TRACK: Length 389m, 11.4 m on straights, 14.4m in corners Surface- Crusher dust /Clay The promotion is aware that the track surface is crucial to a good race meeting and will be doing all it can to provide that surface. DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY : The Eastland Group Speedway has a strict drug and alcohol policy, a copy of which can be found on our website www.gisbornespeedway.co.nz. By entering this event you accept that you may be subjected to testing for either drugs or alcohol as per our policy. The Eastland Group Speedway reserves the right to test the first three place getters of the NZ Stockcar Teams Championship. AWARD CEREMONY: Trophies and Sashes for 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd will be presented on the track after the final results are confirmed, plus 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd for the Consolation Championship. If there is insufficient time the presentation will be made in the Club Rooms immediately after the end of the meeting. AFTER MATCH FUNCTION: The Gisborne Speedway Clubrooms will be available for socializing after the event. The bar opens after the racing has finished and closes at 3am the following morning. RAINOUT: In the event of a rainout the meeting will be run Sunday the 1 st of March at 1pm, then to be advised. ACCOMODATION: Gisborne Speedway Club - Limited numbers: Overnight camping at the Speedway complex is permitted in the Car park Area. A cost is $10 per Person per night, plus normal entry fee to the meeting. Camper Vans must hold a self containment certificate Tenting is not permitted in the Car park Area ADMISSION TO VENUE - All teams will receive 13 gate passes per night. One for each driver and one crew in the team, plus one for the Team Management. Team Managers need to pick these passes up from the Eastland Group Speedway at 10am, Friday the 26th. We also have an Underage Contract that needs to be signed for any accompanying children under the age of 12 that will be in the pits during the meeting. Gisborne Speedway Club Inc Contract for Underage Child to be in the Pits during Racing ( under 12yrs) This contract is between Gisborne Speedway Club Inc and ( Parent /Guardian) The Club has given permission for to be with in the pits during racing for the 2015/2016 season. Provided the following is adhered to. 1) The child remains with his/her parent/ guardian at all times. 2) The child is the sole responsibility of the parent/ guardian at all times he/she is in the Pits during a Race Meeting. 3) The child must have enclosed footwear and a Hi Viz Jacket at all times. 4) This Contract is for the above child only and no extra children. 5) The child will also need a wrist band and ( parent /guardian) will need to keep a copy of the original signed contract with them at all meetings to be able to show Security proof of entitlement to be in the Pits. Failure to adhere to the provisions of this contract may result in this Contract being revoked immediately and the child being unable to be in the Pits during Racing. New Zealand Stockcar Teams Championship 26 th & 27 th February 2016 Confirmation of entry required by 20 th December 2015 Eastland Group Speedway 1. The event will be run according to the Speedway New Zealand Rule Book 2. All drivers must hold a current SNZ Inc licence and all vehicles must comply with the current Speedway New Zealand Rule Book and supplementary regulations. 3. All competitors must have a Competitor Clearance from their home track. A clearance for each competitor in the team must accompany the entry. 4. Electronic Lapscoring will be used. Lapscoring will be the way of the Dorian Data Timing/ Scoring system. Vehicles without a transmitter will not be permitted to race. The Gisborne Speedway Club does not provide Transmitters 5. The closing date will be strictly adhered to. 6. The Gisborne Speedway Club reserves the right to alter the format and closing date after consultation with officials if deemed necessary. You will be notified of any changes 7. Sponsors transfers may be affixed to each competitor s vehicle. 8. Noise level of 95dba will be enforced. Smoking will not be permitted in Pit area at all times. 9. In the event that you have forwarded an entry form and you discover that you cannot attend, you must notify the promotion of your inability to honour this contract. 10. In the event of a rainout, the Promoter reserves the right to hold the event on the next most opportune day and time. 11. Alcoholic Beverages can only be consumed in the Clubrooms and must not be consumed in the Pits at any time before, during and after the meeting. 12. For Promotional use, please supply a photo of your Team Cars, preferably with the Team bodies on. 13. Only one Team is permitted from each track.

The fee for Team Appearance and First Night Elimination races will be : Hawkes Bay, Rotorua, Tauranga Teams $2000.00 All other North Island Teams $2500.00 South Island Teams $2900.00 The team will consist of 6 Stockcars plus at least one Team Manager. 26 th February 2016 NZ Stockcar Teams Champs 2016 Time Line- Public Scrutineering: 12.00 pm until 3.30pm at Eastland Group Speedway 357 Awapuni Road Pit Gates Open: 10.30am Main Gate Opens: 3.30pm Grand Parade: 6pm 27 th February 2016 Pit Gates Open: 1pm Main Gate Opens: 3pm Scrutineering: 1pm to 5pm at the Track Grand Parade: 5.45pm for top 8 qualifiers Meeting Starts: 6.45pm- Vintage Stockcars, 7pm- Stockcar Teams Prizegiving: On the infield at the conclusion of the final race. This time line is subject to change by the Promotion.
EVENT FORMAT Scrutineering: Friday 26 th of February 2016. Scrutineering will take place at the Eastland Group Speedway, (See Below ) from 12.00pm until 3.30pm. Once your Team s Cars have been checked they will be parked on the infield. The Pit Gates will open at 1pm. All gates will be locked until this time other than for campers. All cars are to be in the pits by 3pm. Scrutineering: Saturday 27 th of February 2016 (Finals Night) will be strictly from 1pm to 4.30pm at the track. Driver s Briefing: Will be in the Clubrooms at the Track at 5pm on both nights, only Drivers and Team Managers may attend. Grand Parade: The Grand Parade will be at 5.45pm on both nights. SNZ Rule: Whilst it is appreciated that many people want to take part in the grand parade safety MUST come first. A maximum of 3 people in or on the vehicle. The Parade will be at walking pace to allow for banners mascots etc. DRAW : Should two teams be equal on points a 4 lap runoff, of two cars from each team, will determine the winner. POINTS: 1 st 100, 2 nd 40, 3 rd 25, 4 th 20, 5 th 10. TEAMS: Each Team shall consist of a maximum of 6 Stockcars. Teams will enter 5 cars plus one spare stockcar and driver. Each Teams Race will be raced with a maximum of 5 Cars. The 1 Reserve Stockcar can take part in the warm-up laps but not line up on the starting grid. Once gridded up cars cannot be replaced. There will be a limited amount of time to grid up. Night one will be on points with the top eight teams progressing to the second night. Night two will be first across the line Knock Out Draw Format.
RACE FORMAT Friday 26 th February (Qualifying) The final format for Qualifying will be decided when an exact number of Teams entering has been determined. The top four finalists from the 2015 event will be seeded. Each qualifying race will be 10 Laps. Each Team will race twice. The top 8 Qualifying Teams will go through to the Finals Night. Qualifying will be determined by a points system. For those teams who do not qualify there will be an Individual Championship as below for the second night. Saturday 27 th February (Finals Night). Top 8 Teams from Night One Quarter Final Semi Final Final 5 th & 6 th - Highest two qualifying Quarter Final losers from Night one 7 th & 8 th - Lowest two qualifying Quarter Final losers from Night one I.e. Losers from Quarter Finals are 8, 3, 5 and 7. 3 and 5 would race for 5 th and 6 th and 7 and 8 would race for 7 th and 8 th. Individual Non Qualifiers Championship 27 h February 2016 Teams who do not qualify in the top 8 groups will be entitled to race in an Individual title on the second night. The number of cars available for this Championship will determine the format. 30 or under and it will be a 3 Race Championship format, or over 30 our 3/4ths format where each competitor races 3 out of 4 races.
