On behalf of the Spanish Boxing Federation, in association with the Murcia Boxing Federation and Sam Storey Boxing Club, we have the pleasure of inviting clubs from Europe to take part in PINATAR YOUTH AND JUNIOR BOXING TOURNAMENT The event will be held from September 4 to 9 october in the city of San Pedro del Pinatar (Murcia), Spain. Our main objective is to promote the sport of boxing throughout Spain, in particular the region of Murcia, together with encouraging a healthier lifestyle. Another objective of ours is to improve and develop the skills of younger boxers. Above all, our intention focuses particularly on the importance of our relationships with other boxers, and boxing clubs at an international level. ELIGIBILITY OF BOXER AND AGE CLASSIFICATION Age Classification: YOUTH AND JUNIOR (MALE) Boxers (Men) between the ages of 15 and 16 will be eligible to compete (born between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2001) for Junior boxers. Boxers (Men) between the ages of 17 and 18 will be eligible to compete (born between January 1, 1998 and December 31, 1999) for Youth boxers. Weight Classification: Junior Men 11 Weight Categories: 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg. Youth Men 10 Weight Categories: 49kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 64kg, 69kg, 75kg, 81kg, 91kg, +91kg. 5. COMPOSITION OF OFFICIAL DELEGATION: It is not necessary to bring the entire team. Each club can participate in the men's tournament or women either, or both tournaments. Each Club Delegation must have a minimum of 1 coach. 6. NUMBER OF ROUNDS: Youth Men: Three (3) rounds of three (3) minutes, one (1) minute rest between rounds Junior Men: Three (3) rounds of two (2) minutes, one (1) minute rest between rounds 7. SCORING SYSTEM AIBA Scoring System - 10 Point Must-Scoring System will be used. 8. REFEREES AND JUDGES R&J are sent by National Federations. For the fair play and successful competition, it is mandatory to NFs to bring their AIBA R&J 1, 2 or 3 Stars.
9. REQUIREMENTS a) All Boxers must bring along with them: Record book with annual medicals duly completed and updated Current and valid Passport b)boxer s Uniform: Each boxer must bring two sets of uniform. The colors of these two sets of uniform must be in accordance with AIBA Technical and Competition Rules. All National Federations are kindly requested to bring two National Flags (one big and one small size) and National Anthems. (CD or MP3). 11. TRANSPORTATION All the delegates will be welcomed at International Airport Alicante or San Javier (Murcia) by the staff of the Organizing Committee to be transported to the Hotel. The Organizing Committee will provide local transportation to all participants between the airport and the hotel and the competition venue free of charge. Each Club will organize and pay for the travel arrangements for their athletes and officials from their country to and from International Airport Alicante to their country.
12. ACCOMMODATION There is one price for the whole package to include hotel accommodation, all meals on a full board basis plus tournament entry fees. Transport between airport and hotel, hotel and venue as detailed above is also included. For double o triple occupancy (2 or 3 persons per room - twin beds) EUR 50 per person, per day, including 3 meals For single occupancy (1 person per room) EUR 65 per person, per day, including 3 meals Any teams arriving before 04 October and leaving after 9 October must arrange their own transport and accommodation. INSURANCE All participants are requested to get their own travel and medical insurance. 14. VISA Those countries that need entry visas for Spain must send us: 1. list with the names of participants, 2. birth dates 3. passport numbers 4. copies of passport Not later than 4 September 2016 and contact Embassy of Spain in their countries in advance or the nearest Consulate of Spain in neighboring countries. The organizing committee will provide all the necessary facilities for all the participating countries to enter into Spain. To ensure and speed up the visa application process, please remind to fill in the final Entry form carefully and send it to the organizing committee in due time. Based on this form the organizing committee will issue a formal visa support letter to facilitate the visa procedures.
