FADE IN EXT. WINDY HILL - BEACH - SATURDAY AFTERNOON It's a gorgeous day at the beach. The beach bustles with activity. (9) builds a sand castle on the shore. She's a very cute kid. She's skinny. She has long brown hair and brown doe-like eyes. She wears a Circus Time brand sun visor on her head. Her nose is slathered with white sunscreen. She takes her bucket and unloads a pile of sand. She starts to shape the sand into a wall. Savanna's waves to her. Time to eat! Savanna looks up from her work. The food is set up on a blanket. Her MOM sits under the large umbrella. MOM Food's ready Savanna. Savanna leaves her castle. She walks across the sand and sits down next to her parents. Her dad hands her one of the sandwiches. Savanna examines the sandwich. She looks very disappointed. Tuna? Dad smiles. He points to the ocean. It's the beach! This tuna probably came from right out there! Savanna makes a face. Dad looks amused. What kind of kid doesn't like tuna sandwiches? Me. Savanna's mom searches the picnic basket. MOM You know she doesn't like fish. Where's the peanut butter sandwich I made for her? Mom gives dad an accusatory look.

2. Dad smiles nervously. Savanna pouts. MOM You packed the basket. I'm sorry kiddo. Did you bring my chips? Mom searches the basket. She shakes her head. Savanna looks desperate. My soda and my cookies? Mom shakes her head again. Dad looks like he wants to crawl away. Mom takes a bottle of water and hands it to Savanna. Savanna GROANS. MOM I'm sorry hun. We'll get you something on the way home. But that's not for hours! Savanna falls on the sand in a big, melodramatic lump. She rubs her belly. Dad looks guilty. He tries to cheer her up. Well, if it's any consolation, these sandwiches aren't all that great. So it looks like we're both starving kiddo. Savanna's mom shoots him a look. He LAUGHS nervously. Just kidding! Just trying to cheer her up. Savanna gets up. She rubs her empty belly. She pauses for emphasis. I guess I'll go have a quiet belly rumble while I build my castle.

3. Dad cheers her on. While I starve! That's the spirit! Don't wander off too far! Savanna walks back to the shore. She looks for her sand castle. The sand castle has been wiped out by a wave. Savanna GROANS. She plops down on the sand and watches the sail boats on the horizon. She watches people swim. Someone catches her eye. She spots her teacher, MR. PAMPA (50). Mr. Pampa is thin. He has sharp features, a long chin and a permanent scowl on his face. He wades through the water. Savanna GIGGLES when she sees his scrawny chicken legs. She waves to him. Mr. Pampa! He doesn't notice her. Suddenly, a big wave hits him. The wave nearly knocks him over. Mr. Pampa rubs the water out of his eyes. He looks agitated and annoyed. He MUMBLES to himself. Savanna GASPS. Mr. Pampa's hair is gone! She sees his hairpiece float away. Savanna stands up. She walks toward the water. Mr. Pampa! Your hair is floating away! Mr. Pampa wades through the water. He doesn't notice Savanna or his missing hairpiece. He reaches the shore and starts to walk up the beach. Savanna walks into the water. She wades through the ocean and finds Mr. Pampa's hairpiece. She snatches it out of the water. Savanna examines it. I've got to give this to him. Savanna wades back to shore. She follows Mr. Pampa's trail up the beach.

4. EXT. BEACH Savanna walks along the beach. She hears someone call her name. She turns around and sees her friend (9). Riku waves to her. Riku is a cute kid. She has long, shiny black hair and dark almond shaped eyes. She's taller than Savanna. Savanna! Savanna smiles. She waves back. Riku joins her friend. Hey Riku! I didn't know you were going to the beach today! Yeah. Dad said it was too nice a day to stay home so we came here. She looks at the hairpiece in Savanna's hand. Her eyes grow wide. What is that? Is that an animal? Savanna waves the hairpiece in the air. Oh no. It's Mr. Pampa's hair. I'm trying to find him so I can give it back. His hair? Riku pauses. She nods her head. Oh yeah! I saw him walk by. He looked mad. Savanna hands her the hairpiece. Riku holds up her hands. Wanna touch it? No way! Savanna GIGGLES. Riku LAUGHS. Savanna tosses the hairpiece at her friend. Riku dodges. The hairpiece lands in the sand.

5. Savanna picks it up and washes it in the ocean. Savanna's eyes light up. Let's go over to my blanket. My dad's making hot dogs. Really? Yeah. Come on. They walk to Riku's camp. 'S FATHER lounges on the blanket. Hot dogs cook on a nearby grill. He waves to Savanna. Savanna rubs her belly. 'S FATHER Hey Savanna. You're just in time. You hungry? Sure am! Riku's father stands up. 'S FATHER I've got you covered. How about you Riku? Yeah. I'll have one. Riku's father looks at the hairpiece in Savanna's hand. He rubs his chin and shakes his head. Savanna smiles up at him innocently. 'S FATHER OK. That's interesting. Riku's father walks over to the grill. He looks at the hot dogs. The hot dogs are very charred. They look practically inedible. He scratches his head. 'S FATHER I hope you like them well done. Savanna observes the hot dogs. She looks disappointed. Riku's father places one of the blackened hot dogs into a bun. He hands it to Savanna.

6. 'S FATHER I kind of lost track of time there. Sorry about that. Savanna sniffs the hot dog. She takes a bite and makes a face. Riku's father prepares one for his daughter. 'S FATHER Here you go. Riku takes the hot dog. She studies it and shakes her head. Her father prepares his own hot dog. 'S FATHER Oh come on. They're good when they're charred. Look. He takes a bite and chews. He makes a face and shakes his head. 'S FATHER That's burnt. Savanna and Riku look at each other. Savanna shrugs. It's OK. Thanks for the hot dog anyway Mr. Ishii! Savanna smiles. She continues her walk to the beach. He nods. Is it OK if I go with Savanna? We're going to go see Mr. Pampa. 'S FATHER Don't go too far. You have your cell? Riku reaches into her pouch. She shows him the cellphone. 'S FATHER OK. Have fun then. See you later Savanna. Later Mr. Ishii! Savanna and Riku continue their search for Mr. Pampa.

7. EXT. BEACH Savanna and Riku continue their walk up the beach. sits under a palm tree. His MOTHER suns herself on a beach blanket. Kuder is a large kid for his age. He grins as he watches Savanna and Riku walk past him. Look! It's the dork sisters! Savanna stops. She waves to Kuder. Hi Kuder! Kuder notices the hairpiece in her hand. What's that thing in your hand? It's hair. Oh gross! Savanna and Riku LAUGH. You almost made me lose my appetite for lunch. Savanna glances at the colorful tent shaped box that sits on his lap. Her eyes light up. Savanna looks envious. A really good lunch too. The Circus Time Three Ring Meal. The Three Ring Meal? Yep! He opens the box. He takes out a large container. The Big Top burger. He opens the hamburger container.

8. Two flame broiled beef patties, pickles, tomatoes, bacon, mayonnaise and two oven toasted buns. He sets the burger aside. He continues to taunt the two girls. He takes a container of french fries out of the box. Periwinkle's seasoned curly fries. He pauses. He smiles as he watches Savanna stare at the food. He pops one into his mouth. So good! Kuder shakes his head. Can I have a fry? Nope. Why not? Nope. Kuder sets the fries down next to the hamburger. He looks inside the box. Wow! Riku shakes her head. He's being so rude. Savanna stares at the Three Ring Meal box. Kuder removes a large soft drink and a package of cookies. The Strong Man's soda! Thirty-two ounces! He inserts a straw and takes a long sip. Nice and cold. Savanna GROANS. She looks at her half empty bottle of warm

9. water. Kuder opens the cookies. He removes them from the package and places them next to the food and drink. I'll save these for later. He places his hand inside the box and takes out a Circus Time action figure. Savanna is excited. Oh! Is that the limited edition Dooby Birthday Bot figure? Kuder studies the action figure. He shrugs. I don't know. I don't collect this baby junk. Can I have it? Kuder narrows his eyes. He places it back into the box. He doesn't notice the flock of seagulls that are beginning to gather. No. I think I'll keep it. Savanna GROANS. Riku tugs on her arm. Let's go. OK. I have more important things to do anyways. Kuder smiles with satisfaction. Kuder's mom calls out to him. Yeah. Get lost. I'm going to enjoy my lunch. 'S MOM Kuder! Get me a towel will ya? Kuder grabs a towel. He walks over to his mother's blanket and hands it to her. The seagulls swarm on Kuder's food. Several gulls peck at his burger. They tear it into pieces and begin to eat their share. Several more seagulls fly away with his french fries. Savanna and Riku LAUGH. Savanna points at the birds.

10. They got your food! Better hurry! Kuder turns around. He puts his hands to his head. My lunch! He runs over to the tree. The birds scatter. He knocks over his soda as he swings and kicks at the gulls. Savanna and Riku wave goodbye. See ya Kuder! Kuder narrows his eyes. He MUMBLES to himself as they walk away. EXT - BEACH Savanna and Riku finally manage to track down Mr. Pampa. Their teacher sits under a tree. He reads a book. Savanna and Riku exchange looks. Riku shrugs. Savanna nods. They approach him. Mr. Pampa looks up. He looks surprised to see his students. Mr. Pampa stares at her. She points at Riku. MR. PAMPA What are you two doing here today? I came here with my parents. My mom and dad brought a picnic basket for lunch today. My dad forgot my sandwich and I don't like tuna sandwiches but I'll be fine for the rest of the day. They're taking me out someplace later. Oh. And the waves ruined my sandcastle.

11. Her dad, Mr. Ishii, you know him right? He gave me a hot dog but it was burnt up. Riku nods. Yeah. He said he lost track of time so they got all burned up on the grill. But that's OK because my mom always says it's the thought that counts. Mr. Pampa frowns. Savanna continues. Riku GIGGLES. We saw Kuder here too. He had the Circus Time Three Ring Meal but birds ate it. He thought he was so cool with his lunch! Savanna flaps her arms like bird wings. She struts around like a seagull. Riku LAUGHS at her friend's impersonation. Yeah! They just flew over and took that boy's food and ate it all up! Savanna stops. She tilts her head and looks at him curiously. Mr. Pampa appears agitated. Do you like Circus Time burgers? What? MR. PAMPA They're the best. I collect all the Circus Time stuff. Mr. Pampa rubs the top of his head. Savanna nods.

12. He looks at her suspiciously. Don't worry about that. I got it back for you. MR. PAMPA Got what back? Savanna proudly holds up her teacher's hairpiece. Mr. Pampa stares at it. I found it floating in the ocean. So I washed it off and carried it all the way over here. Mr. Pampa takes the hairpiece. He looks embarrassed and annoyed. Savanna smiles pleasantly. It's OK. My mom has bad hair days all the time! See you in class Mr. Pampa! Savanna and Riku wave goodbye. They walk back down the beach. FADE OUT
