The Ohio State University Dance Team 2016-2017 Tryout Information Packet To Prospective Member: Thank you for your interest in becoming a dancer in The Ohio State University Spirit Program! The program consists of The Ohio State University Cheerleaders, Dance Team, and Brutus Buckeye. Serving as a fundamental part of Ohio State, the teams promote Buckeye Spirit at a multitude of athletic events including Football, Men s and Women s Basketball, Wrestling, Volleyball, Ice Hockey, etc. as well as other events throughout the school and community. We are looking for confident, talented, and passionate dancers to be a part of the 2016-2017 Ohio State University Dance Team. Members of the team are responsible for representing The Ohio State University in the classroom, on the court, and on stage at the national level. Being a member of the dance team comes with many exciting opportunities, but it is also a major commitment. Please be sure to thoroughly review all of the materials and the time commitment required. If you foresee any conflicts, these must be discussed prior to the on campus tryout date. For the 2016-2017 Season, we have added a video component to our audition process. All interested dancers are required to submit a tryout qualification video to receive an invitation to the on campus tryout date. More information on this process is listed in this packet. We are excited to get to know all of you and watch you dance. Please do not hesitate to reach out via email with any questions you may have regarding the tryout or the team in general. Go Bucks!
