USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. The statement needs to be on veterinary letterhead that said horse has received regular and consistent vaccination against Equine Influenza and EHV 1 & 4 with most recent booster being within 180 days and not within 7 days. This will be in accordance with GR845. Please also follow these protocols: Not shown symptoms of or been treated for EHV-4/1 within the past 28 days. Not been at a facility under quarantine for EHV-4/1 or exposed to any horses showing symptoms of EHV-4/1 within the past 28 days Any horse on the show grounds with a fever of unknown origin or of suspicious origin must be reported to Show Management and to the Show Veterinarian. It is always better to err on the side of safety. Isolation stalls will either be available on the grounds or at a local veterinary practice if the need arises. Please take the time to review equine good hygiene practices. Please convey the importance of this to your equine caretakers for their daily routines. At Federation licensed competitions, horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by Competition Management. Documentation should consist of one of the following methods mentioned below. The frequency of vaccine administration should be per the vaccine manufacturers or veterinarian s recommendations. It is recommended that vaccines are administered by or under the direction of a veterinarian. 2. In the case of vaccines administered by a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide documentation from the veterinarian on documenting that the horse in question received the vaccinations; name of the vaccines and date of vaccine administration. 3. In the case of vaccines administered by a person other than a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a receipt of the vaccine purchase which is signed by the owner, or agent with care, custody, and control of the horse; name, serial number and expiration date of the vaccine; and date of vaccine administration. 4. In the case of a horse that is unable to receive either of the vaccinations due to a history of adverse reactions, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a letter from the veterinarian on official letterhead stating that the horse in question cannot be vaccinated due to medical concerns and a log of temperatures taken twice daily for the seven days prior to entering the competition grounds. These horses must also have their temperature taken and logged twice daily while on the competition grounds. The log of temperatures should be provided to the Competition Management, steward, or technical delegate when requested. 5. STABLING: 254 permanent stalls with doors are available. Stall/tack fees are on individual fee pages for each show. Stalls are available at noon of day preceding Show and must be vacated by noon of day following the Show s close. Stalls are 10X12 and 12X12. No first bedding is provided. Straw bedding is not permitted. Stall assignments at discretion of management. HORSE RECORDING & I.D a. All horses competing in Federation non-breed restricted licensed competitions with hunter, hunter breeding, jumper and hunter seat equitation classes (except those activities enumerated in GR901.9, items 1-9) must be properly identified and must obtain a Registration Number from USHJA. A registration number for each horse must be entered on all entry forms for licensed competitions. Only one Registration Number will be issued per horse, and must remain with the horse throughout its career. Anyone knowingly applying for a duplicate Registration Number for an individual horse may be subject to disciplinary action. The Federation and/or USHJA as applicable must be notified of any change of ownership and/or competition name of the horse. Owners are requested to notify the Federation and/or USHJA as applicable of corrections to previously submitted information, e.g., names, addresses, breed registration, pedigree, or markings. b. Applications for Registration Numbers can be completed online at www.ushja.org or www.usef.org using the Horse Registration application form. The Horse application form is also available from the USHJA or Federation office, or it can be downloaded from the USHJA or Federation website or from competition management. Competition management is responsible for notifying exhibitors of this requirement in their prize list. Proper notification of the scratch must be made in the show office BEFORE the start of the class or classes being scratched. This must be accompanied by a certificate from the official horse show veterinarian. It is the exhibitor s responsibility to bring the yellow copy of the scratch form to the show ring, to finalize the scratch process. In either case above the entry fees will be refunded less a scratch fee of $25.00. Refunds of entry fees will not be given in the event a class or classes, or all or part of the competition is cancelled due to severe weather, an accident, an emergency or some other act of god. Refunds of stall fees, service fees, schooling, office fees, or paddock fees will not be given, however class fees will be refunded in the event of cancellation of all or part of the competition due to severe weather, an accident, an emergency or some other act of god. [Per GR832.1][GR912] Refunds under $50 will be credited to your next show bill. CHECK OUT: Any disputes found on your printed invoice, must be resolved within 24 hours. Please review your bills carefully. If disputes are not negotiated within this time period, the invoice will stand. If you do not close out your invoice(s) in the office a $50 fee will be accessed, unless you fill out an express check out form giving written consent for office to close out your invoice. Any open invoices left in office after the end of the show will be closed out with the method of payment holding the entry.

MEDICAL WASTES: Dispose of medical waste in labeled containers at wash racks. Please use aseptic techniques for safety. Competition Management shall place at least one sharps container per fifty occupied stalls for the disposal of needles and other disposable sharp instruments in convenient locations in barns housing show horses. It is the competition management's responsibility to replace such containers when full and dispose of them properly. Competition management may fine any individuals including trainers, owners, exhibitors, or their agents up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. Competition Management will place a notice of this in their prize list or on a specific handout given to trainers on check in at show office. (Containers can be found at every wash rack, please notify management if one needs to be attended.) [GR 1210.4] DISPUTES: In all classes Show Management will settle any dispute(s), conflict(s) or question(s) that may arise and this decision shall be final. SAFETY ISSUES: No campfires or barbecues are allowed. NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN OR NEAR ANY BARNS! Ample room must be left around the barns for emergency vehicles to pass. The under saddle/flat class of a division must be held In order to award a championship. JUMPER TIES: In Jumper classes offering money, horses tied for other than first shall remain tied and divide the prize money. [JP141] SCHOOLING: There will be a flat schooling fee accessed to all showing horses but the Grand Prix horses. Tuesday both hunter rings will be open from 8:30-4:00 and Wednesday Hunter 2 all day until 3:00pm. If time permits after showing as been completed and preparations for next day are complete we will then open up rings for schooling. Only flatting will be allowed in rings in the Morning. (NO JUMPING) JUMPER RING - Flatting only TUESDAYS until 2:30 in Jumper ring. Ring will be CLOSED all other days for flatting. All horses or ponies entering the property must have prior reservations for either a stall or a trailer in fee. All riders must be wearing a back number to school and show. All horses or ponies must be checked in with the show office.

ORDER OF GO: Show Management may assign an order of go which must be followed at any time during a competition. This will be posted at least ½ hour before the start of the class. Any conflict due to classes in more than one show ring running concurrently must be worked out with the paddock master of the hunter ring. Courtesy circle may be restricted. There will be a drawn and posted order of go for all classics. Scratches after an order of go is posted will receive no refund. If entered after order of go is established, the new entry will be placed at the top of the order. No exceptions!!! There may be no scratches after the order of go has been drawn or after first round has started. A dotted line may be used in the show rings at management s discretion. Management reserves the right to post a random drawn order of go for the first class of the day and have it posted an hour before the class. If an order of go is needed, management will inform the exhibitors by the P.A. system the night before. No ring will hold for any conflict for more than 3 minutes. Please see USEF Rule HU158. PET RESTRICTIONS: No dogs (pets) are allowed at the show rings at any time. [USEF GR1301.6] Pets must be controlled by leashes or kenneled at all times. A $25 fine may be charged to owners of pets not controlled in such manners. Additionally, owners of pets who interfere with the performance of a competitor will be charged the entry fee of the Class in question. NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED IN STALLS FOR FLEA CONTROL. A $25 CHARGE MAY BE ASSESSED TO PET OWNERS. VETERINARIAN: GR1211.4.g. At competitions where the official veterinarian is on call, the prize list must include the time period when the veterinarian will be available to conduct measurements. If the veterinarian is required to measure at any time other than as stated in the prize list, the owner is responsible for paying veterinarian fees. FOOD CONCESSION: Will be available on the show grounds during the horse show hours. HARD HAT/ PROPER ATTIRE: It is compulsory for all persons at Federation licensed hunter, jumper or hunter/jumper competitions when mounted anywhere on the competition grounds, to wear properly fastened protective headgear which meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. It must be properly fitted with harness secured. [USEF GR801] For all exhibitors competing in the hunter or hunter seat equitation section, if a rider s chin strap becomes unfastened, the rider may stop, re-fasten the chin strap and continue his/her round without penalty or elimination. A judge may, but is not required to stop a rider and ask them to refasten a chin strap which has become unfastened, again without penalty to the rider. [USEF GR801] RIBBONS AND AWARDS: Ribbons will be given second through eighth place for all hunter and hunt seat equitation classes at ring in-gate. Ribbons will be given second through sixth place for all jumper classes at ring in-gate. All first place and classic ribbons can be acquired at the show office. An award will be given to first place in all classes not offering prize money with at least three competitors in the class. Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons will be given in all sections with the exception of classes with the terms Warm-Up and Pleasure in their names; also exempt are Lead-line classes.
