Fact sheet Tennis NZ Seniors National Teams Event 25-27 March 2016 Teams Event Information and Regulations Waikato Tennis Centre Hamilton THE EVENT in 2016 will be hosted by Waikato Seniors Tennis Club The Tennis New Zealand Seniors 2016 National Teams Event is a Team Competition for Men and Women from 35+ to 75+ years of age. Individual results will not be loaded into Configure Rankings because a match winner has not been decided which is a prerequisite for Configure Ranking. A great time and place to catch up with old friends, a must on the Tennis New Zealand Seniors Calendar. The Meet & Greet (where you check up on your opposition) and the Prizegiving Dinner and Dance (where you congratulate them).

2 Entries: Entries open mid-november 2015 and will close on Monday 22nd February 2016 From the opening date the Entry Form will be available: The Entry Form is on Tennis NZ Seniors website www.tennisseniors.kiwi An Entry Form will be forwarded to all Seniors Tennis Clubs in New Zealand All teams must enter through their Club Secretary. Eligibility: To be eligible to participate in any age group, a player shall have reached the minimum age limit by 31st December of the year in which the competition is held. This is a three day event and all teams must be available to commence play on Friday 25th March 2016 at 8:30am Events & Entry Details 01. Mens 35+ Team 06. Mens 60+ Team 10. Womens 35+ Team 15. Womens 55+ Team ENTRY FEE: $200.00 per team payable with your Entry Form OWNERSHIP: The Championships shall be owned by & Under the direction and control of Tennis New Zealand Seniors Inc, who may assign all or any rights to the host Senior Club. TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: TEAM ENTRY RULES RULES and CONDITIONS Age Groups: Men & Women: 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, 75+. To be eligible to participate in any age group, a player shall have reached the minimum age limit by 31st December of the year in which the competition is held. Teams may consist of mixed ages but must be entered in the age group section of the youngest player of that team.

3 TEAM ENTRY RULES RULES and CONDITIONS continued TEAM COMPOSITION: A player must be a current financial member of a Seniors Club. A team consists of 4 players a maximum of 6 players may be registered in any one team. All players Date of Birth must be indicated on the entry form. Each Club may enter more than one team in each age group with the understanding that additional teams may be placed in a different section from the one entered, should it be necessary. Teams can be made up from one Club and entered in the suitable age group. Players can be drawn from up to three adjacent Clubs only see page 7 for the list of Clubs adjacent to your Club. A 70+ or 75+ team can be drawn from any Club. They do not need to be adjacent. A player must play for the Club/Association where they reside if they are required by that Club/Association. A player, playing for a Club other than where they reside, must have a player release form from their home Club if their home Club has entered teams in the event. A player release form from their home Club will not be required if no teams have been entered from their Club. Teams will contribute points for their Club towards the top Club trophy ( John Mickell Cup ). The organisers reserve the right to divide, amalgamate or otherwise deal with age groups where there are too many or too few teams, in a manner which they consider will provide the best standard of competition for all. EVENT INFORMATION Parking: Parking is available at all venues being used for the Event. Practice Courts: Practice Courts will be available at the Waikato Tennis Centre Time 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Thursday. (See Venues at back for the address) Balls: Wilson Australian Open Tennis Balls will be used for the event.
