FOOTBALL USEFUL INFORMATION FOR SUPPORTERS AND VISITORS ISSUE 3.0 SEPTEMBER 2017

WELCOME TO WIGAN ATHLETIC INFORMATION FOR SUPPORTERS AND VISITORS Wigan Athletic offer a warm welcome to home and away supporters and all visitors to the DW Stadium. The north west of England is an area rich in football history and Wigan Athletic is deeply rooted within this culture. Wigan is ideally placed to explore the North of England, including bustling towns and cities, beautiful countryside and golden sandy beaches, all a short drive or train journey away. The following pages provide all the information you may need in order to plan your visit, and make the most of your match day at Wigan Athletic. Should you need any further details, visit wiganathletic.com or connect with us on social media for the very latest updates. We hope you enjoy your next trip to the DW Stadium. CHOOSING YOUR SEAT FIND THE PERFECT STAND FOR YOU HOME SUPPORTERS FAMILY STAND (SOUTH) Sit behind the goal in the South Stand to enjoy the match in our most family oriented area at the DW Stadium. SPRINGFIELD STAND (WT) For the TV camera view, take your seat in the Springfield Stand. The tunnel side of the DW Stadium is home to our exclusive hospitality facilities and TV gantry and to many of our longest standing supporters. EAST STAND Many of our most vocal supporters choose to watch matches from blocks 2,3 and 4. Home supporters wishing to bring along their flags will be allowed to place them at the bottom of blocks 2 and 3. The East Stand is also home to the Family Zone which is open to all supporters both home and away an hour and a half before kick off at every weekend fixture. New for the 2017/18 season is The Game Zone, a fantastic facility featuring six brand new consoles and Virtual Reality technology for our younger fans to experience. VISITING SUPPORTERS NORTH STAND The North Stand is home to visiting team supporters, and also houses the Marquee Suite, a free-to-enter match day bar for away fans which is open for most fixtures at the DW Stadium. You will be able to buy hot and cold drinks and food, and watch football on the big screen. Away supporters may position flags in selected areas of the North Stand, however flags must not have poles attached and must not obscure sponsors advertising banners. DISABLED SUPPORTERS Each stand at the DW Stadium has two designated accessible platforms in excellent positions with catering and toilet facilities available, lifts to each concourse and direct access to the platforms. These platforms are designated for wheelchair bound supporters, with personal assistant seats allocated alongside the platforms. Additional wheelchair and disabled facilities are available at the front of the West Stand. A personal assistant, if needed, will be issued with a ticket at the club s discretion on completion of a disability registration form. A disability registration form will need to be completed and submitted to the DW Stadium ticket office as proof of disability, as opposed to producing a PIP form. Wigan Athletic are working in accordance with the Equality Act (2010) and charge disabled supporters the relevant concession price as able bodied supporters. The club makes provision for disabled supporter car parking on the adjacent Robin Park Arena, close to turnstiles and entry points to the stadium. Spaces are limited and admission is by ticket only. You can purchase a season pass for this car park at 69 for the season or pay 5 on the day. VISUALLY IMPAIRED SUPPORTERS Match commentary facilities are available for visually impaired supporters, in specific areas of the DW Stadium. Headsets are available for a fully refundable deposit of 10. Wigan Athletic are also the first club in the country to offer supporters the opportunity to enjoy a Virtual Reality experience, but parental permission must be granted for supporters under the age of 12. ACCSIBILITY The Club has a limited number of designated disabled parking spaces and the area surrounding the DW Stadium does not have any particularly steep gradients for disabled supporters to consider. We have designated space for two coaches with disabled supporters on board, which are 50m from the DW Stadium perimeter. Any disabled coaches must pre-book as early as possible. SHOPS, RTAURANTS AND PUBS The DW Stadium is positioned adjacent to Robin Retail Park, which is home to several large stores including Next, Boots, Smyths Toys, Argos and Pets at Home.
