ANNOUNCEMENT: St. George MCC Inc., hereafter called the Promoter, will conduct the Honda RJays NSW Clubman Road Race Interclub Championship Series for solo motorcycles at State Motorcycle Sports Complex, Broadford, Victoria Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June, 2015. 2. JURISDICTION: 2.1 The above meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling Victoria (MVic) who has issued the Motorcycling Australia (MA) Permit N. 05289 and is open to holders of current MA Senior National, Club or One Event Licences. One Event Licences MUST BE applied for prior to the meeting. 2.2 Clubs Invited: BEARs, BWP, PCRA. You must be a member of one of these clubs and proof of membership must be provided. 2.3 The Meeting will be held in accordance with the current Manual of Motorcycle Sport (MoMs), these Supplementary Regulations, the Bylaws of MVIC and any Final Instructions. By entering this meeting all parties agree to comply with these rules, regulations, by-laws and instructions. 3. ENTRIES: 3.1 Entries open forthwith and close at midnight on 15/5/15. 3.2 For inclusion in printed program, entries need to be received by 8/5/15. 3.3 In case of postponement/abandonment of the meeting the Promoters may retain all or any part of the entry fee, if such retention is approved by MVIC. 3.4 Only entries received on the official entry form and accompanied by the correct fee will be accepted. 3.5 Late entries will be accepted at the sole discretion of the Promoter. 3.6 Riders withdrawing from the meeting will have entry fees refunded or transferred if entry cancelled by 7pm on the Friday before the event. 4. INSURANCE 4.1 National Capital Benefits Scheme, which provides basic cover for death and permanent disability. 4.2 Personal Accident and Ambulance insurance is rider s responsibility. 5. MEDICAL SERVICES: Provided by Ambulance Australia. Being: 1 FIV, 1 Ambulance, 2 Paramedic and 3 Rescue Medical Technicians and will be in attendance from 9am to 5pm on both days. 6. 8. CLASSES OF COMPETITION: The following events will be held over 5 heats, with the 2 nd heat on Saturday being a combined scratch and handicap, i.e. results will be published for first past the post & separately for Handicap (the Handicap result will be based on the combined result of all Classes within the 2nd Heat). RULES OF TIME HANDICAP RACES 9.1 Series Points: The Time Handicap Race is included in Honda RJays NSW Clubman Road Race Championship Series point scores. 9.2 Qualifying: Time Handicap is based on your fastest lap time from either practice, qualifying, or first heat. 9.3 Handicapping: Time Handicap is based on the slowest lap time of any competitor within that race multiplied by the number of laps for the Handicap event i.e. your Time Handicap is the (difference between slowest lap time of any competitor & your lap time) then that time is multiplied by the number of laps in the Handicap event. 9.4 Races: The Time Handicap result will be based on the combined result of all Classes within the 2nd Heat on Saturday. 9.5 The Winner: The competitor with the fastest Time Handicap race time will be the winner of each Hcp race. 10. AWARDS & SERIES PRIZES 10.1 Round prizes: At each Round of the Honda RJays NSW Clubman Road Race Championship Series the following prizes will be awarded. Riders are to register with the Bridgestone Tyre Service at the start of racing. 10.1.1 A competitor can only win one of each of the Round prizes during 2015. Ie. during 2015 if you win the fabulous Round 1 RJays Products then you are ineligible to win those same RJays Products again during 2015 and so on to each prize. This rule is only applicable to Round Prizes & has no affect on the Series Prizes. 10.1.2 Round Prizes will be awarded using the same scoring method as the Series Point Score. 10.1.3 For Round Prizes Rule 10.2.6 does not apply. If a tie still remains then the tie will be determined by a Draw From The Hat. 10.2 Series prizes: The Honda RJays NSW Clubman Road Race Championship Series will award the following prizes with a total value as at 1/12/14 of approximately $18,000. If due to lack of entries, grades are combined then the combined grades will be scored as one single event for this round. Series & class points & Trophies will be awarded as per finishing order for the combined grades. 10.2.3 Points in Series will be awarded to only one event including THcp per competitor on the day. If more than one event is entered then the Rider must nominate on entry form which event will be scored for Series Awards. If an event isn t nominated then the first Event that the ride participates in will be deemed to be nominated for Series Awards Pointscores. 10.2.4 All scoring and points will be awarded as per MoMS. In the event of a points tie, MoMS will apply. If this tiebreaker does not break the tie, FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Regulation 1.28.7 will be applied. 10.2.5 In the event of a tie in the Series Pointscore that cannot be separated by the rules already included in the Supplementary Regulations then the awarding of prizes will be determined by a "Drawing from the Hat": the names of the tied competitors will be placed in a container, a name will be drawn by a party acceptable to the tied competitors & the first name drawn will choose their prize from the available prizes & so on until all tied competitors have received a prize or all prizes have been awarded. 10.2.6 Each competitor must supply at least ONE Race Official / Flag Marshal / Recovery Marshal or Office Assistant for one FULL day at any one of the rounds to be eligible for the Series Prizes. These must not be existing members of the St George MCC Management Committee. 11. ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS 11.1 Ten entries are required to constitute a solo class. 11.2 Should there be insufficient entries in any class, the decision to run, cancel, combine or separate classes will be at the sole discretion of the Promoter. 11.3 The promoter reserves the right of determining eligibility of any machine and to seed combination rider/machine into any event. 12. RACE FORMAT 12.1 All races will be held over 5 Laps. 12.2 All Competitors will compete in at least 5 races over the two days, with their 2nd race being scored on a first past the post & separately on Handicap result. 12.3 Practice and qualifying will be run as separate events on Saturday 6 th June. There will be a short Warm Up session held prior to the continuation of racing on Sunday 7 th June. 13. MACHINES & RIDERS 13.1 All motorcycles, equipment & protective clothing must be scrutineered before practice & comply with current MoMs for road racing. 13.2 All machines will have their radiator fluid physically tested. Machines must be presented to scrutineering with their radiator cap OFF for fluid testing or they will immediately be sent to the back of the queue. Water is the ONLY acceptable fluid. If any bike is found to be non-compliant at scrutineering they will be given once chance to become compliant. Following this, at ANY stage of the meeting, if a bike is found to be non-compliant then the rider will immediately be disqualified from the meeting without a refund. There are absolutely no exceptions. 13.3 Riders are responsible for re-lockwiring their radiator cap after a scrutineering check of fluids has been completed. 13.4 All riders MUST WEAR leathers, boots and back protectors to scrutineering as well as presenting helmet and gloves. Riders not wearing these items will be moved to the back of the queue. 13.5 Random spot checks will be performed by Scrutineers throughout the meeting and any bike found to be non-compliant will be disqualified from the meeting without a refund.

14. RIDING NUMBERS 14.1 Final riding numbers will be notified with final instructions. Numbers are available for sale from the Race Secretary if required. 14.2 Competitors will be allocated their MNSW registered riding number, or their preferred riding number, if entry is received by early bird date. 14.3 On all machines numbers and plates must comply with the MoMs, positioned towards the riders left of the number plate, and be legible at high speed. 15. GRID POSITIONS 15.1 Grid position from heat 1 of each event will be from Qualifying. 15.2 Grids for each subsequent heat will be finishing order of the previous heat. 15.3 Any rider, for whatever reason, does not appear in the results of the previous heat will be grided at rear of grid for the next heat. 16. RIDERS BRIEFING 16.1 Attendance at the Riders Briefing is compulsory and will be held prior to the commencement of warm-up/qualifying. 16.2 Competitors must Sign On for Riders Briefing to confirm attendance. 16.3 Failure to attend Riders Briefing may result in a penalty up to exclusion from the meeting. 16.4 There will be an ADDITIONAL briefing for ALL D-Grade riders immediately following the main Rider Briefing. Attendance at this additional briefing is COMPULSORY. 17. DRUG and/or ALCOHOL TESTING: As per MoMS. 18. CODE OF CONDUCT: As per MoMS. 19. TIMETABLE: Gates Open: 6.30 am Scrutineering: 7.00-9.00 am Officials Sign On: 7.45 am Riders Briefing: 8.00 am Practice/Qualifying: 9.00 am Racing: ASAP after Qualifying. 20. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION 20.1 The events will be held on the 2164 metres hot mix bitumen circuit at State Sports Complex, Broadford, Victoria 20.2 The racing direction is clockwise. 21. STARTS 21.1 All races will be from a clutch start controlled by lights. If lights fail, starts will be from the raising of the national flag. 21.2 Your sighting lap will also be your warm-up lap. 21.3 Jump starts will incur a 10 second time penalty. 22. RACE FINISHES: will be signalled by a waved chequered flag. 23. NOISE: All machines must comply with the requirements of the track licence being 94dba at 30 metres. You will be given one opportunity to correct the noise problem. A 2nd occurrence will result in exclusion from the meeting. 24. SPECIAL NOTES AND WARNINGS 24.1 Machine impounding / examination / eligibility are at the discretion of the Steward/Clerk of Course. 24.2 Fuel is NOT available at the Broadford Complex 24.3 Garages and carports are available for the use of all competitors as allocated by the Race Secretary. 24.4 Fully enclosed footwear must be worn in Pit Lane. 24.5 No non-competitor under 16 years of age may enter Pit Lane. 24.6 No BBQ s and/or naked flames permitted in pits/garages. 24.7 There is to be no consumption of alcohol anywhere within the pit or paddock areas until the days racing is completed. 25. D GRADE RIDERS 25.1 All D-grade riders, without exception, are required to wear a vest over their leathers as supplied by the Race Secretary. The vest supplied will be signed out with the allocation of the transponder and must be returned with the transponder at the conclusion of the event. 25.2 Should a D-grade rider enter the track at any time without the supplied vest being worn then they will immediately be disqualified from the meeting without a refund. This includes ALL track activity; practice, qualifying and racing. 25.3 See point 16.4 for additional requirement regarding the D-grade Rider Briefing. 26. MOTORCYCLING Victoria PARTICIPANT DECLARATION CONTRACT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2015 HONDA RJAYS CLUBMAN CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES WARNING! THIS IS AN IMPORTANT DOCUMENT WHICH AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS, PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY AND DO NOT SIGN IT UNLESS YOU ARE SATISFIED YOU UNDERSTAND IT. 1. I THE UNDERSIGNED (see below): [Insert Name] HEREBY AGREE with Motorcycling Australia Limited ( MA ) that I am by this agreement entitled to participate in the motorcycle activity/meeting listed in Schedule 2 (hereinafter called "the Meeting" or the Event ) at the venue listed at Schedule 3 (hereinafter called "the Venue") on the terms and conditions set out in this document. 2. DEFINITIONS In this declaration: a) Claim means and includes any action, suit, proceeding, claim, demand, damage, cost or expense however arising including but not limited to negligence but does not include a claim against a Motorcycling Organisation under any right expressly conferred by its constitution or regulation; b) Indemnitees means and includes the persons, organisations and bodies corporate whose names appear in Schedule 1. c) MA means Motorcycling Australia Limited; d) State Controlling Body (SCB) means a state or territory motorcycling association affiliated as a member of MA; e) Motorcycling Activities means performing or participating in any capacity in any authorised or recognised Motorcycling Organisation event, meeting or activity; f) Motorcycling Organisation means and includes MA, and the MA members (including the SCBs and affiliated clubs) and where the context so permits, their respective directors, officers, members, servants or agents. 3. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS, DANGERS & OBLIGATIONS I ACKNOWLEDGE that: a) motorcycle sport is dangerous and that by engaging in the sport (whether as a competitor, recreational rider, coach, official or media) at the Meeting I take and am exposed to certain risks and dangers and am under certain obligations as follows: i) that I may be injured, physically or mentally, and may be killed; ii) that my machinery or equipment may be damaged, lost or destroyed; iii) that competitors may ride dangerously or with a lack of skill; iv) that track or event conditions may be hazardous and may vary without warning or predictability; v) that organisers, officials, landowners/track operators and any agents or representatives of those in charge of meetings are frequently obliged to make decisions under pressure of time/or events; vi) that any policy of insurance of or in respect of my life or physical or mental health may be voided; vii) that there may be no or inadequate facilities for treatment or transport of me if I am injured; vii) that I have an obligation to myself and to others to act safely and within the rules and regulations of MA; b) the Indemnitees do not make any warranty that the services at the Meeting will be provided with due care and skill or that any materials provided in connection with the services will be fit for the purpose for which they are supplied; c) to the extent that any warranty is implied it is excluded to the full extent permitted by law; d) have voluntarily read and understood this warning and accept and assume the inherent risks in participating in the Event. 4. WARNING UNDER THE FAIR TRADING ACT 1999 (VIC) Under the provisions of the Fair Trading Act 1999 (Vic) several conditions are implied into contracts for the supply of certain goods and services. These conditions mean that the supplier named on this form is required to ensure that the recreational services it supplies to you are: - rendered with due care and skill; - as fit for the purpose for which they are commonly bought as it is reasonable to expect in the circumstances; and - reasonably fit for any particular purpose or might reasonably be expected to achieve any result you have made known to the supplier. Under section 32N of the Fair Trading Act 1999, the supplier is entitled to ask you to agree that these conditions do not apply to you. If you sign this form, you will be agreeing that your rights to sue the supplier under the Fair Trading Act 1999 if you are killed or injured because the services were not rendered with due care and skill or they were not reasonably fit for their purpose, are excluded, restricted or modified in the way set out in this form. NOTE: The change to your rights, as set out in this form, does not apply if your death or injury is due to gross negligence on the supplier's part. "Gross SIGN HERE negligence" is defined in the Fair Trading (Recreational Services) Regulations 2004. For the purposes of the clause 3, the Supplier shall mean and include the Indemnitees. 5. INDEMNITY AND RELEASE GIVEN TO ORGANISERS IN CONSIDERATION of the acceptance of me as a participant in the Meeting: a) I AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND KEEP INDEMNIFIED to the full extent permitted by law the Indemnitees and each of them in the following manner: i) that I participate in the meeting at my sole risk and responsibility; ii) that I accept the Venue as it stands with all or any defects hidden or exposed; iii) that I indemnify and hold harmless the Indemnitees, their respective servants, agents, officials and competitors against any actions, costs, losses or claims which may be made by me or on my behalf for or in respect of or arising out of my death or any injury loss or damage caused to me or my equipment whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any other manner whatsoever. b) I AGREE TO RELEASE to the full extent permitted by law the Indemnitees and each of them from all liability to me for any claim, loss, damage, cost or expense (whether arising under statute, from negligence, personal injury, psychological trauma, death, property damage or infringement of third party rights or otherwise) that arises as a result of any act, matter or thing done, permitted or omitted to be done by me or which is in any way connected with my presence at or involvement in the Event. 6. The release and indemnity provided by me in this declaration is in addition to, and will not in any way limit the application of, the conditions of sale attaching to tickets, conditions of entry, conditions of credentials or any other applicable terms or conditions in respect of the Event. 7. A term of this release and indemnity will not apply where the term contravenes the law of the relevant jurisdiction under which any legal action is legitimately taken however such terms are severable and do not invalidate the remaining terms. 8. MEDICAL I declare that I am and must continue to be medically and physically fit and able to participate in the Meeting. I will immediately notify MA in writing via my SCB of any change to my fitness and ability to participate. I understand and accept the Indemnitees will continue to rely upon this declaration as evidence of my fitness and ability to participate. 9. I acknowledge and agree that if required, the Indemnitees (or any of them) may arrange medical or hospital treatment (including ambulance transportation) for me. I authorise such actions being taken by the Indemnitees and agree to meet all costs associated with such action. I understand it is compulsory for me to have ambulance insurance in some form and I accept responsibility for the cost of ambulance transportation, ambulance cover and further agree to maintain ambulance cover during the term of my license / membership. 10. PRIVACY I hereby consent to the collection of my personal information by the St George MCC, MA and the SCB in connection with my involvement at the Event and the use and disclosure of my personal information by St George MCC, and MA to other agencies and officials associated with the Event for the purposes of conducting and managing the Event. I understand that I may gain access to my personal information held by St George MCC by contacting St George MCC at PO Box 149 Sutherland NSW 1499 or MA at 147 Montague St, South Melbourne, Victoria, 3205. I understand that if I do not provide the personal information requested above that I may not be permitted to participate in the Event. 11. PERSONAL HEALTH INFORMATION I hereby agree with MA and the SCB that in consideration for my participation in the Event that MA and the SCB may receive, collect, store and use personal health information about me in the manner set out below: a) I ACKNOWLEDGE that: i) If I am injured, become ill or die at or following the Event the party listed at Item 8 in Schedule 1 in addition to any hospital at which I am treated (together my Carers ) will have health related information about me in their possession, power and control relating to me which is subject to obligations imposed by the Privacy Act ( my Information ) and the Privacy Act is intended to protect my personal information; ii) MA and my SCB wish to collect my Information for purposes that include their risk management programs, evaluating and improving the safety of MA and SCB events and of the Meeting organisers and facility providers of MA / SCB permitted events, and generally to reduce the risks to persons engaged in motorcycle sport; and iii) It is reasonable for MA and my SCB to collect, store, use and disclose my Information in accordance with clause 11(a)(i) above and in the manner set out in clause 11(b). b) IN CONSIDERATION of my acceptance as an entrant in the Meeting I consent and agree that MA and my SCB: i) may collect and store any of my Information, including obtain my Information from third parties including my Carers; ii) may use any information collected in accordance with this clause for any purpose consistent with creating safer competition in motorcycle sport and events held by or in conjunction with MA, my SCB, or with an MA or SCB permit; iii) may disclose my Information to third parties provided such disclosure is reasonably intended to be used for the purpose of improving safety at events held by or in conjunction with MA, or with an MA permit provided any such information is held by MA or my SCB in accordance with the MA Privacy Policy. c) I irrevocably authorise MA and my SCB and hereby appoint MA and my SCB as my lawful attorneys to collect from my Carers, and I hereby direct my Carers to provide to MA or my SCB upon request being made by MA or my SCB, any of my Information including but not limited to any information concerning any incident or event causing or contributing to or resulting from any injury, illness or death to me, the details of any diagnosis and prognosis provided to me by my Carers (or any party with the knowledge of any of my Carers), and any other matter to the knowledge of my Carers that might reasonably be considered to be requested by MA or my SCB for the purpose of improving safety at MA and SCB events. 12. POLICIES AND REGULATIONS I acknowledge, understand and agree that it is a condition of my participation in the Event that I agree to be bound by, and subject to, the rules, regulations and jurisdiction of MA as amended from time to time. Copies of all MA rules, policies and regulations are available by contacting the MA office. 13. All participants are bound by the MA anti doping policy and thus understand they may be subject to drug testing. Testing conducted by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) is in accordance with the ASADA Act and the National Ant-Doping Scheme. This involves the taking of a sample (any human biological fluid or tissue whether alive or otherwise, or any human breath) for the purpose of detecting the use of a Prohibited Drug or Doping Method. Any participant infringing MA s policy or refusing a drug test may be disqualified or otherwise dealt with in accordance with the terms of the anti-doping policy. 13. RIGHT TO USE IMAGE Right to Use Image: I acknowledge and consent to photographs and electronic images (including, but not limited to, moving images) being taken of me during my participation in the Event. I acknowledge and agree that such photographs and electronic images are owned by the copyright holder of those photos and it may use the photographs and electronic images for promotional or other purposes without my further consent being necessary. Further, I consent to the copyright holder of those photos using my name, image, likeness and also my performance in the Event, at any time, by any form of media, to promote the copyright holder of those photos or the Event.
