LONG RANGE PLANS Irrigation system overhaul, Greens drainage, Bunker renovation CHALLENGES Are there any particular challenges you face with your property? There are many large trees on the site that have a negative impact on the turf but at the same time make up part of the character of the site. Greens drainage is poor affecting the reliability of the turf and requiring a more intense surveillance throughout the season. We have a budget that is considered low for a course of our size. SUCCESS STORIES We have successfully hosted provincial professional events as well as amateur regional events. We have been able to maintain playing conditions in spite of a challenging budget and declining membership. We have a maintenance crew with a combined 180 years experience on site. 4

Please note any other features of your course that are unique. Club de golf Cowansville is a beautiful, mature championship golf course that is renowned as one of Quebec s best challenges of the game and perhaps Howard Watson s best use of the natural features of a site.
