A MESSAGE FROM EMMA AND PAUL The 2015 season is expected to be a big one for Chelsea Ladies FC, as we look for success in four competitions. Hopefully, we can go one better in the 2015 Women s Super League, after coming so close last season and we also will look to progress in both the FA Women s Cup and the Continental Tyres League Cup, before in October looking forward to our UEFA Champions League campaign. This matchday information booklet has been put together for all our fans that will support us during the season at Staines Town. We look forward to seeing supporters both new and old at Wheatsheaf Park and want to make it as easy as possible for you. The booklet makes you aware of everything that happens in relation to ladies matchdays, including where to buy tickets, what food is available, travel details and much, much more. The players will be doing their best to make the day enjoyable by trying to get the very best results on the pitch and hopefully the information in this booklet will help with providing the very best experience off it. Emma Hayes Manager Paul Green Assistant Manager 3

GETTING TO STAINES TOWN The ladies team play their home games at Staines Town home ground, Wheatsheaf Park. Using the M25 Motorway 1. Leave at Junction 13. If you are coming from the North (anti-clockwise), bear left onto the A30 Staines By-Pass. If you re coming from the South (clockwise), you will need to go round the roundabout and back under the M25 to join the By-Pass. 2. Follow the A30 Staines By-Pass as far as the Billet Bridge roundabout (the notorious Crooked Billet roundabout). This should be treated like a roundabout (i.e. avoid the route across the middle), and take the last exit, A308, London Road towards the Town Centre. Avoiding Town Centre 3a. Turn left at the second set of traffic lights, by the old Police Station, into Kingston Road. Follow this road past the zebra crossing near the railway station, over the railway bridge, and straight across the first mini-roundabout. 4a. At the second mini-roundabout, turn right into Worple Road, which you follow up to its meeting with the Laleham Road. 5a. At the Anglers Rest public house, turn right into Laleham Road, B376. 6a. Wheatsheaf Lane is on the left by a traffic island. Via Town Centre 3b. At the third set of traffic lights, immediately under the iron railway bridge, turn left into South Street. 4b. Follow South Street past the central bus station, until it meets Thames Street and Laleham Road at the Thames Lodge / Packhorse Hotel. 5b. Turn left here, into Laleham Road, B376, going under the railway, and follow this road for ¾ mile (1 kilometre). 6b. Wheatsheaf Lane is on the right, by the traffic island 7. Staines Town Football Club is less than 100 metres/yards on the left, and there is a reasonable sized car park. Please park on the left half of the car park. Approaching from Sunbury-on-Thames by the A308 The A308 takes you past Fordbridge Roundabout, Ashford, via the Staines By-Pass and onto the Crooked Billet junction. The first exit is the London Road - then follow 3a or 3b as in (A) above. From Egham A30 or From Windsor / Slough A308 Either go to the M25 junction 13 and follow (A) 2 as above; or head towards the town via The Glanty, the Causeway, over Staines Bridge, Clarence Street. Turn right into Thames Street, which becomes Laleham Road at the railway bridge (where South Street joins from the left). Follow 5b above. 4

CHELSEA LADIES HISTORY Supporters wishing to have a female section to the club founded Chelsea Ladies Football Club in 1992. In June 2004, Chelsea Ladies voted to be taken over and funded by Chelsea FC s Football in the Community department. The club then won promotion as champions from the Southern Division in 2004 05 to the Premier League National Division and have participated at the top level ever since. In 2011, the club was one of eight founding teams in the FA Women s Super League. Matt Beard, the manager, led the club to the FA Women s Cup final for the first time in 2012, but Chelsea were eventually beaten by Birmingham City on a penalty shootout after twice taking the lead in a 2 2 draw. In July 2012, Matt Beard resigned as manager after three years in the post, to be replaced by Emma Hayes. The 2014 season was successful for Chelsea, as they finished 2nd in the FA Women s Super League on goal difference to Liverpool, after eight wins, two draws and four losses. A final day win would have clinched them the league title, but they lost 2-1 away to Manchester City. Their second place finish meant that they qualified for the UEFA Women s Champions League for the first time in the club s history. They also reached the semi finals of both the FA and Continental Cups, where they lost to both eventual winners, Arsenal and Manchester City respectively. 12
