Every Friday night during the 2017-2018 basketball season, hosts Ryan Epling, Coach Ric Morrone, Joe Linville, Bill Cornwell and guests provide insightful analysis of high school basketball games that were played during the previous week, and a preview of games to be played over the weekend and upcoming week. Meet the hosts of Basketball Friday Night Ryan Epling is a graduate of Marshall and began as the voice of the Wayne Pioneers at the age of 16. Ryan has been heard on many Marshall sports broadcasts and has called games for local high school teams. Ryan is considered to be a walking encyclopedia of high school sports. He has media contacts throughout the state who participate in the program on a weekly basis. Ryan is employed by WSAZ-TV in Huntington. He continues working with Marshall Athletics and Wayne County Schools, where he serves as the voice of the Wayne Pioneers. Ric Morrone is in his 25th year as the head coach of the Tolsia Lady Rebels and has been a guest host on local radio sports programs in the Tri-State area. A graduate of Marshall, Coach Morrone is employed by the Wayne County Board of Education as both a coach and educator. Coach Morrone has a large network of coaches and players throughout West Virginia who actively participate in the program. As a current coach, Morrone brings that unique coach s perspective to listeners. Joe Linville began in radio at the age of 19 as a DJ and News Director at WWBB in Madison. He started in sports broadcasting as a color analyst for high school football and later became the playby-play announcer for the area High School Game of the Week on WZAC-FM. For over 25 years he has been known around Madison as the Voice of the Scott Skyhawks and serves as the play-by-play announcer on Friday nights during football season on WZAC-FM. He also broadcasts basketball and serves as a co-host on the Allen Hatcher Show Saturday mornings on WVOW in Logan. Bill Cornwell is a lifelong resident of the Huntington Tri-State area with over 30 years of broadcast experience, and has won numerous AP awards throughout his broadcasting career. Bill is the public address voice for Marshall University Football and is also part of the Marshall IMG Radio Network crew for football and men s basketball broadcasts. In his spare time, Bill enjoys playing in the Ceredo- Kenova Alumni Band and the Greater Huntington Symphonic Band. He can be heard weekdays as the co-host of the Big John and Company morning show on 93.7 The Dawg in the Tri-State. basketballnight.com 3
