Dear Competitor, Barnsley Road Club welcomes you to its annual 10 mile open time trial on the 010/2 here at Ranby. This year we ve really worked hard to bring you a great prize fund, a well organised race, and most of all a fantastic event for you to enjoy. We have yet again attracted a great field from every area of the UK, on this fast course, and we hope you ride safety and strongly. Important Safety Notice In the valued interest of YOUR own safety Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an international accepted safety standard In accordance with Regulation 15, ALL Junior competitors MUST wear protective hard shell helmets It is recommended that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a position visible to following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use No warming up on the course No U-Turns on the course whatsoever

Course Guide Start at the top end of the Ranby Northbound sliproad on the site of a disused petrol station, proceed north on the A1 to exit via slip-road to Blyth Nornay junction (5.2 miles). Take 3rd exit over A1 from 1st traffic island to second traffic island, exit via 3rd exit onto A1 Southbound (Take care fast traffic from right). Proceed South on A1 to finish at Ranby lay-by just before Ranby Village Hall, (10 miles). PLEASE DO NOT STOP AT LAY-BY, CARRY ON TO SLIP RD. CAUTION: Absolutely no warming up on A1 Please! Please no U turns on approach slip road to A1, only enter slip road to start your race.
