Aluminium sulphate 10043-01-3 10% 4. FIRST AID MEASURES Inhalation Ingestion Skin Eyes If inhaled, remove victim to fresh air. Apply CPR if victim is not breathing. Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult. Remove contaminated clothing and loosen remaining clothing. Allow patient to assume most comfortable position and keep warm. Seek immediate medical attention. Immediately rinse mouth with water. If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Give a glass of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek immediate medical attention. If skin contact occurs, immediately remove contaminated clothing and wash skin with running water and soap for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if swelling, redness, blistering or irritation occurs. If eye contact occurs, hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek immediate medical attention. 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Suitable Extinguishing Media Hazardous Combustion Products Firefighting Equipment Unusual Fire or Explosion Hazards Hazchem Code For major fires call the Fire Brigade. Ensure that an escape path is available from any fire. Water spray (flooding quantities). Toxic chlorine gas. Wear Safe Work Australia approved self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing. Non combustible, but contact with combustible material may cause fire. Containers may explode when heated. 2Z 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE Spills Wear full protective equipment to prevent skin and eye contamination and inhalation of vapours. Avoid contact with other materials. Do not return spilled product to original container. Do not add water to the product. To neutralise, add sodium sulphite (2.4kg / kg product). If no active chlorine remains, add soda ash (1.1 kg / kg product) to achieve complete neutaralisation. Manually collect product and seal in containers for disposal. Do not allow product to enter drains or waterways.where a spill has occurred in a confined space or in an inadequately ventilated enclosure and the material is damp and evolving chlorine, the rate of chlorine evolution can be reduced by covering the thinly spread solid with soda ash. 13/06/2012 2/6

Ensure good industrial hygiene practice. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated place and out of direct sunlight. Keep containers sealed and dry material reacts with water. Store away from incompatible materials. Keep containers closed when not in use. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION Exposure Standards (Safe Work Australia) Engineering Controls Respiratory Protection Eye Protection Skin Protection Hygienic Practices Chlorine: TWA: 1 ppm / 3 mg/m 3 (Peak limitation) STEL: - ppm / - mg/m 3 Use local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to maintain airborne levels below recommended exposure limits. Controls should be sufficient so that applicable occupational exposure limits are not exceeded. If engineering controls do not maintain airborne concentrations below recommended exposure limits, use a Safe Work Australia approved full face supplied air respirator. See Australian Standards AS/NZS 1715 and 1716 for more information. Safety glasses with side shields (or goggles) and a face shield. See Australian Standards AS 1336 and AS/NZS 1337 for more information. Protective gloves and protective clothing, such as overalls.
