Georgia State Panther Gamenotes Game #15, #16 10/16 vs. Northeastern, 10/18 vs. Hofstra 4:30 p.m., 1 p.m. Panthers to Watch vs. Northeastern and Hofstra Seniors Kari Quinn, Caitlin Smith, and Virginia Wood are playing in their final home matches at Georgia State this weekend. The trio have contributed in 41 Panther victories heading into the weekend. Kari QUINN Senior, Midfielder - Quinn has started 30 career games for the Panthers, scoring fi ve goals and notching two assists. - As a freshman, in 2005, scored two goals against Winthrop, including the game-winner. - Four-time recipient of the CAA Commissioner s Academic Award, a two-time Dean s List honoree, and earned a spot on the President s List in 2008. Caitlin SMITH Senior, Midfielder - Smith has appeared in 51 games for the Panthers, starting 13. - Has accumulated two career assists and compiled a stellar academic record at Georgia State, making appearances on the Dean s List, Athletic Director s Honor Roll, and is a two-time recipient of the CAA Commissioner s Academic Award. Virginia WOOD Senior, Defender - Wood has started 34 of her 47 games played at Georgia State since joining the Panthers from Louisiana State University in 2007. - A mainstay on the Georgia State back line, Wood has contributed to 14 Panther shutouts in her career. Freshman Sarah Bennett has put together a promising freshman campaign, thus far. Bennett s six goals and 14 points lead the Panthers. - Wood will graduate in the spring with a degree in psychology.

Martelli is the winningest coach in Panther history, accounting for over half of Georgia State s all-time wins (150-133-24). - Last year, the Panthers tied the school record for most CAA victories in season. Since joining the CAA, the Panthers have improved or matched the conference win total of the previous year. - Georgia State unveiled new logos, a new mascot, and a new offi cial font on September 2nd, as part of the Countdown to Kickoff Pep Rally for football. All Georgia State sports teams, including women s soccer, will adopt the logo for the remainder of the season before incorporating it on their uniforms in 2010. - Georgia State is working to reschedule the September 6 rainout against Alabama A&M.
