Privateer is a term used in motocross to describe a rider without any sponsorship going up against large teams. Given the size of our school and the schools we compete against, the theme fit perfectly for FSU. Two of the key team members also competed in dirt bike races.

D.C. 20 th Overall Letter of Commendation The Mayfield was a tribute to Jeff Mayfield, an Architect professor at FSU who lost his life in a boating accident 2004 was the first time FSU qualified for the National Concrete Canoe Competition (NCCC). FSU has maintained this winning streak since 2004! FSU is the ONLY school from WV ever to be invited to the NCCC. No races were held at Regional s this year, due to the river current in Morgantown. FSU was the ONLY team to place in ALL nine of the regional competitions offered!
