2016 QUEENSLAND CIRCUIT RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS Round 1 MORGAN PARK -WARWICK Saturday and Sunday the 12 th and 13 th of March, 2016 General Supplementary Regulations. To be read in conjunction with the RACE MEETING Standing Regulations as contained in the 2016 CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. The meeting will be held on Saturday the 12 th and Sunday the 13 th of March 2016 at Morgan Park Raceway, Warwick, Queensland. The circuit is a 3.00km hotmix asphalt track. Track direction is clockwise. The meeting shall be promoted and organised by the MG Car Club of QLD Inc., GPO Box 1847, Brisbane Qld. 4001. 1 ADMINISTRATION The meeting shall be known as the 2016 Queensland Circuit Racing Championships Round 1 and shall be of State Championship status conducted under the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the F.I.A., the National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd. (CAMS), the Race Meeting Standing Regulations in the current CAMS Manual, the 2016 Queensland Circuit Racing State Championships Sporting Regulations, Australian and State Titles Conditions Race, Standing Regulations Superkarts, these Supplementary Regulations and any further regulations or instructions as may be issued. MGCCQ Organising Committee: Gary Goulding (0438 104 231), David Robinson (0417 731 455), Richard Mattea, Annette Truscott 1.2 ABANDONMENT, CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT OF EVENT The event organisers reserve the right to cancel, abandon or postpone the event in accordance with NCR 59 of the current CAMS Manual. 1.3 ELIGIBLE COMPETITORS Competitors must hold a current CAMS Level PC/PCC or higher licence for car events or a CAMS PSK or higher licence for Superkart events, and must be members of a CAMS affiliated club. All entries must be accompanied by the Entry Fee or they will not be accepted. Entries will be accepted for the following categories 1 st Category Racing Cars, including Formula Ford, Formula Ford 1600 & Formula Vee 2 nd Category Groups 2A, 2B, 2C, 2F, 2GT 3 rd Category Groups 3D (including Trans-Am), 3E, 3K, 3H, 3J including Queensland Geminis 5 th Category Historic Touring Cars Groups N, A, C & Group U (Historic Sports Sedans) 5 th Category Racing & Sports Cars Groups M, O, P, Q, R & Sports Cars Groups S & T 6 th Category Aussie Racing Cars & Sports Cars 6SR Superkarts (all classes) Vehicles with Category Management Agreements with CAMS and entering other than their primary series and/or Championship need written acceptance by CAMS and lodged with Official Entry Form before Entry can be accepted by MGCC of Queensland Inc. 2. ENTRIES 2.1 Entries will open on publication of these Supplementary Regulations and close on Saturday 4 th March 2016 (10pm). Entry fee will be $300.00 This includes GST and four pit passes. The maximum number of entries for this event may be limited to 250. Acceptance of entries will be in order of receipt and may be refused in accordance with NCR83. Cheques or Money Orders should be made out to MG Car Club of Qld INC and mailed to: Secretary of the Meeting MG CAR CLUB OF QUEENSLAND INC. GPO Box 1847 BRISBANE, Qld. 4001.

Faxed entries (original entry document must be posted to MGCCQ prior to event or entry will not be accepted). Entries received without payment are not classed as entries received. Additional Pit passes may be purchased at $15.00 each if the necessary amount is forwarded with the entry fee. This Pass will be valid for both days. A FEE OF $50.00 WILL BE CHARGED EACH TIME A CHEQUE HAS TO BE REPRESENTED. ONLY ENTRIES CANCELLED (in writing) PRIOR TO SATURDAY 4 Th MARCH WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR REFUND: LESS $40 ADMIN FEE 2.2 A minimum of 6 (six) bona fide entries must be received from any category to be allocated a race on this programme. Organisers reserve the right to vary the programme events subject to Standing Regulation 2.4, NCR 169 (xvi) and NCR 172 (xi). 2.3 A change of driver may be permitted subject to NCR 143. 3. DOCUMENT ADMINISTRATION & VEHICLE SCRUTINY. 3.1 ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE PRESENTED & CHECKED AT THE EVENT SECRETARIES OFFICE PRIOR TO VEHICLE SCRUTINY : Log Books & Certificate of description (if applicable), General Competition Licences/Passbooks and CAMS Club Membership Cards. 3.2 Scrutiny will take place at the circuit starting at times to be advised in Further Regulations. Scrutiny may be extended at the discretion of the Clerk of Course. All driving apparel, including helmets, must be in accordance with Schedule D of the current CAMS Manual and be presented with your car at scrutiny. Any competing vehicles that are road registered in Queensland are required to have an extension to their Compulsory Third Party Insurance Certificate which must be presented at Event Secretaries Office. Fuel must comply with Schedule G of the current CAMS Manual. Competitors Note-: AS OF 01/01/2015 ALL DRIVERS COMPETING IN CAMS STATE LEVEL & ABOVE RACING EVENTS MUST WEAR AN APPROVED FRONTAL HEAD RESTRAINT DURING ALL ACTIVITIES. (excludes some Historic 5 th category classes : refer 2016 CAMS manual for exemptions list). AS OF 01/01/2015 ALL VEHICLES COMPETING IN CAMS STATE LEVELS & ABOVE RACING EVENTS MUST BE FITTED WITH AN APPROVED FIVE (5) POINT OR SIX (6) POINT (TYPE A) SAFETY HARNESS. 4. PRACTICE & QUALIFYING 4.1 Private practice will be available from approx. 8.30am till approx. 4.30pm on Friday 11 th March 2016 at the circuit. Private practice is NOT included in entry fee payment. Private practice will be organised & arranged by WDSCC. Payment to practice must be made on the day to WDSCC at old scrutineering shed prior to commencing practice. 4.2 Each nominated driver must complete at least three (3) laps of practice/qualifying - Competitors attention is particularly drawn to details in Regulation 5.2 of the RACE MEETING Standing Regulations as contained in the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. Qualifying will be held on Saturday the 12 th of March 2016 at times to be advised in Further Supplementary Regulations. If Drivers are unable to qualify in an allotted session, they may be permitted to run in another session, but only at the discretion of the Clerk of Course. 5. RACING 5.2 Starting Procedure will apply: It is envisaged to that all classes will have a combination of Massed Grid Starts & Rolling Starts for races over the weekend. The following Starting Procedure will apply: Saturday -: Massed Grid Start for all classes (except Sports Sedans / Trans-Am & Superkarts) Sunday -: 1 st Race = Rolling Start (all categories) 2 nd Race = Massed Grid for all classes (except Sports Sedan / Trans-Am & Superkarts) Sports Sedans and Superkarts will have rolling starts in all championship races as per the Qld 2016 Circuit Racing State Championship Sporting Regulations. Cars will move directly from the marshalling area onto the track in single file and commence their warm-up procedure before taking up their allocated position for either a massed grid start or rolling start. Progressive grid starts may apply to some categories, and these shall be advised in Further Regulations. 5.3 Signalling - Competitors are reminded that with the exception of the designated Signalling Area, Pit Lane is a prohibited area during all competition. Children under the age of 16 (sixteen) are not allowed in the racing pits during practice or competition. 5.4 Trophies will be awarded on a combined point s basis over the week-end as follows: 1 st Trophy if 3 in category 1 st & 2 nd Trophy if 4 or 5 in category 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd Trophy if 6 or more in a category. Even though categories may be combined, each category will receive its own awards. The Organisers reserve the right to make additional awards for other events. 6. GENERAL 6.1 ALCOHOL, DRUGS AND OTHER SUBSTANCES Any holder of a CAMS Competition or Officials licence (or equivalent licence issued by another ASN) may be tested for the presence of drugs (or other banned substances) and subject to a penalty(ies) for a breach in accordance with the CAMS Anti-Doping Policy and/or the CAMS Illicit Drugs in Sport (Safety Testing) Policy as published on the CAMS website. Consumption of alcohol in the paddock, pits or any section of the competition venue/course under the control of the Officials is forbidden until all competition is concluded each day. Accordingly, any holder of a CAMS Competition or Officials licence (or equivalent licence issued by another ASN) may also be tested for the presence of alcohol by a CAMS Accredited Testing Official (CATO) in accordance with the CAMS Standard Operating Procedure for Breath Alcohol Testing. 6.2 It is a condition of entry that Competitors agree to pay all costs incurred by the Queensland Fire and Rescue Club for the use of firefighting equipment on their car.

6.3 All cars competing at Morgan Park Raceway must be silenced so that when monitored, the maximum noise level emission of any vehicle does not exceed 95 db(a) in the standard 30 metre run-by-test. Any car may not compete unless it meets this requirement. 6.4 Timing : Timing will be by the MyLaps electronic system, and transponders will be available at the circuit from Timekeeping at no charge. A refundable security deposit of $100 cash is to be lodged on issue of the transponder and this will be refunded when it is returned at the end of the meeting. If the transponder is returned damaged, the $100 deposit will be forfeited to cover costs of repair. 7 Garages are available for hire for the weekend. Garages are organised & arranged by WDSCC. Payment must be made on arrival to WDSCC at old scrutineering shed. Further details can be found in the CAMS Insurance Handbook, available at www.cams.com.au. 10 Protests Protests must be lodged in accordance with Part XII of the current CAMS Manual.
