If you decide that Silver Gate is the yacht club for you, please complete all the forms and return them to the front office, along with the required fees. Your application will then be given to the Membership Committee for processing. SGYC prides itself on community involvement. For over 50 years we have hosted the annual Wheelchair Regatta, an event benefiting San Diegans with physical and mental challenges. We also host the America s Schooner Cup Regatta benefiting the Navy and Marine Corp Relief Society. Our sailing fleet is active in racing and cruising events; our power fleet participates in the Predicted Log races and our fishing fleet puts on tournaments and events for our fishing enthusiasts. We have a very active V32 Model Race Fleet that is great fun and races monthly at our docks. For families, our Junior Program offers year round activities, as well as the Junior Sailing program in the summer which is open to area youngsters. On those off days when you re not enjoying your boat, there s plenty to do at the clubhouse.
