We will offer two races (sprint & classic) in south-western surroundings of Germany s capital Berlin at the edge of the world famous historic town of Potsdam. TECHNICAL INFORMATION Competition Rules: All competitions will be held in accordance with IBOF rules. Additionally, rules of the German Shooting Association (Deutscher Schützenbund DSB) will apply to ensure the high safety standards and insurance issues on German shooting ranges are met. Categories: W/M16, W/M18, W/M20, W/M21, W/M35, W/M40, W/M45, W/M50, W/M55, W/M60. Athletes must be at least 16 years of age or have to show a special authorisation at registration desk (until year of birth 1997). In case of too few participants in some age categories, those may be merged with neighboured categories. Concerning competitors will be included in decision making. Disciplines: Classic Competition (location orienteering orienteering prone shooting run standing shooting) Sprint Competition (orienteering prone shooting orienteering standing shooting) Terrain / Maps: Middle European hilly terrain (60 100 m above sea level) consisting of pine and mixed forest, various runability. Lots of paths, technically mainly of medium complexity with some detailed areas. Map Ravensberge, initially drawn up in 2004, revised in 2012, scaled: sprint race 1 : 10.000, location orienteering 1 : 7.500, classic orienteering 1 : 15.000 / 10.000 with contour intervals: 5 m. Target system: Mechanical targets Diameter 45 mm (prone) / 115 mm (standing) Distance 50 m. Weapons and Ammunition: Only Calibre 5.6 mm (.22 lfb) is allowed. Each competitor has to bring his/her own weapon and ammunition. There must be legal authorisation to carry weapons. A weapon control is conducted prior to each competition. A limited number of weapons (single shot) will be offered for lending. Paticipants, willingly to borrow those rifles are asked to contact the organisers before registration deadline. Ammunition may be bought at site (please indicate at registration).
Punching system: SportIdent (SI card) will be used. Please state your SI card number upon registration. It is possible to rent SI cards for an extra charge (should be specified at registration). ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Accomodation: There s plenty of lodging possibilities of all styles in the region. No explicit recommendations are given by the organiser. Usually, more central sites are more expensive. Catering / Banquet: Some Catering for lunch (noodles, tomato sauce, mineral water or coffee) will be offered at CC. Vouchers should be booked in advance (see registration form). A banquet is arranged for Saturday right after the prize giving ceremony. Please indicate your attendance upon registration. Prizes: Each competitor will receive a certificate, the first three in each category prizes and medals. Insurance: All competitors participate at their own risk. Necessary insurances are within the responsibility of athletes or clubs. Weapons storage: It is possible to keep weapons overnight safely in the shooting range s storage.
