WELCOME TO SIXFIELDS THE HOME OF NORTHAMPTON TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB, AS THE CLUB ENTERS A NEW ERA. After storming to the League 1 title in 2016, the club have adjusted to life in Sky Bet League 1, and optimism is high that the Cobblers will continue to make progress on and off the field. The statistics certainly show that Northampton Town Football Club is a club on the up. Attendances were up 18% in the 2016/17 season, while we also recorded seven league attendances of 7,000+, the most number of 7,000+ for nineteen years. The club also saw a big rise in the number of junior season ticket holders, with numbers up by 117%. Junior memberships increased by 132% with sales of junior shirts up by 58%. Northampton Town were beamed live around the world in September 2016 when, having beaten Premier League side West Brom in the previous round, the Cobblers took on the might of Jose Mourinho s Manchester United in the EFL Cup, a side containing the likes of Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford at a sold out Sixfields. Off the field, the progress is equally exciting. With record numbers enjoying hospitality in the Grosvenor Casino 1897 Suite, we were awarded the EFL Family Excellence Award in 2017 to recognise our work with families, while a host of new partners have come on board in recent times. Our new link up with 5USport means we have an ever growing profile in China, with more exciting developments planned.
