Championship. United Kingdom Pilot F3A-Keith Jackson Keith, 45, has been aeromodeling for 33 years. He has competed in F3A since 1996 and has attended both World and European championships. Pilot F3A-Richard Christopher Richard, 35, is a mechanical design engineer. He has been involved in modeling for 30 years. Richard was National Champion in 2007 and a three-time British Champion. He participated in the 2009 World Championship taking 41 st place. Pilot F3A-Adam Mendonca Adam, 19, is a student. He has been in aeromodeling for 10 years. Helper-Adrian Harrison Pilot F3A-Matt Hoyland Matt, 29, has been modeling for 20 years. This is his first F3A World Championship. Chip is a two-time World Champion, three-time TOC Champion, and three-time Vice TOC Champion. Pilot F3A-Brett Wickizer Brett, 21, has been modeling for 9 years. He took third place in the 2008 and 2009 US F3A Nationals. Brett has also taken fourth at the 2010 F3A Nationals. Pilot F3A-Alejandro Pereira Alejandro, 42, is an aircraft engineer with 22 years of experience in model aviation. He took second place in the 2010 National Championship. Alejandro was also a pilot for the World Champs in 2007, 2009, and the 2010 Open International in Columbia. Pilot F3A/Team Manager-Carlos Silva Carlos, 30, is a stock broker who has been active in model aviation for 23 years. He has participated in several World Championships.
