American Thoroughbred Handicapping Program
The Program s Main Menu Model above When the program starts up, this is the first screen you will see. As you can see it looks very simple, and it is very easy to operate and use. FORM: When you click on this Button it will take you to a Form Module where you can use either Brisnet or TSN s Racing form program, which is available for free from your Data file Supplier you are signed up with.
As an example we are using Brisnet s Version, see picture below. When you are finished using the Form Generator, exit the Program and you will come back to this Form screen, where you can click the EXIT Button to take you back to the Main Program Module.
Back at the Main Program Module import the data file We now have only 1 Program to handle all 3 Data File Suppliers So let s choose the first one on the list Brisnet, click on the Brisnet Button Your Data Files are listed on the left side, Brisnet having the K behind the Number, TSN an I and Procap an S.
Here we are using Brisnet; let s select your Brisnet Data File on the left and press Import on the right You will see this screen appear and 2 other ones, just Mouse click a few times and your Data will be imported into ATH readable format. At the same time it will prepare your Data and do all the calculations. Once you are finished Use the EXIT Button to bring you back to the Main Program The next item on the list will be the Horses Module. You will find each screen represents the complete record of each horse. Times, wins, win percentage, the trainer s records and also the jockey s. See the screen below.
Click on the Next button and the next horse s records in this race will be shown. If you know that the horse that you are looking at is scratched, you can use the Scratch button and the horse will be eliminated This is good for when you are later printing the report, the scratched horse will not be printed either, making it easier to evaluate the race. Procap and Brisnet have a Power Number, while TSN Data Files do not. We, however, have designed our own Power Number ( Horses Points ). Pace and Speed Points are our own calculations and do combine the Speed and Pace Ratings that are included in your Data File. Predicted Time is the time in seconds that the horse is capable to run the race. When you are finished looking at your horse s records you want to get on to the most important part of the program: the selections of the horses. To exit properly click on the reports button from the main module. Look at the screen below. You have a few options here, you can select what ever track conditions exist today at your race track, and you also have race summaries for each race. Let s get going and we ll select Fast Dirt Track.
See next Screen, below NOW THIS IS CRITICALL Trackcode: Some tracks have 2 and some have 3 letters (do not enter an X ). Enter the 2 or 3 Letters, if only 2 show, don t worry, as long as you entered them it will work.
Race Date: MAKE SURE you enter the correct Date otherwise, you will get ERROR Messages displayed that will tell you either no data available or you may get the message the date is wrong. Race Number: If you want to see or print them all, leave the 0 in the space. Should you just want to see one particular race, enter that number and it will take you to that race. When you filled out the little Form correctly press OK and you will come to the next Scree, where you have a Choice to either Print the Races and view them on your Computer Screen Here we select print and you have your first race displayed below.
You can see on the picture the way the program selected the horses. The top horse is considered the better horse as you can see by the points on the right side of the screen and are listed going down as next in line. Naturally, I would love to be right all the time, but as you well know, we are talking horse racing and many variables will come into play that may-and a lot of timeswill change the outcome of the races. To go on to the next race click on the Next button. When finished with your viewing of the races click OK and you will be brought back to the reports module you started from. If you are finished either viewing or printing and want to do something different, press Cancel to get back to the main reports module. Take a look at the summary for Race 1. Press the RACE 1 Button and here is your next picture.
You can select horse s distance records, track records and horse s previous records to display. Let s start with Distance Records. The screen below will show: To leave this Screen, Press the <ESC> key on your keyboard. Next would be Track Records.
Again when finished press <ESC> key. Next is previous records. You will have 3 screens to display. To see the next one, again press the <ESC> key.
When done <ESC> And again <ESC>. And you are back to the earlier module. Now let s select Jockeys.
And again for the Trainers <ESC>. When done with all this, exit and return to the main program module, where you have one more choice utility program.
2 Choices here Wagering: A little program written by some Genius, where you can figure out what your wagers will be before you go to the Wicket to lay your money down.
