Field Set up Responsibilities and Timing The home team is responsible for setting up the field and if it is the first or second game of the day, the visitor team must help with set up. If it is the last game of the day, the visitor team is responsible for cleaning up the field and ensuring everything is locked up. This includes: Putting away any field set up equipment left out Putting away all the bases Plugging the base posts Putting away the dugout screens (minors field only) Locking up the scorer s booth Locking up all of the equipment sheds Both Teams are responsible after the game for making sure the field, dugout areas, and stands are clean and all garbage is picked up. The field preparation and set up should be completed whenever possible: 20 minutes before the start of the game when the teams will be conducting an infield/outfield warm up 10 minutes before the start of the game when the teams will not be conducting an infield/outfield warm up (i.e. T Ball, Farm)

Set the Bases You will need to pull the base plugs The bases are magnetic break free bases for the players safety. You may see them in two pieces. You may need to remove dirt from the base post to ensure the bases lie flat against the dirt. To do so, use the tool shown.
Put up the Dugout Screens (Minors Field Only) The dugout screens can be found in the scorekeeper s booth attached to the minors field. The top of the screen is secured to the top of the fence using the S hooks starting from the corner of the dugout The bottom of the screen is secured using the carabiners Start here to take down Start here to put up To take down the screens, start from the opposite side as when you put them up and roll the screen as you go.
