Cruise different In 2008, Azimut invented a new way of going to sea: Magellano 74, the "modern trawler". Ever since its debut, the Magellano Collection has been an "experience maker". It is a Collection for those who don't want to simply own a boat, but rather enjoy the sea and discover the world around them. In keeping with the same philosophy of innovation, Azimut Yachts proposes a new model for the summer of 2015 that will truly amaze: the Magellano 66, "a real megayacht in just 20 meters". 1

Interiors The Magellano 66 offers surprisingly spacious interiors for its 20 x 5.4 meters. The main deck is all on one level; it has a large sliding door facing out over the cockpit all the way to the bow, where the pilot station and galley are located. The main deck features elegance, functionality and a breathtaking view of the horizon. Highlights include a large Lshaped sofa facing an impressive bar cabinet, a TV cabinet up to 50, and a dining table transversally positioned. All this comes with the standard version of the Magellano 66. 6
NAVETTA VERSION (OPTIONAL LAYOUT) Unprecedent privacy surpassing that of even bigger boats 7
Navetta version (OPTIONAL LAYOUT) Positioning the internal stair on the starboard side means the saloon/dining area can be separated from the piloting and galley area, for unprecedented privacy surpassing that of even bigger boats. The crew can carry out their jobs without having to access any of the boat owner and guest spaces. The door to the side walkway is from the galley, allowing the crew to reach their own cabin without crossing the saloon. At the same time, the boat owner and guests can access the saloon from the accomodation quarters, without having to cross the galley and piloting station. The Navetta version also enjoys an expansive view out over the water, with sliding doors and panels that also facilitate mooring. 8

The fourth cabin is designed as a utility room but, upon request, can be outfitted as a cabin with bunk beds. The washer and dryer are conveniently located along the corridor. 13

Unprecedented cruising comfort The design of the Magellano 66 sis built on the same foundation that makes all Magellano Collection yachts so special: the Dual Mode hull. The goal is to offer a versatile boat that offers a more comfortable riding even in moderate to rough seas. Accomplishing this required developing keels that were profoundly different from those found on planing hulls. Magellano keels soften the impact of waves, cutting through them with the vertical bow. At the same time, the significant forward volume minimises pitch and provides constant buoyancy support, even when the boat is descending the trough of a wave, so the water has a hard time reaching the main deck. This assures a sense of safety both for those piloting the vessel and their guests. In other words, the Magellano is a design that allows you to eat up the miles; it embodies the pleasure of cruising in its purest form, under the banner of Italian Design elegance. 16
Dual Mode Hull The double chine hull help softening the bilge area, in a way making it very closely resembling the features and performances usually associated with that of a round bilge hull, still by keeping some of the advantages of a hard chine hull (in particular the roll dampening effect). Upper chine provides a large local beam at low speed. This is beneficial from a transverse hydrostatic stability point of view at zero speed. The flow will separate from the lower chine at high speed (lower chine has a least resistance shape - reduced beam - so it help reducing the consumption) 17
