RAY MATTER The Rays have lost their last 2 games, dropping back to.500, and today look to avoid being swept for the second time this season (April 10-13 at NYY, 3 games) this is their first series loss since losing 3 of 4 games, May 8-11 vs. KC, as they went 5-0-1 in the six series in between Rays had entered this series having won 6 of 8 and 10 of 15 this series also snaps a streak of five straight series wins on the road, and is their first road series loss since April 28-30 at TOR (1-2). Zunino s 7 RBI last night were the most by a Rays opponent since BAL Nelson Cruz (7) on Sep 7, 2014 at Tropicana Field prior to Zunino, the most RBI ever by a Rays opponent batting in the No. 9 spot was 5, by TOR Russ Adams on June 29, 2005 at Tropicana Field. Twenty of the 21 runs allowed by the Rays in this series have been driven in by Seattle s 6-through-9 hitters.
