I am sorry that I am not able to produce a Cat Tracks newsletter on a regular basis. I just can t seem to come up with the time. If anyone would like to take over as CAT TRACKS editor, or lend a hand in producing an edition of CAT TRACKS, give me a shout! CAT TRACKS 2 Winter 2015 Lions Christmas Tree Lot 2014 The season started out cold and ended up warm and foggy. A strange season indeed. It was so cold in November that the ground was nearly too frozen to pound posts for the November 15 th setup. However, by the end of the season, there was no snow left and the ground wasn t even frozen. Despite the strange weather, sales were good and results were consistent with the prior year. We did have some first time customers visiting the lot regularly (see the photos below). Lion Chairpersons Hess, Lyon and Ginsbach are calling this season the year of the turkey. We cannot thank everyone enough for coming out to volunteer their time, especially during those days early in the season when high temps barely made it into double digits. You helped make the Chanhassen Lions Tree lot at Cub Foods a very successful fundraiser! Kids Raffle Results: The winner of the RipStik skateboard was 10 year old Katlyn Erickson of Chanhassen and the winner of the Razor scooter was 6 year old Lauren Petrie of Chanhassen. CAT TRACKS 5 Winter 2015 Thank You Notes Dear Chanhassen Lions Club: The Minnesota Lions Eye Bank, Children s Eye Clinic and Macular Degeneration Center gratefully acknowledges your gift to our organization. Vision is life s most priceless treasure, and we thank you for helping to give this gift to those less fortunate. Lion Brian Salisbury Cabinet Co-Chair Minnesota Lions Vision Foundation Dear Members of the Chanhassen Lions Club: Thank you for the $500 scholarship via Chanhassen High School. This gift will make a huge difference in affording my college education this fall. I look forward to studying psychology at the University of St. Thomas, as well as getting involved in the University s volunteer groups, sports, and church ministry. Thank you again for your award and acknowledgement. Sincerely, Megan Grossfeld Chanhassen Dear Chanhassen Lions Club: Thank you for awarding me a $500 scholarship!
