We look forward to your school s participation in this event. GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION TEAM ADMISSION: Each participating school should have the following completed prior to competing in the Division I Boys Basketball Sectional Tournament: Boys Basketball Team Roster / Pass List Cheerleader Roster / Pass List All teams are asked to enter the Athletic Center through the Main Gymnasium and check in according to the Pass List. Only those listed on the Pass List shall be admitted without a ticket. ADMISSION PROCEDURE: Admission will be $7.00 each night. When purchasing a ticket, each person will receive a hand stamp and must show the stamp to be readmitted into the gymnasium. Pre-Sale Tickets: Tickets to be used for pre-sale are included with this packet of information. Schools may pre-sell to students and adults for $6.00 for their contest. All pre-sale money and remaining tickets must be returned to the Hamilton High School Athletic Office upon your arrival prior to the start of your school s game. Schools must sell a minimum of 25 pre-sale tickets in order to receive a bonus check from the Southwest District Athletic Board. Each school will then receive 50% of each pre-sale ticket sold after the first 25 tickets. PASSES: Only passes issued by the Southwest District Athletic Board will be accepted at the gate. PARKING: All team buses should drop off participants in front of the Hamilton High School Athletic Center and park in the lot directly behind the Athletic Center. CHEERLEADERS: The cheerleaders will cheer from the baseline closest to their team s bench.

GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION (Continued) LOCKER ROOMS: Teams will be assigned to locker rooms for the tournament. Teams should not leave any personal items unattended in the locker room. Hamilton High School will NOT assume any responsibility for lost or damaged items and all teams using the locker rooms are expected to maintain the cleanliness of the facility and treat the host facility with respect. GAME PROCEDURES: The game ball will be the OHSAA Rawlings ball. Each team will be given 20 minutes of warm-up time between games. No one will be permitted on the court at halftime. Hamilton will provide a cart of 12 balls (6 for each team) for the pre-game warm-up. TRAINING STAFF: The Hamilton Athletic Department in coordination with Fort Hamilton Hospital of the Kettering Health Network will provide the following certified Athletic Training Personnel: 1 Athletic Trainer TEAM AREAS: Teams are asked to sit in the stands at the end of either side of the gym. The team designated as the Home team will have their team bench on the west end of the gym. The team designated as the Away team will have their team bench on the east end of the gym. WARM-UP AREA: Teams will be permitted to use the Hamilton High School Auxiliary Gymnasium for warm up before their contest. GAME SEATING: Each team s adult spectators should sit in the bleachers directly behind and/or across from their team bench. Each team s student spectators should sit in the bleachers under the basket closest to their team bench. The area between the two student sections will be for general admission and spectators from the teams not playing in the game. We ask that when your game is complete that your spectators who are planning to stay move to the general admission seats under one of the two baskets.

GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION (Continued) SCORE KEEPING: Hamilton High School Athletic Department will provide for an official scorekeeper for each game. Please verify your official roster with our official scorekeeper at the scorer s table upon your team taking the floor for warm-up. Wayne Bowling will be the official scorekeeper. STATISTICS: Hamilton High School Athletic Department will provide for an official statistician for each game. Please verify your official roster with our official statistician at the scorer s table upon your team taking the floor for warm-up. Steve Heckman will be the official statistician. VIDEO/PHOTOS: OHSAA Tournament regulations allow for one (1) person to video your team s game. No team is permitted to video any of the other games. Teams may video from the track above the south stands in the Hamilton High School Athletic Center. All teams must supply their own video equipment. MEDIA/RADIO: OHSAA Tournament regulations permit live radio and audio internet broadcasts. However, any radio station or audio internet broadcast must incur a fee to broadcast each game live. The fee for broadcasting a Sectional/District Tournament in the Cincinnati market is $80.00 per game. Please inform your local broadcasters of this information if they plan to provide a live broadcast of you game. The Hamilton Athletic Department will do our best to provide an adequate area from which to broadcast any games. CONCESSIONS: The Hamilton High School Booster Club will be selling concession items throughout the tournament. The concession stand is located in the Hamilton High School Cafeteria. We ask that all food and drink be kept in this area.

TOURNAMENT DAILY SCHEDULE The following schedule will be followed for the first and second round games of the Division I Boys Basketball Sectional Tournament at the Hamilton High School Athletic Center: 4:30p Teams begin arriving at Hamilton High School to check-in and be directed to locker room area. 5:25p Teams playing in the first game may take the floor for a 10 minute shoot around. 5:35p Begin the 20 minute official pre-game warm-up for Game #1. 5:55p National Anthem and Team Introductions. 6:00p Tip-off of the First Round Sectional Tournament Game #1. 7:05p Begin the 20 minute official pre-game warm-up for Game #2. 7:25 p National Anthem and Team Introductions. 7:30p Tip-off of the First Round Sectional Tournament Game #2. The following schedule will be followed for the final round games of the Division I Boys Basketball Sectional Tournament at the Hamilton High School Athletic Center: 6:00p Teams begin arriving at Hamilton High School to check-in and be directed to locker room area. 6:55p Teams playing in the first game may take the floor for a 10 minute shoot around. 7:05p Begin the 20 minute official pre-game warm-up for Game #1. 7:25 p National Anthem and Team Introductions. 7:30p Tip-off of the First Round Sectional Tournament Game #2.

INCLEMENT WEATHER CONTINGENCY PLAN Given the unpredictability of winter weather and driving conditions, the Southwest District Board has issued a weather cancellation policy that will be followed by all tournaments in the Southwest District. This policy states that if any schools participating in our tournament are under an official level 2 or level 3 weather advisory, we will postpone the tournament. The following procedures will be implemented in the event of a level 2 or level 3 weather advisory: Communication: School/coach will be contacted one (1) hour prior to their departure time on hazardous weather days. Officials/Tournament workers will be included. Media: To the extent possible, postponements, delays, and date/time changes will be reported to local television and radio stations. The information will also be placed on the SWDAB.org. Contingency Plan: Postponement on Thursday, February 22 nd shall result in: Thursday s games would be played on Saturday, February 24th at 6:00 & 7:30 pm. Saturday s games would be played on Monday, February 26th at 6:00 & 7:30 pm. Contingency Plan: Postponement on Tuesday, February 27 th shall result in: Tuesday s games would be played on Wednesday, February 28th at 6:00 & 7:30 pm. Wednesday s games would be played on Thursday, March 1st at 6:00 & 7:30 pm. Contingency Plan: Postponement on Friday, March 2 nd shall result in: Friday s game being played on Saturday, March 3rd at 6:00 pm followed by the other Sectional Final game at 7:30 pm. Should weather conditions continue to impact the regular schedule of the tournament, plans shall be made for wrestling to be conducted on the next available date following the postponement, with every consideration being given to the safety and well-being of the participants and spectators.
