If you have a communitywide issue to raise and no other outlet, perhaps you should write a letter to the editor. Keep your verbage to less than 300 words, and keep your comments to the issues. This would be a no-libel zone. Letters must be signed. We will edit for AP Style and, if you exceed the word limit, space. will arrive at Emon Beach Tuesday, Dec. 19, at sunset. Bring the kids to this event. Classified Ads and Community Notices Seems like yesterday they were just eggs. I sat on them and kept them warm, protected them from snakes and other slimy things. Then they hatched and I had to break my beak digging in the dirt for worms...yuk! Not to mention LIVING WITH THEIR FATHER. So what happens, they grow a few feathers and they re Mr. and Miss BIG SHOT! Then they leave. Do they visit, do they call? Maybe a grub package on Mother s Day, big deal! But I m NOT COMPLAINING mind you... Join others who will spend Christmas Day without the kids. For more information, call Barbara, 50227.

For the children (Photo by KW Hillis) Melissa Burt, 12, applies a tattoo to a small visitor from Third Island during the Enniburr Children s Christmas Party on Roi-Namur Monday afternoon. The party drew 500 Enniburr residents, who enjoyed Santa and Mrs. Claus, toys, games, food and the annual Roi-Namur tree lighting. The evening ended with two Third Island youth groups singing songs at the Tradewinds Theater. Invite the community to attend the project dedication ceremonies on Friday. The ceremony at the Consolidated Maintenance Facility (across from Self Help) is at 9 a.m. and the one at the Space Surveillance and Telemetry Center (Building 1010) begins at 10 a.m. WEATHER Courtesy of Aeromet Sun Moon Tides Sunrise/set Moonrise/set High Tide Low Tide Tuesday 0653/1831 1925/0722 0435, 4.9' 1029, 0.3' December 12 Full Moon 1651, 6.2' 2318, 0.1' Sunday 0653/1831 2029/0826 0515, 4.8' 1107, 0.4' December 13 1731, 6.2' Monday 0654/1831 2132/0928 0557, 4.6' 0000, 0.3' December 14 1812, 5.9' 1147, 0.6' Tuesday 0655/1832 2234/1028 0642, 4.3' 0045, 0.5' December 15 1856, 5.5' 1229, 1.0'
