Announcing 2018 RANCHLANDS EXPERIENCES Ranchlands Camp is set in the eastern Colorado Prairie on the 87,000 acre Chico Basin Ranch, a working cattle ranch managed by Ranchlands. The team at Ranchlands has been camping out for many years for large cattle works, our annual bison roundup, spring brandings and fall gathers. In 2017, we decided to offer Ranchlands Camps to guests. There is no better way to connect with your surroundings than to sleep under the stars and enjoy meals at a dining table in the middle of the prairie. Ranchlands Camps are offered with a theme, from painting and naturalist experiences to traditional brandings and cattle works, each led by a seasoned professional. Each morning your cook prepares coffee and a hearty breakfast over a fire before you head down to saddle your horse and enjoy the day. After a hard day s work enjoy an outdoor hot shower and relax in camp before supper is called. Expect bison pot roast, local produce salads, dutch oven baked breads and a glass of wine while watching the sunset over Pikes Peak. When dinner is over, take the conversation to the camp fire or retire early to your comfortable Denver Tent Company tent, tastefully furnished by Filson. Camp staff will ensure your kerosene lantern is lit as dusk falls.
