Course Etiquette & Information ACCEPTABLE GOLF COURSE ATTIRE Attire must be tailored and in good taste Shirt must be tucked in and have a collar (standard style, turtleneck or mock neck style) For women, sleeveless shirts with a collar or high neck or shirts with sleeves and a moderate scoop neck Shorts must be a minimum of 18 in length from the top of the waist, or 3 above the top of the kneecap Golf shoes must be worn unless specified by a physician. Socks or sockettes must be worn. Soft spikes are mandatory UNACCEPTABLE GOLF COURSE ATTIRE Blue jeans, short shorts, cut-offs, tank tops, sleeveless/collarless/team shirts, shirts with slogans, baseball hats worn backwards, t-shirts, running pants, track or jogging suits & cargo-style pants ACCEPTABLE CLUBHOUSE ATTIRE The dress code for the golf course is applicable for the Clubhouse Hats may not be worn in the mixed lounge, dining room or ballroom Appropriate footwear should be worn in all areas of the Clubhouse (shoes or sandals) Dress jeans are acceptable in the Clubhouse that you can better acquaint yourself with the course and warm up on the practice range, practice greens and chipping green. Play ready golf - Everyone needs to do his or her part to help speed up the pace of play. Check your yardage as measured from the sprinkler heads. Take two or three clubs with you to the ball. Be prepared to hit your shot when it is your turn to play. Yardages are marked on the sprinkler heads and are measured to the center of the green. Power cart usage to be monitored according to weather and course conditions Double par is the maximum score allowed on a hole. Pick up your ball and proceed to the next hole at this point. Try to observe your partner s shot, this way errant shots will be easier to locate. Become familiar with the on and off course dress code before arriving at the Club. Our marshal is in control of the speed of play. Please cooperate with his/her requests for the enjoyment of all golfers. Please return your clubs to your car upon completion of your game. Terms & Policies DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY Tentative bookings will be held for a maximum of 14 days, after which time they may be cancelled at the discretion of the Club. A non-refundable deposit of $1500 is required at the time of confirmation. The deposit is forfeit in the case of a cancellation within six months of the function date. Cancellation of the event must be confirmed in writing. The deposit will be credited to the final statement for the event. Fifty percent (50%) of the estimated cost is required 14 days prior to the function, which is non-refundable and the balance, which is non-refundable, is due 72 hours before the function. Outstanding amounts are due a payable on the day of the function. If accounts should become 30 days past due, they will be charged to the credit card provided below and charged interest of 2% on the unpaid balance. GUARANTEED NUMBERS A minimum commitment of 100 players is required to close the golf course exclusively for your tournament. In any event you will be required to pay the minimum of 100 or the number in attendance, whichever is greater. The Club will require an approximate count for food services at the time of booking and must be notified of a guaranteed number of attendees three (3) business days in advance of the function date. In the event the attendance number changes, you will be billed for the guaranteed number or the number in attendance, whichever is greater. The Pro Shop must receive confirmation of final numbers for the tournament fourteen (14) business days prior to the event in order to have appropriate amount of golf carts available for all participants. All efforts will be made to acquire additional carts should the number of golfers increase inside of the 14-day deadline but Dundas Valley can NOT guarantee that carts will be available for the added golfers. INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY If your group is unable to start play due to inclement weather (as determined at the sole discretion of the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club), or play does begin, but you do not complete 9 holes due to inclement weather, you will not be charged for any green fees. Alternate arrangements for rainout dates will NOT be made. However, you are committed to food and beverage guarantees. Arrangements for rain checks are at the sole discretion of the management. DAMAGE TO CLUB PROPERTY The tournament convener assumes the financial responsibility for any and all damage caused to Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club property during the course of a tournament. FOOD & BEVERAGE Our Banquet Coordinator will contact you approximately four to six weeks prior to your function to assist you in your menu selection. All food is prepared on the premises by our Executive Chef and his qualified staff. Special menus can be arranged and will be priced accordingly. All food and beverage served at the Club is to be provided by the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club. Pursuant to the Health Services Act of Ontario no food may be brought in or taken out of the club. No food or beverage may be sponsored by other sources without permission from the Dundas Valley Golf Club. LIQUOR SERVICE Dundas VAlley Golf Club hours of service are 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday. Alcoholic beverages will be served in accordance with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario. No Alcohol may be offered as a prize, Auction and or gift. If such items are to be found on our property you will be asked to remove them as per the AGCO regulations. The Club is licensed to operate under AGCO regulations. No member or guest is permitted to bring alcoholic beverages or illegal substances onto club property. Our Smart Served trained servers have the right and obligation to refuse service to any member or guest who, in the opinion of the server, appears intoxicated. Moreover, members or guests who appear to be 25 years of age or younger will have to provide acceptable ID. If any members or guests provide alcoholic beverages to underage persons their actions will result in suspension of the bar service. The Management and the Board of Directors of the Club shall totally support any decision made by the server to refuse service for these reasons. Members or guests who have been refused service will be asked to not drive their vehicles. The duty manager will arrange alternative transportation at the cost to the member or guest. If, in the opinion of the duty manager, the situation is out of control, the police will be called. SMOKING POLICY The Club is a totally smoke-free environment. All patios (covered or uncovered) are 100% smoke free under the Smoke-free Ontario Act. Smoking is not permitted within 15 feet of any entrance. Smoking areas are designated and smoking is permitted in these areas only. East side of the lower patio and south west corner off the lower patio. Northside of the clubhouse at the corner of the Bertram Lounge curling building (left of the main entrance. Parking lots. Golf course. Please be courteous and dispose of your cigarette and cigar butts in appropriate containers. PARKING Is not restricted, with the exception of the circle (fire route) in front of the Clubhouse and the Pro Shop and all marked and designated handicapped parking spaces. Infractions in these cases will see the vehicle towed at the owners expense. LOST ITEMS The Club is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Please be careful with your valuables.
