WELCOME TO C-BAR RED ANGUS Welcome to all our friends, family, neighbors, and fellow cattlemen. I want to thank everyone who is taking time to read this catalog and for showing interest in us and our cattle operation. I am thankful for those who have assisted us over the years to build this program. I am very appreciative of the businesses and friends who have believed in Cindy and I and been so supportive and helpful over the last two years to allow us to get to this point in our ventures. Also, to Mark and Sheryl Hettervig who have invested with us and given us the opportunity to be ambi- I could talk about individual animals in the sale and how Red Angus are on the horizon of such great things to come, but reading this catalog unless you realized the opportunities of Red Angus. I would like to share with you a couple of things you might not know about C-Bar. purchase of Abigrace in January of 2003. Many people have sayings or slogans that their goal is only about their customers success. I applaud this ethic but must say without apology that we are raising the type and kind of Red Angus that suit our customers. The cattle we are running in our pastures are ones that do what I want cows to do. I am not following what some pronounced the proceeds from our two businesses, C-Bar Ranch and Cedar Bluff Lodge. Two years ago we became totally dependent upon bills. For that reason we are selling cattle at the very top of our calf crop. Additionally we are digging deep into our herd and selling females that were not intended to be sold. We are proud of the cattle we are offering you. Two of the most exciting females we have ever produced, the combination of Mulberry and the Stony cow family gives these heifers eye appeal that I am sure will catch everyone s attention. These cows show how embryo transplant can move a program. All three could be donors. We flushed S614 as a virgin heifer and got several powerful bulls. She is one of the stoutest F442 daughters you will find anywhere. Modest on milk but exceptional on muscle and growth. Flush sisters are also working in the A1 and Box herds in Texas. They are smooth made, deep sided and have really nice udder development. When you look at this pedigree on all three sisters you will see that Steve has crossed muscle with performance and style. We tried to buy 503 in their dispersal sale but got out bid by Donnell and Kelly Brown. They got a great cow. We were able to raise several daughters by 503 and can afford to let one go. We think this moderate heifer will make an exceptional cow.
