Now 1 st round of workstreams have concluded: Helicopter Operations Diving Operations Heli Ops: G9 WG members nominated Q3 2014 (Workstream Leader Enrico Jakobi, Vattenfall) FG members provided in house literature on use of helicopters Q2 2014 to be reviewed Scope of work to be confirmed and specification for work/ ITT to be prepared Q4 2014 Work already underway in some organisations e.g. RUK, TCE alignment needed to ensure no duplication of efforts Diving Ops: G9 WG members nominated Q3 2014 FG members currently reviewing adequacy of: ADC Conducting Diving Operations in Connection with Renewable Energy Projects EDTC Guidance for diving on renewable energy projects IMCA D014 International Code of Practice for Offshore Diving OGP Report No. 411 Diving Recommended Practice Potential amendment of scope to focus on audit and assessment on competence of diving contractors 2

A workshop will be held on each workstream in Q1 2015 as a kick off to identify the key issues in the respective operations Where existing guidelines are sufficient, G9 will not duplicate / replicate existing material Data Collection On behalf of the Crown Estate, G9 collecting R3 project HSE statistics, to compliment those already being collected through G9 Will allow fuller picture of UK sector HSE performance and more accurate benchmarking capability Data Collection Reports with analysis of all 2014 HSE data and statistics will be made available to industry at end Q1 2015. 3

Safety and the life span of projects Background: Initiated by the Crown Estate in 2012 Purpose was to explore and challenge methodologies used by industry were the safest and most appropriate to use Ran 3 workshops, covering: Diving Ops Lifting Ops Wind Turbine Design and Installation Safe Optimisation of Marine Operations Transfer of ownership to G9 of in 2014 Purpose: Explore the current industry use of a particular topic with the focus on safe by design Examine the current design controls relating to the topic, discuss where current design has potentially failed, and identify opportunities for improvement Outputs to be published on the G9 website to be used as a reference function by the industry 4
