Nonaccredited and MV Accredited sheep must travel to and from the Show in separate transport unless they are separated by solid partitions in the vehicle and the vehicle has separate unloading ramps/doors. If any MV Accredited sheep come into close contact with non-accredited sheep, they will lose their status and on return to their own or other Scheme premises, assume the status of the contact sheep. Generally this will require isolation and testing until the status is regained. Separate rings will be provided for MV Accredited and non-accredited sheep. Provided that these requirements are followed MV Accredited sheep will not lose their status and will not require post movement testing on return. MV Accredited sheep being presented at shows must be accompanied by a valid SAC MV Certificate (please note expiry date) stating number and type of sheep. These Certificates are available from the SAC in Inverness and must be presented to either the official Veterinary Surgeon or the Chief Steward, Mrs Lizzie Bentley, or her nominee before the sheep are allowed into the accommodation provided for MV Accredited Sheep. N.B. MV Accredited Stock must be accompanied by a valid SAC Certificate (of status) which must be given to the Chief Steward or Mrs A Welham, and the Secretary will then return them to The Sheep Health Scheme. Will all Sheep Exhibitors PLEASE STATE on their Entry Form if their sheep are MV Accredited. Short tail docking of sheep Exhibitors are reminded that sufficient tail must be retained to cover the vulva of female sheep and the anus of male sheep. Defra Scrapie Monitoring Scheme Exhibitors attending the Show must either: i) Produce a registration certificate proving that they are Scrapie monitored Or ii) Produce a declaration that the sheep/goats are : a) Non-Pregnant and b) Have not lambed/kidded within 30 days prior to the Show Please note that all Sheep Champion Exhibitors must be available for Presentation of Trophies in the Main Ring. SHEEP EXHIBITORS POINTS CUP The late H Wertheimer Esq Perpetual Challenge Cup This cup is awarded to the exhibitor who gains the most points in classes in the Sheep Sections on the basis of 4 points for a 1st prize, 3 points for a 2nd prize, 2 points for a 3rd prize and 1 point for a 4th prize, where such prizes are awarded. No points for 5th place. In the event of any classes with only ONE EXHIBITOR, points will be limited to four. In the event of a tie, the exhibitor winning the most 1st prizes will be awarded the Cup.
