During this period, Sloan Valve ompany will, at its option, repair or replace any part or parts which prove to be thus defective if returned to Sloan Valve ompany, at customer s cost, and this shall be the sole remedy available under this warranty. No claims will be allowed for labor, transportation or other incidental costs. NOTE: 1-7/ (1 mm) Diameter hole is required if the deck is greater than 1/ (1 mm) thick.
1 Install Faucet. Remove Nut, Faucet Retainer and Gasket. Do Not remove the O-ring from base of Faucet. Slide Gasket over Flex Hose(s) and secure with Faucet Retainer and Nut. DO NOT REMOVE GSKET FUET RETINER FUET FUET GSKET Install Faucet with O-ring into the center hole in deck or lavatory 1-/16" (0 mm) min. hole required. Note: If installing the Faucet on a three () hole sink, a Trim Plate should be installed at this time. ENTER HOLE IN DEK OR LVTORY FUET RETINER FLEX HOSE MODELS POWERED Y PLUG-IN TRNSFORMER ONLY DO NOT pull or crimp Power Line. Install Strainer and Flex Hose onto Supply Stop. Open Supply Stops. IMPORTNT: Flush dirt, debris, and sediment from Supply Line(s) before onnecting Flex Hoses. EF-100 Models: Plug Transformer into receptacle. ll Models: Remove label from Sensor. Install Strainer and Flex Hose onto Supply Stop. FLEX HOSE TRNSFORMER STRINER SENSOR LEL Transformer must be within of Faucet. Tighten the Flex Hose (with Strainer in place) securely to the Supply. Faucet will run for four () seconds and the range will automatically adjust to it s environment. Wait ten (10) seconds after water shuts off before using Faucet. If Faucet does not function, refer to the Troubleshooting section of this instruction manual. Manual Range djustment Note: use Manual Range djustment only when desired range cannot be obtained with uto Range djustment in Step 5. Push button two () times (double click). Push and hold button in as Faucet continuously cycles through the following five (5) range settings. Push again for five (5) seconds until LED flashes four () times, then release button and wait five (5) seconds. D One (1) flash = longest range Two () flashes = long range Three () flashes = medium range Four () flashes = short range Five (5) flashes = shortest range Release button at desired setting. Then water will flow for four () seconds signaling confirmation of setting. Wait an additional ten (10) seconds before using Faucet.
dditional Features -lick FETURE & SETTINGS The i.q.-lick feature is a button on the underside of the Faucet spout that allows the user to place the Faucet into the following function modes: ontinuous Run, Temporary Off, Permanent Off and uto Set Range djustment. ontinuous Run Water flows from 1-0 minutes constantly for easy filling of sink, pail or for hygienic handwashing. Default setting is two () minute run time. Temporary OFF Water flow is deactivated up to two () minutes for convenient cleaning of sink and faucet. Permanent OFF The faucet is totally deactivated for safety and energy saving reasons during long absence. uto Set Range djustment ll Faucets feature the uto Set function. The detection area is automatically adapted to the sink where the Faucet is installed and this occurs upon initial power up. Thus reflection is prevented and a maximum of user convenience provided. D Insert a new 6 Volt Type R5 Lithium attery. The red LED will flash for one (1) minute. Reinstall attery over. Reconnect electrical lead Loosen Screw with hex wrench. Remove Throat Plate. Disconnect electrical lead at connector if required. at connector if previously disconnected. Reinstall Throat Plate. If LED doesn't flash or if it just lights up, remove and then reinsert the attery. If water flows continuously after inserting the new attery and opening the Supply Stops, remove and then reinsert the attery. Remove attery over using a No. 1 Phillips head screwdriver. Remove old attery and dispose of properly. E Open Supply Stop(s).
Troubleshooting Guide 1. Problem: Faucet does not function. ause: dhesive packaging label affixed over sensor eye. Solution: Remove adhesive label from sensor eye. ause: "Permanent Off" activated. Solution: Press button on Faucet throat one time.. Problem: Faucet delivers water in an uncontrolled manner. ause: Faucet is defective.. Problem: Faucet does not deliver any water when Sensor is activated. Indicator: Solenoid valve produces an audible "LIK." ause: Water supply stop(s) closed. Solution: Open water supply stop(s). ause: Water supply stop strainer(s) clogged. Solution: lean water supply stop strainer(s). Indicator: Solenoid valve DOES NOT produce an audible "LIK." ause: attery low (EF-150 Models). Solution: Replace battery (refer to attery Replacement on Page ). ause: Power failure (EF-100 Models). Solution: heck power supply.. Problem: Faucet delivers only a slow flow or dribble when Sensor is activated. ause: Water supply stop(s) are partially closed. Solution: ompletely open water supply stop(s). ause: Water supply stop strainer(s) clogged. Solution: Remove, clean, and reinstall water supply stop strainer(s). Replace strainer(s) if required. ause: erator is clogged. Solution: Remove, clean, and reinstall erator. Replace erator if required. ause: Faucet is defective. 5. Problem: Faucet does not stop delivering water or continues to drip after user is no longer detected. ause: Faucet is defective. 6. Problem: LED indicator blinks when Faucet is in use. ause: attery low (EF-150 Models). Solution: Replace battery (refer to attery Replacement on Page ) 7. Problem: - lick doesn't function (-I models only) ause: utton is defective. 8. Problem: The water temperature is too hot or too cold on a Faucet connected to hot and cold supply lines. USE: Supply Stops are not adjusted properly. SOLUTION: djust Supply Stops. USE: For models with integral mixing valve - Mixing valve is set improperly for the water temperature desired.
