Bachelor of technology in Institutional Catering and Accommodation Management The aim of this programme is to offer education and training in catering and institutional management and to equip the candidates with the skills and knowledge that will allow for eventual practice as a Manager in the welfare type of catering Industry. In the recent years, this sector has been revitalised by the building of brand new universities and polytechnics with modern purpose built catering and accommodation facilities. Development in hospital service and the development of large comprehensive schools have also led to development and innovation in the provision of school meals and accommodation. With the degree programme, students will obtain the skills that are required to oversee the everyday operations and management of these types of establishments. Entry Requirements Candidates shall be eligible for admission into the Bachelor of Science in Institutional Catering and Accommodation Management in the following categories: KCSE Candidates The basic admission requirement shall be the minimum entry requirements set for entry into the public universities, which is at least an average grade of C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). In addition, candidates are expected to have obtained at least a grade C+ in each of the cluster subjects in following cluster of subjects in KCSE examinations: Cluster Subjects The basic admission requirement shall be the minimum entry requirements set for entry into the public universities, which is at least an average grade of C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
