AHLLive.com Radio...ESPN Radio Back On The Road The Albany Devils begin a five-game road trip, starting against the Syracuse Crunch Friday at 7 pm. The team then heads east to face the Hartford Wolf Pack Saturday at 7:30 pm. Albany is fourth in the North Division and tied for seventh in the Eastern Conference at 4-3-2-0 (.556). The Week That Was The Devils concluded a five-game homestand with a 3-1-1-0 record, including a 1-1-1-0 mark last weekend. After falling, 3-2, to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Friday, the Devils rebounded for a 6-1 win against the Utica Comets Saturday. Albany then dropped a 3-2 decision in overtime against the Toronto Marlies Sunday. Mike Sislo and Joseph Blandisi led all scorers with five points apiece. Sislo registered four goals and an assist and Blandisi had five helpers. Blandisi Ties Franchise Mark Joseph Blandisi s four assists in Saturday s win against the Comets tied a franchise record. He joined the likes of Olivier Magnan (2008), Jon DiSalvatore (2008), Cory Murphy (2009), and Matt Lorito (2015). Blandisi, who was the 2015 OHL s Overage Player of the Year, is fourth on the team with seven points (2g-5a). Home Scoring The Devils produced a season-high six goals Saturday. Dating back to Apr. 15, 2015 when the team also scored six goals at home (a 6-2 win against the Syracuse Crunch), Albany has outscored opponents 27-13, going 5-1-1-0 during that span. Since the start of the 2013-14 season, the Devils are 47-22-6-6 on home ice. 1

NEWS & NOTES Last Week Recap Devils 2 vs. Sound Tigers 3 Despite Vojtech Mozik and Mike Sislo both finding the back of the net, the Devils lost, 3-2, against the Sound Tigers. Between the pipes, Doug Carr made his Times Union Center debut and made 17 stops. Bridgeport received scoring from Alan Quine, Justin Vaive and Bracken Kearns. Former Devil Joe Whitney posted an assist and a pair of penalty minutes. Goaltender Stephon Williams registered his fourth win of the season; he had 15 saves. Justin Vaive (BRI) Devils 6 vs. Comets 1 Four Devils had multiple points as the team defeated the Utica Comets, 6-1, Saturday at Times Union Center. Rookie Joseph Blandisi led the way with four assists and Mike Sislo had two goals and an assist. Matt Lorito posted a goal and two helpers and Ben Thomson had a tally and an assist. Yann Danis (ALB) Devils 2 vs. Marlies 3 (OT) Toronto s Mark Arcobello scored his second goal of the game just 20 seconds into overtime, helping the Marlies knock off the Devils, 3-2, in overtime Sunday. Reid Boucher had a goal and an assist and Mike Sislo also scored. Yann Danis, who was the game s second star, made 18 of 21 saves. Andrew Campbell (TOR) Sislo Off To Hot Start Mike Sislo leads the Devils and is tied for third in the AHL with six goals. Additionally, he is first on the team with nine points and tied for 17th in the league. He is on a five-game point streak with four goals and three assists during that span. He has points in seven of eight games this season. In 255 career AHL games, the 27-year-old has 143 points with 71 goals and 72 helpers. He ranks second all-time in franchise history for points, second for goals, tied for fifth for assists and third with 23 power-play tallies. Danis Carrying The Load Yann Danis, who celebrated his 400th professional game with a victory on Oct. 24, had his four-game winning streak snapped during Sunday s overtime loss. He has stopped 108-115 in his last five outings. The 34-year-old is 4-1-2 on the season. He ranks tied for eighth in in the AHL for wins, 16th for goals-against average (2.12) and fifth for minutes (423:54). The Quarterback Marc-Andre Gragnani, who Head Coach Rick Kowalsky called the best power-play quarterback in the league, is tied for first in the AHL with seven power-play points and leads the way with seven power-play assists. Gragnani, who is currently on a five-game point streak with six helpers, is second in the AHL among defenseman with eight points and tied for first with eight assists. During his AHL career, Gragnani is averaging 0.72 points per game, posting 242 points in 334 games. The veteran blueliner won the Eddie Shore Award for top AHL Defenseman during the 2010-11 season, registering 60 points (12g-48a) with the Portland Pirates. He led the league in assists and points by a defenseman. He spent the previous two seasons in Europe, helping HC Lev Praha to the finals of the Gagarin Cup in 2014 and SC Bern to the Swiss Cup Championship in 2015. Rookie Firsts Ryan Kujawinski and Blake Coleman both registered their first career goals during Saturday s win against the Comets. Kujawinski scored at 11:52 of the third period and Coleman followed at 17:45. Kujawinski, who was New Jersey s second choice (73rd overall in 2013), played four seasons in the OHL with Sarnia, Kingston, and North Bay. He logged a total of 231 games, producing 90 goals and 94 assists for 184 points and had 126 penalty minutes. Coleman, New Jersey s second choice (75th overall in 2011), spent four years at Miami University, playing 143 games and registering 60 goals and 47 assists for 107 points. Lorito Picks Up Where He Left Off Coming off 12 points (3g-9a) in 11 AHL games last season as an ATO, Matt Lorito has kept up the same pace this year. He has eight points (2g- 6a) in eight outings. The Oakville, ON native spent the last four seasons at Brown (ECAC), serving as captain his senior year. Lorito led the Bears in scoring two of the four years. Appleby Update Netminder Ken Appleby is 4-0-0 with the Adirondack Thunder (ECHL) and has helped them to a league best 6-0-0-0 start. Appleby has a 1.99 goals-against average and a.935 save percentage. DEVILS VS. OPPONENTS Devils vs. Crunch All-Time Series Friday s game will be the 43rd all-time meeting between the two franchises. The Devils are 16-20-2-4 overall with a 5-12-1-3 home mark and an 11-8-1-1 road record. Last year, Albany went 2-3-1-2. Last Meeting Matt Lorito tied a franchise record, producing five points (1g-4a) in the Devils 6-2 victory against the Crunch on Apr. 16.
