SCENE 1: THE OCEAN Narrator- Our story begins on a beautiful morning in the big world of the ocean. Two bright orange clownfish named Marlin and Nemo are getting ready for Nemo s very first day of school. As Nemo s father, Marlin is naturally nervous about sending his son out into his ocean school for the first time, but Nemo can t wait. Big Blue World (Groups A & B) MARLIN- Nemo! NEMO- Come on, Dad! MARLIN- Hold my fin! Hold my fin! SCENE 2: SCHOOL MR. RAY- I m your teacher, Mr. Ray. Today we re going to have a great adventure exploring the ocean. (group cheers) MR. RAY- Are we ready explorers? Who s this? NEMO- I m Nemo. MARLIN- He s got a little fin so if he gets tired, just give him a little break. Ten, fifteen minutes NEMO- Dad! MR. RAY- Don t worry. We re gonna travel as a group. Alright, kids! Here we are at the drop off. Stick together and stay away from the edge. Go explore! SCENE 2: THE DROP OFF (Groups A&B) SCHOOL FISH 1-ZAYNA DALVI- Look at us! SCHOOL FISH 2-STELLA TANG- We re gonna touch the boat! SCHOOL FISH 3-MADELINE HOLLINS- Come on, Nemo! SCHOOL FISH 4-SUMMER SMITH- How far can you go? SCHOOL FISH 5-SAACHI CHADHA- My dad says it isn t safe to go near the drop off. SCHOOL FISH 6-ZOEY DAZVI- We ll be fine! SCHOOL FISH 7-EMILY GRACE CASSANO- We ve done is dozens of times! SCHOOL FISH 8-BELLA ESPOSITO- You re not scared, are you? SCHOOL FISH 9-MATTEO PACIFICO- I think he s scared. SCHOOL FISH 10-SIDDHANTH BURRA- Not afraid of the drop off, are you? SCHOOL FISH 11-BRIDGET MULVANEY- Come on Nemo. Lets go!
SCHOOL FISH 12-CAILYN MULVANEY- It s ok. Don t be scared! NEMO- Well, if you guys are gonna go MARLIN- Nemo! No! You can t be anywhere near here! NEMO- I wasn t gonna- MARLIN- You know you can t swim well! NEMO- I can. MARLIN- You can t! Now come along. You think you can do these things, but you just can t Nemo! NEMO- I hate you. MARLIN- Nemo! What are you doing? You get back here! You are in BIG trouble, young man. Do you hear me? Big, big- NEMO- Ahhh! Daddy! Help me! MARLIN- Nemo! I m coming, Nemo! Wait! Nemo! SCENE 3: THE OCEAN DORY- Look out! MARLIN- oomph! DORY- Sorry, sir! MARLIN- Oh, have you seen a little orange clownfish? DORY- A little orange clownfish? Oh! I ve seen a little orange clownfish! Follow me! (they start to swim away) DORY- Do you mind? MARLIN- What? DORY- I m trying to swim here. MARLIN- But you were showing me which way the orange clownfish went. DORY- A clownfish? I ve seen a clownfish! Follow me! MARLIN- Wait! We already did this. DORY- We did? Oh dear. I guess I should explain. I have short term memory loss. I forget things almost instantly may I help you? MARLIN- There s something wrong with you. You re wasting my time I have to find my son. SCENE 4: SHARK S DEN
BRUCE- Hello DORY- Well, hi! BRUCE- Name s Bruce. ANCHOR- I m Anchor. CHUM- My friends call me Chum. DORY- I m Dory and this is- MARLIN- Uh, you don t need to know. I m nobody, really. I was just leaving. BRUCE- I d like to invite you fishies to a little party I m having. DORY- Hey look! Balloons! It is a party! ANCHOR- Alright then! Our meeting has officially come to order. CHUM- Let us all say the pledge! ALL SHARKS- I am a nice shark. Not a mindless eating machine. If I want to change this image, I must first change myself. Fish are friends, not food. BRUCE- So as you can see, we aren t your normal everyday sharks. ANCHOR- We believe in equality for all sea creatures! MARLIN- Dory, look! I think I see my son s fin-prints in the sand over there. Let s follow them. DORY- Your son, Harpo? MARLIN- No, no, my son Nemo! CHUM- We can help you find your son. ANCHOR- Yes, we re excellent at tracking things down. BRUCE- We re also great at catching waves! MARLIN- What are we waiting for? Let s go! Catch a Wave (Groups E & F) SCENE 5: THE FISH TANK DENTIST- Hey little guy! You re gonna make a good present for my niece s birthday on Friday! Darla is going to love you little fishy. NEMO- Dad? Daddy? DEB- Oh no we scared him! PEACH- I don t know why we just cant say hello?
NEMO- I want to go home! Daddy! PEACH- Honey, your dad is probably back in the pet shore. NEMO- Pet store? BLOAT- Yeah, ya know. Like, I m from Bob s Fish Farm. DEB- Fish-O-Rama. BUBBLES- Mail-order PEACH- E-bay. NEMO- I m from the ocean. NIGEL- The ocean, eh? DEB, BLOAT, BUBBLES, AND PEACH- Hi Nigel! NIGEL- Well, I m from the ocean too! Sorry if I ever took a snap at yah. Now you re stuck in the dentists fish tank with the rest of us. NEMO- I heard him say I was a present for Darla. DEB- Darla is evil! Evil! BUBBLES- she s a fish killer! NEMO- I can t go with her! I have to get back to my dad! GILL- Stop! Nobody move. I ve been watching you, kid. You re small enough to break us free. NEMO- But I don t swim well. I got a bad fin. GILL- One bad fin has never stopped me. PEACH- Your escape plans never work, Gill. GILL- This little guy is one of us now. And we can t send him off to death. BUBBLES- Darla s coming in five days and he ll be long gone by then. GILL- We all will! When this kid jams the filter the tank will get filthy, and the dentist will have to clean it. He ll put us into individual bags and we ll roll out the window into the ocean! So what s your name, kid? NEMO- I m Nemo. GILL- Alright, Nemo. Let s jam that filter! (Everyone swims off to jam the filter, but are pushed back on stage) NEMO- Now, we ll never get out! GILL- Never say never, kid. There s other ways out of this place. Remember, all drains lead to the ocean. We got a sink right there, a toilet over there.
NEMO- Ew! GILL- Besides, you got your dad out there looking for you. Bet he s on his way right now. Sea Cruise (Group F) SCENE 8: THE OCEAN MARLIN- This is hopeless. We re never gonna find him. ANCHOR- Let s just keep going, we re bound to find him along our way. CHUM- Let s go! BRUCE- I ll race you! DORY- Marlin, did you hear that? CRUSH- What s up man? I m Crush and this is Squirt and Guppy. Wanna hang out with us for a little? SQUIRT- Kowabunga dude! MARLIN- This is fun and all, but I gotta get out of here! I have to find my son! SQUIRT- What happened to your son? CRUSH- What s the rush? Take it easy man. Sometimes you just gotta go surfin! Surfin USA (Groups C&D) CRUSH- Gotta drop you here dudes! We got our own business to take care of. Good luck! SQUIRT- Good luck, amigo! Hope you find your son! SCENE 9: THE OCEAN (GOSSIP) Groups C & D OCTOPUS MOM 1-CLAIRE YU- Did you hear about that poor little clownfish? OCTOPUS MOM 2-EMILY VEGTER- The one whose son was take from the reef? OCTOPUS MOM 3 ALEXA NOONAN Oh that was just terrible wasn t it? OCTOPUS BABY- AANYA RANGAVAIJULA- Mom? Mom? Mom? Mommy! OCTOPUS MOM 2-EMILY VEGTER- That must be scary, losing your son. OCTOPUS BABY-AANYA RANGAVAIJULA- MOM! (Marlin, Dory, and Sharks swim by. The moms don t notice) OCTOPUS MOM 1-CLAIRE YU- Wait a sec. Not now sweetie! Mommy s only got eight hands! OCTOPUS BABY-AANYA RANGAVAIJULA- But MOOOOOOOM!! (Pointing to Marlin, Dory and sharks; who have made their way offstage)
OCTOPUS MOM 2-EMILY VEGTER- Anyway, he was swimming where he shouldn t have been and he was taken! OCTOPUS MOM 1-CLAIRE YU- They haven t been able to find him since. OCTOPUS MOM 3 ALEXA NOONAN That is why we have to make sure we pay attention to our young! ------------------------------ LOBSTER 1-ANISH RANGAVAIJULA- He went to the three ferocious sharks. LOBSTER 2-ZOOEY SMITH- What did he do? LOBSTER 3-MAY SWAIN- He goes and blows them up! LOBSTER 2-ZOOEY SMITH- Wow! Now that s a tale! LOBSTER 3-MAY SWAIN- (acknowledging her tale) Why, thank you! LOBSTER 1-ANISH RANGAVAIJULA- Yeah don t think she meant it that way. ----------------------- PENGUIN 1-POSEY PAIEMENT- First he was swimming just minding his own business. PENGUIN 2-LILLY SANTILLAN- Looking for something to eat. PENGUIN 3-VICTORIA SCORZAFAVA- Fish get hungry, you know. PENGUIN 4-DIEGO DAVIES- I hear ya. Then what happened? PENGUIN 1-POSEY PAIEMENT- Then this whale comes along and takes him straight to Sydney Harbor. PENGUIN 2-LILLY SANTILLAN- And the whale shoots him out his spout! PENGUIN 3-VICTORIA SCORZAFAVA- Right up in to the air! PENGUIN 4-DIEGO DAVIES- That s amazing! Wait were penguins we cant fly! ALL- AHHHHHHHH!!!!! ----------------------- SWORDFISH 1-AVA TANG- I cant tell you. I promised. Sorry! SWORDFISH 2-ANNIKA DAVIES- I ll tell you what I heard if you tell me what you heard. SWORDFISH 3-QUINN SMITH- Ok then. What did you hear? SWORDFISH 1AVA TANG- I heard he went face to face with a jellyfish. SWORDFISH 2-ANNIKA DAVIES- You heard incorrectly my friend. It was an entire jellyfish forest. SWORDFISH 3-QUINN SMITH- Be that as it may. He made it out unharmed. SWORDFISH 1-AVA TANG- Gosh, that s crazy!
SWORDFISH 2-ANNIKA DAVIES- You re telling me. SWORDFISH 3-QUINN SMITH- It must be like a crazy roller coaster for Marlin. Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride (Group E) SCENE 10: THE FISH TANK NIGEL- Nemo! Nemo! Your dad s been fighting the entire ocean looking for you! NEMO- My dad? Really?! DEB- He s traveled hundreds of miles! BLOAT- He s made friends with whales and seaturtles! And he s battled sharks and jellyfish! PEACH- Word is, he s in the harbor right now! NIGEL- I ll go find him. Everyone, follow me! We re bustin out of this tank once and for all! Let s go! ALL- Yeah! We swim together! Just keep swimming! (They all exit off stage) DENTIST- Hey, wait! Don t leave! You ll miss out on meeting Darla! SCENE 11: THE OCEAN MARLIN- It s over. Nemo s gone. I couldn t I m going home now. DORY- No wait! Please don t go away. Please? NEMO- Dad! MARLIN- Nemo! Are you ok? NEMO- I m fine, Dad! Meet my new friends! MARLIN- Don t ever run away from me again! NEMO- I won t Dad. I promise! DORY- Good. Besides, everything is so much better under the sea! Under the Sea (All Groups)
