Our snowbird season is coming to an end and we wish all safe travels and look forward to seeing you in the fall. However, the bills and expenses keep going. Without positive change we may not be here to greet you on your return. We desperately need to keep building on our positive appearance in the community. Membership is still not growing. We do expect lots of summer pool and golf memberships. What we need is the local neighborhood to start supporting Chaparral as a member and to patronize our course and club house. Less than 30% of the land owners around Chaparral are members. Very few residents of Palo Verde or Playa Del Rio patronize our club restaurant and very very few are members of Chaparral. Yet we add tremendous value to area property because of our golf course. I need everyone talking and speaking to our neighbors. We need their support financially. We are hosting a Neighborhood Block Party on Sunday April 29. We will be billing every member $5 to help cover some of the expense for this event. The block party is free to our neighbors and we hope we can introduce the value of CCC membership to those that live here and those that have increase property value due to our club s golf course. This will not be successful unless 100% of all members get out and greet our guests. The $5 fee will show on your monthly bill, but more importantly we need you to attend the event and offer a cordial invitation to join our club. It s now up to you. We are Chaparral. Kevin Nestrick, President. 4
