Then your swimmer is encouraged to warmup as they need to attend the relay organizing meeting immediately following warm ups. WARM-UP SCHEDULE: 7:20 AM 7:35 AM Relay Meeting @ 7:35 AM 8&U (plus 6&U swimming a medley relay): Coaches Kevin, and Coaches Abby 9-10: Coaches Maddie and Ashlee* 7:35 AM 7:50 AM Relay Meeting @ 7:25 AM 11-12: Coaches Matt and Erika* 13-14: Coach Cody 15-18: Coach Morgan * Coaches Ashlee and Erika help with 6/8&U as needed BOYS TEAM SCORES Place Team Score 1 SRA Dolphins 261 2 Castle Pines Crocs 216 MEET 3 - SRA VS. PINEY CREEK Our net meet is at the Piney Creek Pool (5800 S. Joplin Way, Centennial, CO 80015) on June 18th at 8:00 AM against the Piney Creek Heat. The theme for this meet is SUPER HEROES/PRINCESS Piney Creek has two parking lots, one next to the tennis courts adjacent to the pool and one across the street. It may be necessary to park in the neighborhoods that surround the pool. Parking on Joplin is allowed, however please make sure to follow signs carefully. Please note the designated red fire lanes. Parking in these areas is off limits. Once you arrive at the pool you can setup anywhere you can find a spot inside or outside the pool area. Date: June 4 June 11 June 18 June 25 July 9 MEET SCHEDULE Location: Anthology Stroh Ranch Piney Creek Chapparal Highlands Team: Holly Park Castle Pines Piney Creek Chapparal Highlands Theme: Pajama Day Western Super Heroes/Princess Armed Forces/USA 70 s/disco Note: Piney Creek is an 8 lane, 25 meter pool. A 25 meter pool is slightly longer than a 25 yard pool like we have at Stroh and Anthology. This means that times will be a bit slower than the first two meets. Your swimmers entry times may look slower than you remember because they are converted to a meter time to accurately reflect the extra distance Piney Creek concessions will open @7:15 am. The menu includes breakfast burritos, bagels, pancakes, coffee etc. They will also fire up a grill for lunch, as well as other snacks and drinks throughout the day.

MEET 3 - VOLUNTEER DETAILS Our volunteer/swimmer check-in table will be located under the wood arbor behind the starting blocks. Parents, please remember to check in both your swimmer and yourself (if you are scheduled to volunteer) when you arrive at the meet! Please don t have your swimmer check you in for volunteering, come yourself so we can relay any required information you may need regarding your position. There will be a mandatory volunteer meeting for all parent volunteers @ 7:30am as follows: Timers (both 1 st and 2 nd shift) will meet at the start end of the pool around lane 1. The Stroke & Turn/Scribe/DQ Notifiers will meet by the lifeguard stand at the West end of the pool (at the end of lane 1). Scoring/Runners will meet inside the clubhouse. Heating will report at the Clerk of Course table under the wood arbor behind the starting blocks. Miscellaneous volunteers check in with the Piney Creek volunteer check in table before the meet starts TIMERS: Piney Creek uses a Dolphin timing system which has a special stop watch that starts automatically with the starting system. It is extremely important that you attend the timers meeting so you fully understand how to use this timing device and how to properly record times for each heat. This means both 1st and 2nd shift timers should attend the timers meeting at 7:30! BE PREPARED Being prepared is one of the key points in a swim meet that runs smoothly! Below is a list of items that you should bring to every meet. Swim Suit Goggle and Spare Goggles Sunscreen Lots of Towels Swim Caps Sweat shirts and pants Umbrella for Shade Water/Sports Drinks Flip Flops/Sandals/Pool Shoes Blankets Lawn Chairs Lip Balm Sun Glasses Snacks/Lunch/Money for Concessions Sharpie to write event/heat/lane on swimmer s arm Camera Meet Program (printed from Events page) And most important LOTS OF TEAM SPIRIT!! DELAYED ARRIVALS & SCRATCHES If you find that your swimmer cannot participate in the meet email Coach Morgan. Email will be checked from the time entries are posted and again starting about 5am Saturday morning for meet scratches due to illness or family emergencies. If a swimmer scratches from the meet and they are in a relay that will put that relay and/or all slower relays in jeopardy of a scratch - unless we can find a replacement Meet Nutrition Meet nutrition is always a big factor for doing well at swim meets! Eating healthy snacks before your race can help you perform better. So grab the Gatorade, Power Bars, water, nuts, or fruit instead of a candy, chips, or a soda. Healthy snacks have the nutrients your body need so you don t go on a sugar high then crash right before your big race! 2

WHAT AM I SWIMMING? The Meet Program provides information about the swimmer s events during the meet and their seed times for those events. It also provides the event, heat, and lane information for each race. The event is the race your swimmer will be swimming. Each event has a number-girls being the even numbers and boys being odd. There are 90 events per meet. Events are split into heats because there are typically more swimmers than lanes. If that is the case, they will have multiple heats. Finally, a lane is the specific area where the swimmer is assigned to swim. Make sure to bring a sharpie to write all of your child s events on their arm. This helps your swimmer and those people assisting your swimmer in heating know where they are supposed to be. Example: If your swimmer was swimming Event #20 (9-10 Girls 50 Free), Heat 4, Lane 3 & Event #42 (9-10 Girls 50 Back), Heat 2, Lane 5 it would look something like this: E H L 20 4 3 42 2 5 CHECK THE MEET PROGRAM Meet programs will be available on our Events page the Friday afternoon/early evening prior to each meet. Please take the time to review the Meet Program carefully as soon as they are posted to ensure that your swimmer(s) is in the correct events. Any errors should be directed to the coaches ASAP. Please be sure to also print and bring a copy of the Meet Program with you as they will NOT be available at the meet. FIRST CALL/LAST CALL The heating area will have a board set up displaying what event number they are announcing for first and last call. When they are first calling your child s event, your swimmer should start heading over to the heating area to receive their event card. Girls receive pink cards, boys receive blue cards and relay teams receive green cards. If swimmers arrive promptly to the heating area on first call, they are less likely to miss their event. SPORTSMANSHIP REMINDER As a friendly reminder, we want good Sportsmanship to be a priority for our team this season. We want to show it not only the team we are competing against, but also to our own swimmers and team members. Remember we are on the lookout during our meets for those displaying good sportsmanship. Please continue to encourage this with your swimmers and we encourage everyone to be involved and lead by example. 2016 REGULAR SEASON PRACTICE SCHEDULE All regular season practices are Monday through Thursday, and run May 31st through July 7th unless otherwise noted. HOW TO ENTER MEET ENTRIES For those of you that are new, meet entries are where you tell us what events your swimmer wants to swim at the upcoming meet. They are always due the Monday night prior to the meet as we enter them into the system on Tuesday morning. Everyone should fill out a meet entry, even if you are not planning on attending. There is an option available to let us know you are not attending and help us know that you just didn't forget to enter. It is critical to remember to get these in on time. It is a lot of work for the coaches to track down all the swimmers that didn't respond. Also we need them in on time so we can get reports posted to the website so you can verify the entries are correct before we send them off to the home team. The process is simple. Click the Events tab and then select the Edit Commitment button for that meet. You will be brought to a page that will allow you to commit or not commit your child to the meet. If you have more than one child swimming you will see them listed on this page. Here are the steps if you are NOT GOING: Click on the Member Names [they default to Not Committed]. Then click on the Signup Record pull-down and select No. If No, just click on the [Save Changes] button to save the changes. If you have more than one child, repeat the same task as listed above Here are the steps if you ARE GOING: Click on the Signup Record pull-down and select Yes Once yes is selected, you will see the events your child MAY be eligible to swim. You will also see the best times inserted into the Entry Time field and highlighted in yellow. Check the Checkbox to the left of the name for those events you would like to swim. Once you have finished, click Save Changes button in the lower right. (Super Loud) OnDeck App by Team Unify Many of you have installed or are planning to install the mobile Team Unify application OnDeck Parent. Once installed, the application asks for your Username, Password and Team Alias. For Username & Password please enter your SRA Dolphins login information. For the Team Alias please enter: recmhsradco Repeat the process for additional swimmers. You will notice that Coach Approval column will indicate Pending after you submit. Please pay careful attention to the following: Maximum Individual Event Entry is 3 events. Also in notes section please indicate if you are available for the Medley Relay, Freestyle Relay, Both Relays or No Relays and if you will be arriving late or leaving early. Your coach or team administrator will review your declaration and APPROVE or REJECT your request and once they submit the final choices you will be able to review by signing in and clicking on the Edit Commitment button for any events listed on our team website. Look at the Coach Approval column for the events that you have been confirmed to swim. Swimmers are allowed to enter up to 3 individual events and can swim in two relays. For relays, you simply let us know if your swimmer is available to swim on the form and the coaches will setup the relay teams when they do entries. It is acceptable for younger swimmers or new swimmers to swim less than 3 individual events if they so choose. MEET ENTRIES FOR THE CHAPPARAL MEET ARE DUE BY MONDAY, JUNE 20TH AT 11:59 PM. VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT Just a reminder that that it takes everyone on the team to make our organization successful. This means that we require families to fulfill their volunteer requirements. Each family is asked to complete 12 volunteer hours (4 shifts). Further, if you have a swimmer who has events in the 2 nd half of the meet, we would greatly appreciate you selecting a second shift position as we have been having a hard time filling those slots 4
