INTRODUCTION Thank you for taking the time to view our proposal and consider Fast Track Hobbies as your host for the 2018 USRA Division II National Championships. We would be honored to host this race, and ask for you vote. FACILITY Fast Track Hobbies has been in business for over 15 years, and in our current location for 6 years. It is a modern, 11,000 square foot building, the largest slot car facility in California, with nearly half of the square footage dedicated to the slot car portion of our business. The facility is fully climate controlled, providing a stable environment, regardless of the temperature or weather outside. With a total of three road courses and a drag strip, we have more full size 1/24 scale tracks than any other facility in California. 1 P age
OUR TRACKS THE PURPLE ANGEL The 165 foot Purple Angel is a deceptively fast banked track, that combines the speed of banked corners with the challenge of flat track racing. One of only two known to ever be built, and the only one known to still exist, this Chris Dadds built beauty is a unique experience in the slot car world. The track timing system is SRT, which is standard for all tracks in the NorCal SCRA series. The Angel is powered by a 90-amp power supply, along with a 50 Fared capacitor. There are 5 power taps, using 10-gauge wire. Each tap has the same length of wire, ensuring smooth, consistent power throughout the track. The track runs at a stable 13.4 volts. 2 P age

Originally designed by Fred Crash Hood, this track was built in 2011 by Cruizn Bob Scott, and lengthened by nearly 10 feet in 2014 when we purchased if from Fred and the Fresno slot car club. Designed for today s fast scale cars, this track is well suited for racing GT-12 and Eurosport cars on. It s a driver s flat track. Unique and challenging, this modern style track is similar to some European designs. The timing system is SRT. The Dragon is powered by a 90-amp power supply, along with a 50 Fared capacitor. There are 4 power taps, using 10-gauge wire. Each tap has the same length of wire, ensuring smooth, consistent power throughout the track. The track runs at a stable 13.4 volts. 3 P age

LOCATION We are located in the city of Rocklin, a suburb of Sacramento, the capital of California. We are centrally located, with many wonderful day trips less than two hours away. In addition to being just a short drive to San Francisco and Napa, we are less than two hours away from beautiful Lake Tahoe. The City of Rocklin has a long history, but much of the growth has been within the last 30 years. Rocklin was first recognized as a destination along the transcontinental railroad in 1864, about the same time granite mining began. Rocklin was incorporated in 1893 during the heyday of railroad and granite mining activity. By 1910, 22 quarries operated in Rocklin and, in 1912, nearly 2,000 train carloads of granite were sent out of town to become part of the state capitol building and buildings in San Francisco.
