Welcome to Costa Rica! A representative will meet you and greet you at the exit gate of the airport to proceed with your transfer to the Country Inn and Suites Hotel, where you will spend your first night before your trip begins. Check in at the Country Inn & Suites Hotel (other hotels are available upon request). We consider this hotel a great choice because of its perfect location, close to many shops, restaurants and a large shopping mall that is walking distance. Your accommodation would be a standard deluxe room with breakfast included (upgrades are available upon request). The standard deluxe rooms feature air conditioning, cable TV, coffee maker, mini fridge, mini bar, daily newspaper, hair dryer, high speed internet access, in-room safe, iron/ironing table and telephone. The hotel also has an on-site restaurant, swimming pool, sauna, gym and convenient access to popular local attractions, as well as historic sites. Day 2: White water rafting at Pacuare River. Pacuare river is a very special experience because of many reasons: it s a very long rafting trip, where you would be paddling for about 30 kilometers or 19 miles approx. (most rafting trips are 10 to 20 kilometers long), for a total of 52 rapids. Also, the views at Pacuare are unlike any other trip in Costa Rica, going through canyons, seeing waterfalls, beautiful untouched rainforests and wildlife is abundant, with sloths, monkeys, toucans, parrots, coatis, blue morpho butterflies and colorful frogs being common sights. Just please take into consideration that this is a class III-IV rafting trip, therefore, we recommend to take this trip if you have done class III rafting sometime before, and must be in a fairly good physical condition to paddle for about 4 hours.
Day 3: Private transfer-tour to Manuel Antonio Beach; wildlife viewing & culture. Today we ll take you to one of the most beautiful beach destinations of Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio Beach, rated as one of the 10 most beautiful in the world. On the way there we ll make a few stops to show you some unique things of our country (if you wish to make the stops of course), such as the famous crocodile bridge, where we normally see 20 to 60 animals from a safe viewing point. We also go searching for scarlet macaws, the most beautiful birds in Costa Rica, as well as stopping at the Jaco Beach lookout point, for you to take pictures of the beautiful Jaco Bay. We also do other unplanned stops along the way, such as viewing more wildlife if we find it, or stopping at local festivities when available, the idea is to show you as much as we can of our culture, for you to really feel that you are in a different place than home. As to the Manuel Antonio area, it s one of the main touristic destinations of the country for the simple reason that here you are able to enjoy of a great beach vacation, but with the advantage of being in the rainforest at the same time, where seeing wildlife every day is very common. Even at the grounds of your hotel, because the animals get out of the national park on a regular basis, like white faced capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, sloths, iguanas, tropical birds and the most beautiful mammal of Costa Rica: the squirrel monkey. The famous Manuel Antonio National Park also hosts the most beautiful white sand beaches of the Central Pacific region, and is one of the most developed touristic areas, featuring a large variety of restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, and many activities available, some of them among the best of the country. Also, the town of Quepos is fairly close, where the everyday living of a typical Costa Rican town can be observed.
Upon arrival to Manuel Antonio Beach, check in at Cabinas Espadilla Hotel (other hotels are available upon request). Cabinas Espadilla is a modest but comfortable accommodation, but the main reason we like to use this hotel is because of its location, only 100 yards to the beach (there are not beach front hotels in this area), 100 yards from the main attraction the Manuel Antonio National Park, close to several restaurants and shops. Your accommodation would be on a standard room with breakfast included; air conditioning, hot water, safe-deposit box, cable TV, coffee maker, refrigerator and Wi-Fi. Another good feature is the swimming pool, which is surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens. Day 4: Zip lining in the rainforest. As many people know, zip lining is Costa Rica s most popular activity, and the absolutely best place to enjoy it is our lush rainforests. On the way to the Central Pacific Mountains where the tour is done, you ll drive through plantations, rivers, jungles and then to the canopy center located in the middle of the rainforest. First you ll do a walk where you will learn about the flora and fauna of the area, and there ll be also an introduction to some of Costa Rica s products such as pineapples, vanilla and others. Then the real adventure starts, which includes a total of 10 zip lines, 2 rappel lines, 1 hanging bridge and 1 Tarzan swing. Once you are done with all the adrenaline stuff, a guided tour is done at the butterfly garden and the serpentarium. At the end of the tour, you will enjoy of a Costa Rican meal. Days 5 & 6: Free days to relax at Manuel Antonio Beach. These days of your vacation are free for you to enjoy of Manuel Antonio Beach, the hotel s pool or to book some additional activities. Some ideas for
things to do are: horseback riding in the rainforest, waterfall rappelling, parasailing, snorkeling, national park tour, kayaking, or a relaxing massage. Please let us know if you would like to add any of these activities and we ll be happy to coordinate them for you, the idea is for you to relax and enjoy of your vacation, we can take care of all the logistics for you.
