Zach met with Gabe Gonzalez on July 5, 2017 regarding the bike racks for Downtown Gilroy. He said the bike racks were approved during the one- time budget funding requests. There were just some items that needed to be taken care of first, and the Bicycle Pedestrian Commission is currently working on it. Gabe is contacting Kristi Abrams from Planning to see when Sue O Strander can meet with him so we can iron out dimensions of the rack, design, placement locations, and develop a draft guideline for racks in Downtown Gilroy. Zach is working with Gary Walton and the Gilroy Downtown Business Association (GDBA) during this process as well. Gary will try to make the meeting with Sue when I schedule it. The GDBA and Gary are in support of this project. Once we get a guideline drafted along with cost associated we will get it on the 5
