Football Flag Football The Windsor Flag Football league s focus is to teach fundamentals of football in a team setting. To promote equal team competition, players should attend an assessment date. Players will be assessed on basic football skills and athleticism, and will be placed on teams according to skill level and grade. Participants will learn football fundamentals with the exception of tackling or blocking (non-contact league) with an emphasis of equal participation with winning being secondary. Teams play 5 vs. 5 and are scheduled for six games with an end of season playoff if scheduling constraints permit. Coaches wanted: This program relies on parent volunteers to coach. It s sad when kids miss out on the action because of a coaching shortage. Please contact us if you are willing to coach. Coaches get to pick their own practice schedule. Call 970-674-3515 for more information. Location: Practices and games are held in Windsor during weekday evenings. Some age groups may play games in the Fort Collins Flag Football League if less than a minimum of 30 players are registered for that division. Assessments will be held at Chimney Park at 5:30 p.m. on the following dates: Tuesday, March 20: K - 1 Grade Wednesday, March 21: 2-3 Grade Thursday, March 22: 4-5 Grade and 6-8 Grade Requests: Coaches select their team through the assessment process, therefore, requests cannot be guaranteed for a child to be placed on a specific team, with a specific coach, on a specific practice day, or with another player.
