Prize Fund & Split A cash pot of 5200 has been secured for the event but may increase with additional tournament sponsors and will be announced prior to the start of the event. You will be treated to some mind boggling entertainment from Paul Nardini The ¼ finals will be played at 20.30 on Saturday Evening. Hospitality Teams will be able to help themselves to food throughout the event within the curling lounge. We would also encourage teams to share a drink with their opponents after the games at the Curlers Bar.

Rules In accordance with WCF rules UMPIRE REQUEST The Chief Umpire for the event will be John Brown assisted by a team of umpires throughout the weekend All teams are requested to read the player document to ensure they have read all the event rules. Games will be 8 ends and not played to a set time, teams are asked to keep up to speed to allow ice cuts between sessions and to keep games up to time as it will be a long day. Please also keep scoreboards accurate after each end for our live scoring and webcasting. A minimum of 6 ends are required to be played before conceding any game. Any questions please ask the umpire ICE TECH REQUEST Chief Ice Technician for the event TBC In order to provide the best possible playing conditions for all teams we would ask you to support the team by staying behind the field of play until the Ice Technicians give the umpire the all clear for your game to start As games will all finish at different times the Ice Technicians may request to cross your sheet to allow prep for the next session to take place. Your Support is very much appreciated. Stone Colour As per the draw the first team listed will be the top of the scoreboard and the second team the bottom with stone colour allocated. Teams are asked to position the placed stones themselves between ends
PRACTICE, LSDs Section Games All Games - teams will have 7 minutes practice which will include 2 LSDs per team to determine choice of first or second stone. The first one Clockwise, the second one Counter-clockwise. First Practice is at the allocated session time, followed by 2nd practice. Team named first in draw will have first practice. The DSC score for each team will be the average of all their LSDs minus the worst one. By the completion of all the section games each player must have thrown at least two stones with each turn. Knock Out Stage The qualifiers for the quarter finals and the choice of first or second stone at the first end will be decided on ranking after the section games ranking based on wins, followed by head-to-head results and then DSC if necessary Prior to the semi-final Teams will be required to throw two LSDs after their 7mins practice. Presentations The closing ceremony will take place imediately after the completion of the last game on Sunday 25th March 2018. All Teams are required and asked to be in Curling Clothing / Team Uniform to be part of the closing ceremony. Teams will be piped back out onto the Ice for the presentation of the Prizes Teams placed from 1st 4th & ¼ Finalists will be presented with their prizes during this ceremony along with the Consolation Cup Winners & Runners Up.
