Part I: Event Overview Hong Kong World Cricket Sixes The organiser of the Hong Kong World Cricket Sixes 2017 would like to invite all interested parties to submit a quotation to provide specific services to this years event. The Cricket Sixes will be held at the on 28 th October to 29 th October 2017 (Saturday & Sunday). Organised by the Hong Kong Cricket Association from 1992-2012, the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes will make a return as the second major cricket event in the city along with the Hong Kong T20 Blitz. The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes is fully sanctioned by the world s governing body for cricket, the International Cricket Council. The tournament will be broadcast around the world. About the Project The project requested by the organiser is the provision of various items for on-ground set up. ITEM DESCRIPTION Quantity A. Public Area (total of around 1200 public seats) 1. Provision of spectator stand for 1 unit 1200 seats (approx.) 2. Provision of thin, green plywood at front of the spectator stand & along two sides of the walkway beneath spectator stands. 3. Terraplas surface for spectator stand. 4. Grandstands must have min. 18 clearance off ground to allow for storage of protective tarps NB: Public stands should be erected as far as possible vertically rather than horizontally to maximize playing surface area. In general, maximization of surface area for play is a priority for all event production & set-up. B. Corporate Boxes (I) VIP Ground Box 23 sets Size: 3m x 6m x 1.2 (Height from ground) Each VIP Ground Box must be set 1 metre away from pathway leading to the Swimming Pool Pavilion - Each set includes the following: 1. Hiring of platform with carpet and skirting - Size: 3m x 6m x 1.2 (H) - Carpet colour : Green 2. Hiring of Multiform 3D or equivalent - Size: 3m span x 6m - Ridge height: 2.8m - Colour: White - Include mesh back wall Page 3

Supply of plywood during set up and dismantling (see method statement): (required as cover on practice wicket under stand B) 3. Hiring of foam board (emergency exit signs) 24 pcs 4. Production of Advertising foam boards 2.1 x 1.2m 50 pcs 5. Manpower for set-up period 6. Toilets 12 pcs a. Portable with move-in, move-out and daily cleaning/maintenance. b. Note: Minimum of one portable toilet shall be required on-site for use by contractor staff during set-up and removal. Page 5

H. METHOD STATEMENT (Cricket Sixes 2017) Set-up & Dismantle Requirements & Schedule Hong Kong Cricket Sixes 2017 Contractors must agree to abide by the following schedule & requirements. 1. Delivery & pre-staging of stands material will be allowed from 20 October. 2. 24 ton trucks will unload the structures in racks in the loading area at the bottom of the side delivery driveway off of Cox s Road 3. A double layer of 12mm plywood must be laid for protection of the artificial grass which allows 24 ton trucks and 3 ton forklifts to drive on. Such protective materials will remain in place throughout the duration of the set-up and dismantle period. 4. Minimum 18mm plywood (4 x 8 sheets) must be used as pathway on the pitch under the stands area during all set-up and dismantling. 5. Such plywood to be used to lay the track for forklift access to deliver the structures under the grandstands. 6. All racks will be unloaded onto the plywood placed on the pitch as protection to the grass. 7. Forklift turn-around stations will be erected along the track using plywood (approximately 4 x 4m) for protection of the grass. 8. 3-ton forklifts may drive along this pathway. The width of the track is only serviceable for forklift (approximate width 2.5m). Anything wider is deemed to be unsafe. 9. Any cracked or damaged plywood after use by forklift must be immediately replaced to ensure protection of the grass. 10. Protective plywood will be placed under each base plate of the stands to protect the grass. 11. After completion of set-up all plywood will be collected and removed by contractor as the uneven surface may pose a risk or cause danger to spectators. 12. Thin matting (3m wide) will be laid on the track as the walkway for spectators to the stands through the rear access. If the integrity of the underlying soil or surfaces has been damage in any way during set-up the contractor shall be responsible for restitution of the surface quality prior to laying said matting. 13. While dismantling, plywood shall again be laid as the track for 3 ton forklifts to drive on to collect the racks with structure to the loading area for transportation by 24 ton truck. 14. All movement of materials not moved by forklift will be done via pneumatic trolleys under th strict supervision of the KCC Grounds Manager or staff. 15. New Turf practice wickets: (a) The design and layout of the public stands or VIP boxes must be carried out in such a way Page 6

as to totally avoid grass practice area located in the Southeast corner of the grounds. (b) Any damage to this area will render the area unusable after the event. (c) Cost to repair any damage incurred to this area during set-up or dismantle will be borne by the contractor. (d) Contractor shall provide schematic for this and all other set-up areas prior to any construction. 16. Set-up may only commence at 18.00 on 22 October (Sunday) 17. Dismantle of all stands and boxes etc. must be completed no later than 1 November 2017 Method Statement: Hospitality Areas 1. Small air-filled, minimum 8-inch diameter wheeled trolley will be used for delivery of the structures for the Hospitality area from the loading area and must be taken around the perimeter of the ground. 2. Plywood shall be placed under each base plate of the platform to protect the grass. 3. Plywood for the bottom of the stands is ot to be put into place until the last day prior to the event. Deliveries: 1. All deliveries and movement of materials not moved by fork lift will be moved by pneumatic trolleys under strict supervision of the KCC Grounds Manager or Grounds Staff. Page 7

Part II: Hong Kong T20 Blitz Event Overview In addition, China Cricket International will organise the Hong Kong T20 Blitz at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground from February 6-11 in 2018. The event will feature five privately owned franchises that combine both domestic Hong Kong players with overseas stars from around the world. Players such as Kumar Sangakkara, Darren Sammy and Marlon Samuels were among the 25 overseas stars to compete in the previous edition. The Hong Kong T20 Blitz was first run in 2016 and will enter its third season in 2018. The Blitz is fully sanctioned by the world s governing body for cricket, the International Cricket Council. Tender Conditions: Hong Kong Cricket Sixes 2017 Timeline: - Wednesday, 29 August Issuance / Posting of Tender - Wednesday, 13 September Tender Submission - Week of 18 September Appointment of contract tender Tender submissions must be submitted using two separate envelopes: - Envelope 1 shall contain information about your company & background, incl. relevant projects. - Envelope 2 shall contain your proposal, which includes itemized pricing on the production requirements completed on the attached excel sheet (Appendix I: CCIL Ground Tender Pricing Sheet). These will be placed into a tender box and opened in the presence of witnesses on the 14 th of September, with a decision made within the following seven business days. Please submit the two sealed envelopes addressed to China Cricket International Limited at 1019 Olympic House, 1 Stadium Path, on or before Wednesday, September 13, by 5.00pm HKT. Tenders submitted after this period will not be considered. Notes: Requirements may vary subject to final budget and demand. The project may be tendered in whole or in part as determined by CCIL and may be open to further negotiation and various pricing models. Bids will be opened by a panel of assigned members. Project Budget Line-items: Please itemise costs clearly in your response using the pricing sheet provided (Appendix I: CCIL Ground Tender Pricing Sheet) Tender Pricing: Page 12

When submitting your tender proposal, please itemise costs for production of Cricket Sixes and T20 Blitz as separate items, as well as providing a combined price for both tournament production requirements. The project may be tendered in whole or in part as determined by CCIL and may be open to further negotiation and various pricing models.
