TENNIS PROFESSIONALS Roger Mitten, Five Seasons National Tennis Director, Five Seasons Burr Ridge Tennis Director Roger is certified by the UPSTA (Pro 1), PTR (Professional), and the USTA (Sports Science). As an administrator, he has served as the Tennis Director of the Bannockburn Club, and the Junior Director and Head Tennis Pro of Mid-Town Tennis Club. Recently, he was the National Tennis Director of the Wellbridge Company. Tim Jessup, Head Tennis Professional Tim was a two time All-American at the University of Tennessee. He has won 4 National Junior Tournaments and has represented the United States in the Junior Davis Cup competitions. His impressive record includes wins over MalVai Washington, Todd Martin, and former Wimbledon Champion Goran Ivanisevic. Rich Snodgrass, Director of Adult Tennis Rich has been teaching the game of tennis for almost 15 years. Rich came to Five Seasons from Florida where he was Director of Tennis and looking to purchase a club. He has coached all skill levels from beginning to nationally ranked. In his free time, he enjoys his family, which includes his wife Patty, son Johnny and daughters Olivia and Eva. Ernesto Faisal Ernesto has over 20 years of experience both as a player and coach. While growing up in Argentina, he played in state, national, and international events. In 1994 Ernesto moved to the U.S. to play Division 1 college tennis at Southeastern Louisiana University. Since 1998 he has dedicated his time to coaching juniors in the Chicagoland area. Ernesto comes to us from the Glenbrook Racquet and the Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club where he has been Head Tennis Professional for the past 4 years. Kendra Becker, Assistant Head Tennis Professional Kendra has played tennis in college while working on getting her pilot s license at Western Michigan. She was a top player for Lyons Township H.S. and Western Michigan, and has coached tennis at area clubs for over four years. Kendra also spent several years teaching in Michigan and coaching a high school team. She played on the 9.0 Mixed Doubles Team that won the 2006 USTA Eastern National Championships. Rebecca Dinsick, Special Events Director & Junior QuickStart Director Becky has been playing the game of tennis since she was 3 years old and coaching since she was 17. Growing up she was a top ranked junior in the area and went on to win a full scholarship to Truman State University in Missouri. A USPTA certified teaching professional, she has worked at the River Run Country Club for seven years, as well as the Rush Copley Healthplex. Derek Baker Derek is certified by the USPTA, USTA Sport Science Program and as a USTA Umpire. He was the former Regional Tennis Coordinator for the Northwest Athletic Clubs in Minneapolis, MN before coming to Five Seasons. With over 8 years of industry experience, he has trained over 100 players to district, sectional and national rankings and was named 2005 USPTA Wisconsin Tennis Professional of the Year. Derek played his college tennis at Concordia University of Wisconsin. Troy Budgen Troy is certified by the USPTA. He was a three-time All-American at Pepperdine University and held an ATP World Ranking inside the top 350. He was the Tennis Director at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, California immediately before coming to Five Seasons. Troy has worked with many students who have achieved top ten national rankings in the 16 s and 18 s. Jim Bisbee Jim has been teaching this great game for almost 20 years. Originally from Michigan, Jim spent the last 2 years of high school at Nick Bolletieri Tennis Academy. While there, Jim played on a state championship tennis team. Jim played on a full scholarship at St. Leo College in Tampa Florida. Jim has been with Five Seasons since the opening, and has been with the USPTR since 1984. Grant Paisley Grant has been teaching the game of tennis for 10 years. He played his junior tennis at Wilkinson Couney Christian Academy in Baton Rouge, LA. He played two years of collegiate tennis and spent 5 years as the Varsity Girls Tennis Coach for Plainfield Central H.S. Before coming to Five Seasons, Grant was the USTA Tournament Director and USTA Junior Coach for Forum Fitness in Lockport. He has spent the past five years grooming and developing sectional and national level juniors here at Five Seasons. Gene Johnston Gene Johnston has been playing and coaching tennis for a number of years and has received both a USPTA Pro 1 rating and a Collegiate All-American Honorable Mention. Gene has also taught in the Chicago area for over 21 years and has been with Five Seasons since the opening. Furthermore, Gene was a featured speaker at USPTA conventions and high school coach clinics. He has coached 22 nationally recognized juniors along with numerous others who have gained college scholarships. Now, Gene teaches both adults and juniors at all levels. Jim Hwang, Director of Junior Tennis Jim has been teaching tennis for over 10 years. He has worked with people of all ages and levels, including juniors from beginning to nationally ranked. Prior to coming to Five Seasons, Jim worked in New York at Armonk Indoor Sports Complex and Armonk Tennis Club, where he was the Head Tennis Professional. He has also worked extensively with juniors as the Director of Junior Programs at Westchester Indoor Tennis Club in New York and as a Player Development Coach through the USTA in Northern California. Jim has played in national and satellite level tournaments. He is certified by the USPTA with a Pro 1 rating. Javier Llanes Javier has over 20 years experience as a player and coach. As a junior player in Argentina, he achieved a national top 10 ranking and played against players such as David Nalbandian (ATP #3), Gaston Gaudio (ATP #5), Juan Ignacio Chela (ATP #15) and Fernando Gonzales (ATP #5). In college, Javier played four years at Drury University. During his senior year, Javier was nationally ranked in the top 10 in singles among all Division II schools. As a touring professional, Javier played Futures tournaments in South America and Africa and earned a world ranking on the ATP tour. As a coach, Javier has taught internationally ranked juniors at Saddlebrook s prestigious Harry Hopman Tennis Academy in Wesley Chapel,Florida. More recently, Javier helped to develop junior players at the Herrmann Tennis Academy. Timmer Halligan Timmer is a USPTA certified professional who has guided hundreds of students to national rankings and college scholarships. At TCA, Timmer was a Regional General Manager. In 1996, Timmer won the USPTA s Junior Coach of the Year Award. He has been the personal coach to both the boy s and girl s winners of Illinois State High School Championships in 2007 and 2008. Dan Shoop Dan has been teaching tennis since 1981. Dan has been USPTA Certified since 1985, and works with top ranked juniors at local and National Levels. During the summer months, Dan has been the director of tennis at a local country club since 1996.

Get individualized attention on your strokes and shot selection, movement and footwork. Juniors will especially benefit from this forum, in addition to group classes to learn the proper form right from the start! Lessons are available at any hour the Club is open. Please note that there is a strictly enforced 24-hour cancellation policy for private lessons. Members will automatically be billed the full lesson price if 24 hour notice is not given. As a courtesy to your Pro, please understand that your Pro s time is scheduled by the hour and they need 24 hours notice to fill cancelled spots. Call and schedule your lesson today at 630-570-5200 and take your game up a notch. Demo Racquets Demo racquets are available for our members at no charge for IN HOUSE use only. Members will be billed the full amount of the racquet value should the racquet be returned damaged or for failure to return it within 24 hours. Racquets are available for adult check-out only. Parents may sign for their junior player. Thank you for your understanding and we hope this will offer you more options as well as maintain the quality of the products we have available to you. Tennis Court Reservations Membership number and type must be given when making all reservations. The name of each court participant must be given at the time the reservation is made. Indoor courts may be reserved up to seven days in advance.

Tennis lessons may be scheduled by contacting the Member Services Desk. All court and lesson fees must be paid or signed for prior to entering the courts. Free Walk-On Indoor Court Time for Senior Members The rules governing free walk-on indoor court time for senior members are the same as the rules governing free walk-on indoor court time for junior members, with only two exceptions: (1), senior members are those members who are 55 years old or older; (2), senior members have free walk-on indoor court time from 3:00 pm to close on Saturdays and Sundays. Free Walk-On Indoor Court Time for Junior Members Any junior member may walk-on to an open court at the top of the hour and play without charge. A few conditions regarding this policy: (1), if a junior member makes a court reservation, he or she will be charged the full amount for court time; please note that this policy applies only to junior members who walk-on to open court time at the top of the hour (i.e., 5:00 pm); (2), before walking onto the court, the junior member must check in with the Member Services Desk and receive a court assignment; (3), when a junior member follows the walk-on rules and walks onto an open court at the top of the hour, the court time is free for everyone playing on the court with the junior member. In other words, the member junior can play with a non-member junior, a non-member adult or another member and the court time will be free for everyone who is playing with the junior member; (4), if a non-member adult or a non-member junior plays with a junior member in a walk-on situation, the non-member must pay the $15 guest fee before they begin playing; (5), note that this walk-on privilege is extended to all junior members of the Club. Cancellations Court and lesson reservations must be cancelled 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged the appropriate fees. General Tennis Rules Food and drinks are not allowed on the courts. Water (in closed containers or in thermoses only) is allowed on the courts. The use of profanity, loud noises, racquet throwing and any form of misconduct is not permitted. Proper tennis apparel must be worn at all times on the courts. Customary men s and women s tennis attire without a collar is acceptable. Cut-offs, jeans, t-shirts, muscle shirts and swimsuits are unacceptable. Running or black/dark soled shoes are not permitted on the courts. No running shoes are allowed on the clay courts. Only smooth-soled shoes are allowed on indoor and outdoor courts. Members must cease playing immediately at the end of their allotted court time. Conversely, the next court occupants must wait in the lobby area (or, for outdoors, off the court area) until the proper time. Please note: Only Five Seasons professional staff are allowed to give tennis instruction. All Five Seasons Tennis Department rules and policies are applicable to all members, no exceptions.

ADULT TENNIS Adult Instructional Tennis The curriculum varies according to the skill level. Players are classified using the NTRP scale. Members who do not have a rating can call or email Rich Snodgrass, Director of Adult Tennis, to schedule a ½ hour free NTRP rating session. Rich can be reached at 630-570-5411 or at richatfiveseasons@gmail.com Session Dates 11 weeks/11 sessions: June 8-August 23 Note: No classes will be held on Saturday, July 4 th. 2.6-3.0 Drill A drill for the player who can play singles and doubles, but needs to improve their consistency, net play and basic tactics. 1 ½ hour clinic: $32 per weekly session (one class per week). 2 hour clinic: $42 per weekly session (one class per week). Monday 12:00-1:30 pm Friday 9:00-11:00 am Sunday 1:00-2:30 pm Men s 3.0 Drill Fun drills that work on targeting, advanced doubles tactics and stroke technique. 1 ½ hour clinic: $32 per weekly session (one class per week). Wednesday 7:30-9:00 pm Women s 3.1-3.5 Drill Fun drills which will enable the student to learn more about singles and doubles strategy and achieve a great workout. Emphasis will be focused on the development of a more powerful serve and a more aggressive volley. 1 ½ hour clinic: $32 per weekly session (one class per week). 2 hour clinic: $42 per weekly session (one class per week). Thursday 9:00-10:30 am Friday 9:00-11:00 am Senior Drill Improve technique for all strokes. Work on singles and doubles play, strategy and serves. Ages 55 and above ½ price for this class! $32 for weekly session ($16 for ages 55 and above). Saturdays 9:00-10:30 am

ACE Ace Strategy Session This program is designed to bring the Ace graduates into the next level of tennis match play by incorporating strategy as a tool. Learn to play singles and doubles effectively under the supervision of a Five Seasons pro. The class offers 6 hours of instruction over the 4 week session. Classes will meet once a week for the eight weeks. Each class is 1 ½ hours long and will consist of drills that incorporate strategy concepts and match play. Program Cost: 4 week session is $126 (one class per week). You must be a member to take part in the drill. Program Dates: Session I: June 8- July 5 Session II: July 6- August 2 Session III: August 3- August 30 Class Days and Times: Monday 11:00 am-12:30 pm Tuesday 1:00-2:30 pm Wednesday 11:30 am-1:00 pm Sunday 4:00-5:30 pm Applications can be dropped off at the Member Service Desk. This class consists of 30 minutes of drilling and stroke correction coupled with one hour of supervised match play. Enrollment in this class provides the student with free registration in the Ace Flex League. Simultaneous participation in the Ace Level 3 and the Ace Flex League is required. Membership is required. Adult Tennis Director Rich Snodgrass will create a ladder based on the weekly results generated by the League. All matches are played at the Club. DROP-IN DRILLS As a convenience to our members, Five Seasons offers drop-in drills to meet the needs of players who cannot commit to a sessional class. To attend drop-in drills, please sign-up at the Member Services Desk by 5pm the day before class. Women s 3.5-4.0 Drill and Play The drill focuses on advanced stroke mechanics, strategies and match play 1 ½ hour clinic: $32 per weekly class. Monday 5:30-7:00 pm Men s 3.0 Drill and Play A drill for the player who has limited match experience and needs to improve their serves and consistency -1 ½ hour clinic: $32 per class. Please note that this class will not be offered on Saturday, July 4 th. Saturday 11:30 am-1:00 pm ADULT TEAM / INTERCLUB We invite you to participate in our Traveling Team Program for the summer of 2008. Session Dates: Session I: June 8-July 19 Session II: July 20-August 30 Note: No instruction will be offered on Saturday, July 4 th. Saturday team practices will be pro-rated appropriately for Summer Session I. Five Seasons Sports Club has teams for men and women at the NTRP 4.0 and under level, the 3.5 and under level, the 3.0 and under level and the 2.5 and under level. As a member of a Five Seasons team, you will have the opportunity to compete in bi-weekly interclub matches and participate in challenging weekly practices. Five Seasons professional staff will analyze your strokes, provide you with the best instructional and competitive drills and critique your match play. Each player must be able to play in one match per month and participate in team practices. The League meets once a week for 5 weeks in each of the two summer sessions. Open to players at the NTRP 2.5 level and higher. You may participate in one session as a non-member.

QUICKSTART TENNIS Beginner, Advanced Beginner and Advanced Intermediate Junior Program Featuring the USTA s QuickStart Format WHO CAN PLAY: The Beginner, Advanced Beginner and Advanced Intermediate Junior Program which features the QuickStart format is for girls and boys ages 5-12. LEVELS: Beginner: This level is for beginner-level students who are 5-6 years old. Graduates of Mighty Mites belong at this level. Advanced Beginner: This level is for 7-8 year old students who have received less than 6 months worth of instruction. Graduates of the Hot Shots classes belong at this level. Advanced Intermediate: This level is for 9-12 year old students who have received less than one year s worth of instruction. Graduates of the Intermediate classes belong at this level. WHAT IS THE QuickStart FORMAT? The QuickStart format is about fitting tennis to kids based on age and physical size. Each level has modified court dimensions, racquets and balls that will aid in developing better technical and tactical skills. This format scales the game down to the size of children, thereby making the learning process easier and enabling children to have more fun early on in their development as players.
