Dear friends, The Portuguese Federation of Modern Pentathlon, with the support of Caldas da Rainha Town Hall, has the pleasure to invite a delegation of your country to participate in the 2015 Youth B European Championships (Open Competition for non-european Nations), which will be held in the beautiful city of Caldas da Rainha between 23 rd 27 th July, according with the following programme (provisional): July 21 st July 22 nd July 23 rd July 24 th July 25 th July 26 th July 27 th Arrival of Delegations Free Day Arrival of Delegations Technical Meeting - 21h00 (Hotel Caldas Internacional) Day 1 - Individual Competition Swimming Event - Boys and Girls Pistol and Laser control - Boys and Girls Day 2 - Individual Competition Combined Event - Boys and Girls Prize-Giving Ceremony Sightseeing Day Open Promotion Laser Run Event All Categories Day 3 - Mixed Relay Competition Swimming Event - Boys and Girls Combined Event - Boys and Girls Prize-Giving Ceremony Closing Dinner and Party Departure of the Delegations Intention of early arrivals should be informed as soon as possible. Training and Logistic facilities can be arranged by LOC for Training Camps. RULES The competition will be carried out according with the UIPM competition rules. Final Results will be considered for: - Individual (Boys & Girls) and Mixed Relay YB European Championships; - Individual (Boys & Girls) and Mixed Relay YB Open Championships (including Non-European Nations) Swimming: 25m indoor swimming pool / 8 lanes Combined: Simpower Hit & Miss Laser Targets (compressed air will be available) - Grass and Tartan surface
ECONOMICAL CONDITIONS All delegations (including athletes, coaches and officials) will be charged: Single Room: 110 Euros Double/Triple Room: 90 Euros The Fee listed above is per person per day and includes the following: Full board accommodation; Transportation (local transport from/to the event and shuttle from/to Lisbon International Airport; Entries to the competition venues; Sightseeing Day / Closing Dinner and Party Delegations are required to send by bank transfer a minimum of 30% of the total amount of your stay before 7th June 2015 with the Entry B Form. Otherwise the reservation will not be guaranteed. After receiving the Final Entry Form and deposit (non-refundable) we will send to each delegation an invoice with the total cost of stay for your team. This has to be paid by bank transfer before 1 st July or by cash at the accreditation desk upon arrival. All payments are accepted in EUROS only other currencies will not be accepted. Nations wishing to arrange their own accommodation are required to notify the LOC. This must be informed in Entry Form A. NF wishing to arrange their own accommodation must pay an Accreditation Fee per participant (athlete, coach or official) 50 Euros per day, minimum 4 days. The Accreditation Fee must be paid by bank transfer with the Final Entry Form or by cash at the accreditation desk upon arrival. Packed lunches will be provided for the competition days and there will be transportation between the Hotel and competition venues. Whoever chooses not to pay the accreditation fee will not be allowed to enter the transport bus to the venue or from/to the airport and between the hotel and venues. Entry Forms will not be accepted if any athlete is missing his/her License Number. Please contact immediately UIPM Headquarters if your athlete is missing his/her License. TARGETS Simpower Hit & Miss Laser Targets will be used for the Combined Event, therefore all athletes are required to bring their own laser pistols, with the most recent upgrade provided by the equipment manufacturer. LOC cannot be held responsible for Laser Containers/Pistols that do not comply with the most recent UIPM Laser Code. TRANSPORTATION PLAN Transportation from Lisbon International Airport to the Official Hotel and the return journey will be provided by the LOC. Transportation between the competition venues will be provided by LOC. VISAS Some nations in the world may require a Visa permit to visit Portugal. According to this you are requested to inform the LOC with your delegation s names, role and passport information and send it to us by email. Therefore the LOC cannot accept responsibility for arranging visas but can provide specific letters of invitation with the requested information.
INSURANCE All members of the attending Delegations must insure themselves in case of illness. The LOC will not accept any responsibility, for loss, injury or illness of any delegation member. AIR PISTOLS Air pistols are legal in Portugal. Please fill the pistol serial number fields in the provided Entry Form. GENERAL INFORMATION All athletes are kindly requested to wear their official national uniform at the competition. Please also bring a CD of your national anthem and a national flag.
