Course Information Course Information The Stadium Course The Championship Stadium Course design was inspired by TPC Network s flagship, TPC Sawgrass, which allows for maximum gallery enjoyment from the many spectator mounds and hills dotted along the broad fairways creating a stadium style viewing. Designed by Florida s own Ron Garl, and PGA player Mike Souchak, as consultant, the par 72 Stadium Course rewards shot making more that length, and features undulating greens that rise and fall as players approach the signature 9 th and 18 th holes. Playing 6,941 yards from the tips of the back tees it offers five tee options for women and seven tee options for men. The Club Course The Club Course is a classical Florida design including Grand Oaks tree lines, doglegs and carry over water, designed by Robert Von Hagge, with PGA TOUR player Bruce Devlin as consultant. Event Format Event Formats Scramble This format is probably the most enjoyable type of tournament because only the best shots are played and the pace of the game is very fast. All players drive, the best ball is selected and all players take their next shots from that point. The process is repeated until the ball is holed out. The team records one score. Gross scores can be used and handicaps are not required. The scramble format promotes easier and faster scoring. Best Ball This format may be played as 2, 3 or 4 person teams. Golfers play their own ball on each hole, and the lowest score is then recorded to be the team score. This format may be played with or without a golf handicap. This is usually a fun format with a medium pace of play. Results can be calculated quickly. Skins An individual play format: a skin is a point given to the player with the lowest score on an individual hole. Schamble This format combines the scramble and best ball formats and can be played in 2, 3 or 4 person teams. All players drive, the best ball is selected and all players take their next shots from that point. Each player then plays their own ball for the rest of the hole and the lowest score is recorded to be the team score. Longest Drive Prize awarded for the longest drive from the tee-box (in the fairway); normally played on the course s longest par 5. Closest to the Pin Prize awarded for the shot that comes to rest closest to the pin played on a par 3. Longest Putt Prize awarded to the person who makes the longest putt on a specific green. This is typically played on a low handicap par 4.
