THE HOLIDAY INN BRIDGE QUIZ I - By Munir Ataullah Here is a chance for two people to win for themselves --- and a companion each ----, a sumptuous dinner for two, at one of the many award-winning restaurants in the Holiday Inn, Barsha. The competition is open to everyone, but one of the two prizes is reserved for UAE residents. All you have to do is answer the question (or questions) posed everyday in the bulletin under the above heading. Make sure you submit your answer, with your name, to the Bulletin Office, in writing, BEFORE the end of the final playing session the SAME day. This deadline is important because the answer will be carried in the Bulletin the following day. The two lucky winners will be the ones who score the highest marks at the end of the competition. Ties will be broken by lottery. In all cases, the decision of the problem setter will be considered final. UAE residents should indicate that with their answers. So let me get you all off to flying start by posing some easy questions today. 1. Who was the first President of BFAME? (2 points) 2. What year was the first BFAME Championship held? (2points). 3. Which country won the Open event? (2 points) 4. You play 3NT as South, after the lead of H2 (4th best). You duck East s HK, and his HJ, but win the next Heart. Diamonds are 2/2. What is your plan?
