All captains are required to send a photocopy of the original order of medicine, a photocopy of the passport photo page and one photograph of each of their players to the organising committee. The host is responsible for checking each player s documentation and identity card (ID card) upon team registration. 3. Each team may register a maximum of 25 players. Each team has to send a team sheet before the championship to the organising committee of the hosting country including identification photo, name, age, shirt number and specialization of each doctor. The teams must be submitted to the tournament at least 2 months before the tournament date. Individual changes are permissible up to the Friday before the tournament. 4. It is in the spirit of the tournament to have Nations represented by players from that country. Players are expected to be citizens or be working and living in that country. Players may only represent 1 country in the championship. Any player wishing to change must apply to the board at least 2 months before the tournament date. 5. Since their introduction during the World Medical Football Championship in Mainz, 2006, and in accordance with all teams, every participating team has to stand to the rule that non-medical players are not accepted. Only one non-medical player per team who already took part before Mainz 2006 will be accepted. He must be over 35 years of age at the time of the tournament and has to wear a distinguishing armband whilst on the field of play. Clarification: The tournament is only open to players holding a human medical doctors degree. There are only 2 exceptions: (1) Teams with one non-medical player who registered and played in this tournament before 2006 (Mainz, Germany) (2) Teams who have Dentists who registered and played in this tournament before 2013 (Budapest, Hungary) 6. There must be at least (apart from the goalkeeper) 2 players over the age of 35 and 2 players over the age of 40 in each team on the field of play throughout the duration of the match. To display their status, these 4 players should wear a distinguishing arm band whilst on the field of play. Should a team not to comply with this rule, one goal will be awarded against the team for each player over the age of 35 or 40 who is not playing. Once this goal is awarded, the team must correct the error. If any player (playing on the field) has forgotten to wear the correct arm band, he will be punished by a yellow card for not wearing the arm band. A team may choose to play with less than 10 outfield players to avoid receiving a penalty. 1

7. The age of a player is taken from the exact date of birth, and they qualify for an age group only on or after that date. 8. The minimum age for players in the tournament is 25 years. 9. The registration fee is for a team of 25 players to compete in the Ferran Morrel trophy and attend the world medical conference. Players registered in the Ferran Morrel tournament, if over 45yrs may also participate in the Masters tournament. Players may not participate in the Ferran Morrel Trophy if they are only registered in the Masters Team. 10. At the end of the match the captains have the right to select 2 players from the opposing team to answer a written questionnaire based on fundamental medical topics. If there are any doubts as regarding the medical degree of a player, he will be asked to answer further questions by the organising committee. If any player refuses to undertake the exam his team will automatically forfeit the match, resulting in a 3-0 win awarded to the opposition. The Organising Committee may determine the permanent exclusion of any team during the championship if it is proved that there is a non-medical player on the field of play at any time. 11. If it is necessary to allow certain exceptions to these rules, changes must be agreed by the tournament Board. 12. Changes or updates to these rules must be communicated at least one month prior to the start of the World Medical Football Championships. After that, a change to existing rules can only be made by a unanimous decision of the Board. 13. Results and Tournament standings will be made available daily by the organising committee of the hosting country. 14. The Competition: a. The World Medical Football Championships shall begin with a league among the teams composing one group. The number of groups will depend on the total number of teams enrolled. The players must be dressed in their team strip 30 minutes before the match begins. All teams should have an alternative coloured team strip to avoid a clash of colours. In this case, the visiting team (listed second in the draw) will change team strip. d. The replaced player must have left the field before the substitute player may enter. Substitutions can only be made within 5 m of the halfway line, at the side of the team managers.
