X LISBON INTERNATIONAL MEETING The X LISBON INTERNTIONAL MEETING will be held on February 10 th and 11 th 2018, at the Jamor Swimming Complex, on 50 meters, heated swimming pool, 10 lanes, with electronic timing equipment. 1. ORGANIZATION REGULATIONS 1.1. The competition is organized by the Lisbon Swimming Association (ANL) 2. RULES 2.1. Competition is organized according to the FINA and Portuguese Swimming Federation (FPN) rules and regulations. 3. PANEL OF JUDGES 3.1. The judges belong to the Lisbon Swimming Association; 4. PARTICIPATION 4.1. National and foreign federations, teams or clubs are entitled to compete upon ANL invitation, providing that their federations are FINA s members. 4.2. Participation is Open - Absolute 5. COMPETITION 5.1. Timetable Date Session Warm-Up Events 1 st Day 10-Feb-2018 2 nd Day 11-Feb-2018 Heats 7h30 9h00 Finals 15h00 16h30 Heats 7h30 9h00 Finals 15h00 16h30 5.2. The competition is held over two days, each day with a preliminary heats session and a finals session; 5.3. The swimming pool is available for the warm-up sessions 90 minutes before the start of the competition. Warm/up must finish 75 minutes later. 5.4. Preliminary heats and will use 10 lanes; 5.5. Preliminary Heats Sessions: 5.5.1. Preliminary heats and slow heats for 400 Medley, 800 Freestyle and 1500 Freestyle will take place during morning sessions; 5.5.2. Lane placing during the morning session will be based on entry times; In a trial, if the number of participants (enrolments) is equal or below 10, there will be a direct A final. If the number is under 20 only Final A will take place; 5.5.3. For the 400 Medley, 800 Freestyle and 1500 Freestyle events: Only the 20 best entry times will be admitted. All other enrolments for these events will be held as reserves. Página 3 de 8
Any withdrawals from these events should be communicated to the Organization 72 hours before the beginning of the competition, and will be replaced with reserves accordingly to entry times; Teams not complying with the 72 hour withdraw period will be fined in 30. 5.5.4. Each club or team is only allowed to enroll one relay team per event; 5.5.5. Relay teams constitution must be submitted before the beginning of each session. 5.6. Finals Qualification: 5.6.1. Qualification for the finals are as follows; a) The best 10 times of each preliminary heats will qualify for the Final A. The 11th and 12th best times will be held as replacements; b) Swimmers from 11th to 20th times of each preliminary heats will qualify to the Final B. All preliminary swimmers will be held as replacements according to their classification; c) If a tie should happen, involving any number of swimmers in qualifying positions for finals, a siwm-off will be held 30 minutes after the end of the session; d) For relay events only Final A will take place; 5.6.2. All absences from the finals must be confirmed with the Organization at least 30 minutes after the end of each qualifying session. 5.6.3. If 4.7.2 is not observed, the club or team will be fined 70. 5.7. Finals: 5.7.1. All Finals and fast heats for 400 Medley, 800 Freestyle and 1500 Freestyle will take place during the afternoon sessions; 5.7.2. In the afternoon sessions, Finals A will be held before Finals B; 6. INDIVIDUAL CLASSIFICATION 6.1. For each event there will be only Open Classifications 7. TEAM CLASSIFICATION 7.1. Team classification will be separated in the following categories: Team/Clubs Classification National/Regional Teams Classification 7.2. 7.3. There will be no points attributed to disqualifications; 7.4. If a tie between two or more swimmers should occur, points attributed will be calculated by the sum of all points won divided by the number of swimmers in question; 7.5. For relay events, points will be doubled; 8. PRIZES 8.1. Individual Prizes 8.1.1. Medals will be awarded to the best three places of each Final A event; 8.1.2. Medalists will also get the following prizes: Event Awards 1 st Place 2 nd Place 3 rd Place Individual Events 50 25 10 Relay Events 100 50 25 8.1.3. A trophy will be awarded for the best male and female swimmer according to the most recent FINA POINTS SCORING TABLE. 8.2. Record Prizes 8.2.1. Cash prizes will be awarded to: Portuguese National Absolute Record 200 8.2.2. Record Prizes will only be attributed to results obtained in finals: 8.3. Team/Club Prizes 8.3.1. The first three Teams/Clubs will be awarded with trophies 8.3.2. A trophy will be awarded for the best national or regional team 8.3.3. Ties: All ties for collective classifications will be resolved by using the number of first places obtained by the evolved teams. If not enough, the number of second places will be used and so on, until ordering the teams is possible. 8.4. Teams excellence subvention 8.4.1. A 200 team subvention will be granted for each swimmer that obtain on finals a FINA point score higher than: Teams subvention 400, 800, and 1500 meter events 830 pts 50, 100, and 200 meter events 800 pts Página 5 de 8
8.5. Other Prizes 8.5.1. Other possible prizes will be disclosed in due time; 8.6. Uncollected Prizes will not be sent 9. ADMISSION TIMES 9.1. If the admission time is not obtained during preliminary heats and the swimmer does not qualify for the Finals, the Team will be charged a 10 Euros fine; 9.2. If the admission time is not obtained during finals, the Team will be charged a 5 Euros fine; 9.3. 11. ENROLEMENTS 11.1. All entry times should be obtained between January 1 st, 2017 and January 28 th 2018; 11.2. Enrolment Fees: -For each Individual Event -For each Relay Event - 5 Euros - 10 Euros 11.3. Entries should be sent to the ANL internet address at inscricoes@anlisboa.pt by the January 29 th 2018, using the appropriate form. 11.3.1. Entry fees payment are to be made at the same time as submission of inscriptions and must also be accompanied by a 25 pledge to ensure minimum mark fines. Once they ve been collected the remaining amount will be returned at the end of the Meeting by. All payments shall be done by Banking transfer to: IBAN: PT50 0018 0008 0404 3773 0207 5; Alternatively the entry fee payment has to be made at arrival by cash before the first start in the Check-In (accreditation) 11.3.2. Entries acceptance is subject to reception of payment; 12. JOURNEY, ACCOMODATION Actual journey information on hotels and hostels will be available on the meeting homepage. The clubs have exclusively to request, book and reserve accommodation for themselves, however you can contact Lisbon Swimming Association for any additional help needed. 13. OMISSIONS Any omission will be handled according with the Portuguese Swimming Federation (FPN) rules and regulations 14. JURY OF APPEAL All protests to the Referee s decision must be submitted to the Referee in writing within 30 minutes after the event, signed by the Team Manager of the participating Club and accompanied by 100. If the protest is upheld the fee will be returned to the Team Manager.
